I have abdominal pain and cramping

Post by prayinggg »

I am 7 weeks pregnant. I've had abdominal pain now for a couple of days with mild cramping, and some sharp pains as well around my ovaries. Is this normal in pregnancy??? Please help

It can be totally normal. I get bad ligament pain very early in my pregnancies. But it can also mean something is not right. You probably need to see a doctor and have a scan to rule out eptopic (sp) pregnancy.

Good luck

Jamie, if I did have ectopic, wouldn't the pain be more severe and on one side only and wouldn't the tube rupture by now? I also worry about m/c.

Not necessarily. You can get varying pain with an eptopic - from really sever all over the abdomen area to nothing at all. I would go to the doctor and ask for a scan as soon as you can. If you do have an eptopic you want to avoid your tube rupturing so the sooner they pick it up the better.
