Back from Saline sonogram. Ok, it wasnt as much prolonged pain as the HSG but comparable. Uterus is all good so we are on for the IVF.

One rant: Dh works for a firm in March. We postponed IVF in February because of a big trial Dh is working on. Now the trial has been postponed to the end of March. Dh said he is telling them he simply cant be there. They know we are doing IVF and why we moved it to March. Dh said his bosses are going to have to deal with it.

glad all went ok Lationo - just another hurdle in IVF journey that you will overcome with DH work .. are you not having treatment locally - cos he would only need little time off to do his bit and take you for ER/EC ???

Just a thought :D

Hi ladies. I know some of you from the other room but my background is extensive (at least to me)- 7 months TTC natural, 7 months clomid, 3 months clomid with IUI, 1st IVF- BFP m/c @ 8 weeks and 2nd IVF- BFN. Going into the 2nd one we had already decided to take off a month or two from the fertility stuff. One week after DH lost his job, we got our BFN and lost all insurance coverage (which sucks bc it covered all of it!) so here we are. My RE is amazing and offered all services for free except for the lab fees. He said he is researching a new treatment for me. It will be IUI again but this time with Femara- its supposed to be a lot better than clomid. Who knows, maybe it'll happen naturally now that the stress of daily shots and worrying is gone. DH is still looking for a job (if you know of ay lawyers hiring in Houston let me know!) but is a trooper. He's gone from making a ton to making nothing and is actually going to start waiting tables to make ends meet for our family. I love him so much.

Wow- I sure said a lot! Anywho, I look forward to joining y'all in here. I know I am not doing IVF but this forum seems to go far beyond that, I don't know where I would be without ladies like y'all helping me through.

IVF 2- BFN
husband laid off- no infertility coverage
3X with femara, all BFN's but has regulated my cycle and FINALLY got positives on ovulation test
Currently on my 4th cycle with femara

Hi ladies, just checking in. Hope everyone is well today.

I'm starting to get more excited now, only 8 days until I start sniffing!

Sari, let me know as/when you know anything about your likely dates and whether you and I will be coinciding. As Carolyn said, in the UK you get your drugs bit by bit, as you get to the various stages, but I can imagine it is quite daunting if they all arrive at once! Do you feel like you could open a pharmacy??

Carolyn, I've been meaning to ask why on your 'signature', your IVF is down as being done in Prague when you are from the UK. How does that work in terms of you needing to be at the clinic for scans/tests etc? And I'm from Hertfordshire. You? Thanks for the offer of being my needle nurse - LOL, I'm planning to just close my eyes, stab and hope for the best!

Jenn, welcome. I've done 4 IUI's (all on Clomid) and agree that it is a lot less stressful than the IVF process appears to be. Hoping that Femara is just the thing you need to get your BFP. When are you going to be having the IUI?

Take care all,

Hazel

We have a consultation with my RE on March 13 to go over our options. I dont know if we will try again just yet in March, we may wait until April. It really depends on how much it is and what DH's situation is. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Have a good one ladies!

Wishing for 4- Welcome to our thread! I do recognize you from the other thread. I added you to our list here and hope this time will be your time. I am sorry to read about everything you have been through.

hjw- so exciting, only 8 days of bcp's left.

Sari- I get all my drugs in one delivery too, it is crazy, I opened my door and 2 huge boxes are there, takes a while to go through it all.

latino- sorry about dh's work tr noubles. They should understand if you told them ahead of time. Hopefully your dh won't need too many days off if you are doing ivf locally.

So I was just about to post my update, b/c I called the clinic this morning to let them know af was almopst over so I could get in for the polyp removal. I was hopeful I could still cycle in March, but just as I was typing that, they called me back. And I had to erase everything I wrote and type this. My polyp removal is set up for March 12, and stims were supposed to start on March 13, so march is a no go for me. RE says my body will need time to heal and it was the first open slot at the hospital. I am kinda ticked b/c I feel like they held me off on purpose, for their own scheduling. So I guess we will be starting stims around 4/10, with er/et and fresh TESE the week of 4/20 (which is my birthday week, so maybe it's good luck).

It is just so frustrating to keep getting delayed. I know it is a silly reason, but I was hoping for march because if it were successful, then delivery would be before the end of the year, which means my children would only be one grade apart in school, which would mean I could go back to teaching a year earlier. I know we will need the second income by then, so I figured when they were both in preschool, I could do it. Doing the cycle in april means a due date of mid january and even with a scheduled c-sec, they won't do it 2 weeks early....oh well, what is meant to be will be...maybe I will have twins and be due in december anyway! That would be crazy, I don;t know if I could handle 3 kids under the age of 2, but what a blessing it would be! Thanks for letting me vent my thoughts ladies... :D

Dh works for a NYC firm (where we used to live) and now works remotely from Texas. He is in litigation (Creative Director for a jury consulting firm) but travels extensively depending on the trials he is on. He is away currently. He did have a talk with the boss and he said they would work around him not being at the trial at the end of March. While Im relieved, I know in the thick of a trial, the compassion by bosses goes out the window. Treatment is local here in TX.

Sari, I ordered mine yesterday and I didnt realize how many drugs I have to take. What is the tetracycline for?

CTMichele, sorry for the delay but just keep in mind you want the best option for the best end result.

Waitingforyou, keep us informed with an update.

hjw, only 8 days. YIPEE!

Yay! I figured out how to add images, so I added some bling to our board! I also tried to put us in chronological order, so hopefully I got it right. Let me know if anything needs to be updated or changed.
