Wondering about HPTs

Post by momof2 »

Transferred two blastocysts on the 17th of Feb, I guess 6dpt (not sure if thats right) Had cramps at first, nothing now other then crying for no reason. I did an HPT this morning (not first urine) and it was BFN, this should be reliable at this time, correct.

Hi momof2! When is your beta test? My doctor tests 14 days post Retrieval. I wouldn't get too down about your HPT. I would wait until your beta and bloodwork. Good luck to you!

Every one of my HPT's were a BFN and then I was pg with twins! I took them all of every type and not even a faint line. I haven't trusted them since!

Good luck to you!

HPTs vary in sensitivity as I found out trying all of them that I could find. The one that seemed the most sensitive was FRER (that is EARLY result, not rapid result). I got the rapid one and realized its not very sensitive at all.

Anyway, I got positive, then negative on digital, etc, etc.... So do not worry yet. I had no symptoms either...

Yes definitely don't stop meds! You have come this long on your cycle. Try to holdoff until Friday until you are sure of the results.
