6 week pregnant/no heart beat.

Post by natashamom »

Hello,

I was 6 weeks 3 days pregnant and went for my first u/s but couldnt see embryo or h/b,my uterus is stuck high in my abdomen so the nurse thinks this is the reason we couldnt see much, only an empty sack.

Going tomorrow for another u/s,will be 7 weeks and 2 days and praying for the best .

Anyone had same situation?

Thanks,

Natasha.

I didn't see a h/b until about 7 1/2 weeks. But at my 6 week scan they could see a sack and a fetal pole.

Good luck.

Hi,

So sorry u are going thru this stress .... i had a scan at 5+wks and they couldnt see nothing, just a sac, went back the following week when i should have been 6wks and 6days, i was showing at 6wks +3days they could see the fetal pole, but they couldnt see a HB. By the time i went back at 7wks + 4 days, the baby still hadnt grown, and a few days alter i m/c ...

BUT ......

I know a lot of women who have had this happen an gone on to have a healthy baby. I know its easy for me to sit here an say dont stress about it, cos ur going to stress until u know for sure... I do hope everything turns out ok for you, i wouldnt want anyone to go thru what i did - please keep us updated with ur progress an i hope your scan shows a beautiful healthy HB ...

Thank you so much ladies,I really need all the support I can get.

So sorry to hear about your loss,Becky, hope you``ll try again and have a healthy baby.

Wow,I`m really happy to hear some women can only see the h/b at 7 weeks or more.

I`ll update you today after my u/s.

Again a big thank you,

Natasha.

Hello,

just came back from u/s,it doesnt seem too promising, the embryo did grow but no h/b...

Went for blood test and waiting for results.

I`m supposed to be 7 weeks and 3 days but u/s mesures 6 weeks 3 days.

The nurse thinks either I`ll miscarry soon or the implantation took place at a later time.

I`m just praying here for a miracle.

natashasmom,

i saw this post and figured i'd reply here (had posted before on your other thread).

first, let me say that i wish all the best for you. they say when you do ivf sometimes the fetus is behind. keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

i am in the same boat. i went today for my followup us (i'd be 7w4d based on my ivf timing) and the tech saw growth and i think possibly a fetal pole, but she wouldn't give me any stats. she said she couldn't do that, that everything has to be verified and determined by the radiologist. so, i have to wait again until tomorrow. she did say that they'll likely want me to go back for another scan. she had DH come in and see the GS and YS, and the potential fetal pole. she was having a hard time measuring as my uterus is unicornuate (half size of normal and over to the left, and she said it tilts up). she did have me hold my breath while she "tried to count"..whatever that meant.

so, we just have to wait and see and hold out for a little longer.

prayers and good wishes to you!

Thanks so much for your reply.

I did a blood test today and it came back almost double,6 days ago it was 10,000 and today 18,000,I`ll have my u/s in 2 days and then I guess they`ll decide.

I`m praying for you and me to have positive outcome.

My best wishes and pls keep me update and I`ll do too for sure..

Let`s keep positive...

Good luck to you hon. Sounds very similar to my m/c. We did our last u/s at 8 weeks and the fetal pole had actually gotten a little smaller so we decided to chemically induce the m/c. I still wondered then but now seeing how the baby was supposed to have developed, I know we did the right thing.

And no matter how hard it is now, knowing you can get pregnant is still a step in the right direction!

Natashamom,

Im sorry to hear about ur scan. I too had all the symptoms, sore boobs, feeling nausea. It was cos the sac was still growing, but seeing the baby and it development (or lack of) i knew that it had died. I do hope an pray u get good news, but if ur meant to be 7wks + 3 days but the baby is showing 6wks + 3 days (thats the biggest my baby got) then a week does make a big difference in a scan honey. I do pray that u will get a miracle, but please prepare urself for a not so good result ....

Sending u lots of love

Becky,

yes, that`s exactly what I`m doing, preparing myself for the worst.

DH is still so positive that it just hurts so much.

Tomorrow got another scan and they`ll decide what to do with me.

It`s just so decieving,I was so happy with my BFP...

That`s just the way it goes, life is a big surprise and I hope I`ll have a better one next time around.

Did you try again?...

I`ll certainly try for another IVF.

Thanks for your wishes.

Good luck to us all,

Natasha.

Yes, certainly don't lose hope yet, I've heard of cases like yours where everything works out fine.

My beta was still rising - the RE said that it was because the placenta, which produces the HcG, was still growing even though the baby was not.

Natashamom Just wanted to say that I'm praying and rooting for you coz I'm in the same boat. I was surfing the internet to see if I could get my info to decrease my stress. I had my first ultrasound yest 2/23 at 6weeks exactly. They didn't see a pole or yolk sac, just a gestational sac at 9mm, beta was 4300 (initial beta 16dp5dt was 101). I too am hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. I've read that its harder to see heartbeats with uterine anomalies and retroverted position. I've also learned that stress doesn't change the outcome (of course I'm still stressing anyway). Miracles happen.
