I had my ER yesterday morning and they only retrieved 6 eggs. I was so bummed by the low number, especially since the RE said that I should get at least 10 eggs. I got the report on how they did this morning and only 3 made it through the night. My DH and I are so disappointed. I just feel like our odds are diminshing fast. My ET is scheduled for Thursday but I will know for sure tomorrow when they call. Has anyone else had similar results and gotten a BFP?

I have been posting on all the other boards I must've skipped over this one!!

Anxious
I know we all want lots of eggs come retrieval day but in the end they only put in 2 to 3 anyway. As long as your little 3 make it that's all that matters. If I were you I would do a 3dt. Wouldn't risk losing them waiting the other 2 days.

Molly23
Good luck I hope you get twins!! My RE only does 2 BETA's. Not sure why. I have notices that everyone else gets 3 and 4. Those #'s can be tricky. Just never know what yout gonna have till that U/S!!

kate65
Congrats on the twins!!!

Lady_J
Good luck tomorrow with the ER. Before you know it you'll get your BFP!! Then you can eat all you want!

mandeekins
Are you having alot of heartburn or are you taking maloxx for upset stomach?

Well I had an U/S done early today. i was having probs over the weekend and i wans't even going to call RE about it untip a friend told me it didn't sound right. So I called and they wanted me in today. I have a mild to moderate case of OHSS plus a cyst on the right ovary. MY ovaries are HUGE!!!  I am so swollen from all of the fluid. Said it would take several weeks to go away. :(
On a good note I got to see one little baby in there and the RE said he could see the heartbeat!!! I soooo wanted twins but I am happy with what the Lord gave me. Healthy is all that matters! I go for another U/S next Fri. My mom said she was going out tomorrow and start buying baby clothes  A LITTLE EARLY FOR THAT MOM!!!

Awwl Tburks I am so happy for you, and you being able to see your baby. I am sorry about the OHSS, but you will get better.

Lady J good luck on your transfer tomorrow. Why are you on a special diet?

The internet is EVIL EVIL EVIL! I went to look some things up today, since I have no symptoms really, and I learned all about Blighted Ovums and other things I never wanted to hear. I just want next Tuesday to be here and have my ultrasound already.

Hello Ladies... well finishing dinner up for my DH for tomorrow since I will most likeley be in bed all afternoon.

Molly... yes the internet is EVIL  Dont worry yourself on what u read. Everything will be ok, u will finally get to see your little bean or beans  At my scan on monday, my nurse gave me that special diet cuz according to her, they want my stomach as clean as possible cuz my ovaries are kind of high and it should bring them down... I just think they just dont want any accidents at ER  Last cycle, they just had me not eat or drink anything after midnight, but now, they had me take the laxative. All I know is that I was starving today and so grumpy. I ate a soup that didnt do justice for me... I want spaghetti ...aaarrrgh :o . Oh well, tonight before i go to bed I am going to have me some Sherbert Ice cream..Yum!!!

tburks... Thanks for the positive vibes.Sorry to hear about the OHSS, hopefully things will clear up. They they tell u to drink lots of gatorade or anything? Congrats on seeing your little bean. So happy for you.

Rosario... I am glad that u r already looking ahead for your next cycle. I hope this time u will get your well awaited BFP. good Luck hun.

Anxious... Congrats on ER. Sorry that u did not get too many eggs, but as the old saying goes.. All U Need Is 1. 1st cycle, I only had 4 eggs and 2 fertilized, I did not get my BFP, but that doesnt mean that you wont. Good Luck hun.. sending you sticky positive vibes.

Well, ladies, I am off to go get some rest. I will check back in later.
I am 32 yrs / DH is 34
PCOS/1 tube/ DH low sperm count
1st IVF cycle... Nov 2008 = BFN

Lady J: Yay for your upcoming retrieval!! Boo for your liquid diet! gross. Oh the things we do to increase our chances.. Looking foward to being PUPO with you very soon. :D

Molly: Step away from the keyboard, hun!! The evil internet will suck you in and make you worry more than you already are worrying. Keep up the PMA and try to stay busy until your US. :)

tburks: Congrats on seeing your perfect little one, you lucky girl! I hope your OHSS and cyst resolve soon.

Rosario: Way to keep your head up and go forward! I'm sure your BFP is right around the corner.

Anxious: I'm praying that your 3 little embies are the strong little fighters that will give you your BFP.

Molly: Can't wait to find out how many little buns are in your oven. As long as they're healthy and thriving, that is good news.

Kate: Congrats on your little twins!!!!!

to have fun: Congrats on getting your meds. I hope and pray this cycle brings you your BFP.

I got the fert report at 5pm, after waiting by the phone all day long. lol! Of the 19 eggs, 14 were mature. 13 of the 14 fertilized. RE is leaning toward a day 5 transfer, which would be Saturday. I'll know for sure tomorrow. :) Thanks to all for your well wishes, PMA and babydust.

Rosario -Good luck at your appointment. Hope you get some answers for your RE.

Lady_J - Good luck on your ER. Hope you get lots of good eggies.

Went to my baseline u/s and b/w and I have 4 leftover follies from my last cycle. I am sure I will be canceled. Just waiting for the official word from the nurse. I guess I will then do 3 weeks of BCP's and be back in the game in March. I will keep you all posted. I knew it would be too good to be true to start again so early after my last cycle. Cycling now would have just worked out too well with other plans were are making. Oh well, life goes on.

Hi guys,
Sorry I've been so MIA but there's been nothing to report until now. Finally getting to start to my FET cycle. I started estrace on Monday and my tentative transfer date is Nov 13. I have to go back next Monday for b/w & sono. I was a slow stimmer for my IVF cycle so I'm not sure if I'll be delayed for this. But, at least I feel like I'm getting closer. Which of course is also making me much more nervous. Any suggestions on how to calm nerves... :-)

Hope everyone out there is doing well!

Hey all-

Sorry I haven't been around too much, but I have definitely been reading and am so happy everyone here is doing so well.

Lady J- good luck with trigger!

Nursegator- Congrats on a good fert report and good luck with your upcoming transfer

Molly- You are what I like to call a cyber-chodriac! I love that term, learned it a few months ago, it is one who googles everything and then worries they are ill or sick or have something terrible. The internet is great for most things, but not good for others!

afm- Looks like I am getting pushed out until april. My polyp removal is set for 3/12, which I just found out today, and march's cycle at my clinic would have been starting stims on 3/13, so I can't do it. Looks like I will be stimming around 4/10 with er/et/fresh TESE around 4/20. I will still check in on you guys, but I have been nesting on the march/april thread, since I figured this would happen. Anyone who is gearing up for their next cycle, feel free to stop by on march/april too, you will see some familiar faces there.

Good news... I will be getting some genetic testing done before my cycle starts which i will have to wait at least 2-4 weeks for the results. My RE is trying to find out why after 2 IVFs and 3 embryos each cycle being transferred it has not been successful. My RE is also suggesting an endometrial biopsy to see if there are any chronic infections. If the test comes back positive i will be on antibiotics for 2 weeks. My RE has decided to go for the micro lupron protocol. I am confident and possibly no POAS this time =]

Rosario - After my last IVF failed, they did an endometrial biopsy on me and I DID have an infection (and a polyp). I took antibiotics for 10 days, they repeated the biopsy during my hysteroscopy, and I STILL had a slight infection, so I went to two Zpacs, for another 10 days (and had the polyp removed). My doc said either one of those factors could have easily affected impantation. I'm hoping that's all it was, but I'm glad your clinic is doing it. I only wish they would do more of this stuff beforehand! Good luck.

TBurks: I am 5 weeks today & am definitely still cramping. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this also. Glad to hear I'm not the only one! It's a terrible feeling though, I keep wondering what is going on in there. I have to wait 2 more weeks for my first ultrasound. Longest 2 weeks of my life!
