Hi LMV – Just a little about myself… I am 32 and DH and I have been TTC since 2004. We had several rounds of IUI in 06. I with Clomid and 3 with injections. I remember telling DH that on my 3rd round of injections that if I didn’t get pregnant then I didn’t want to go through another round of IUI again. The meds were really getting to me – ugh! Well I didn’t get pregnant and so we stopped the meds. We decided that the beginning of 2007 we would try IVF. 2007 came and we had our 1st round of IVF and we also got that BFP. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in December 2007. She is now 14 months. We are now on IVF #2 and praying for another successful cycle. I had my ET today, Sunday. 2 blasts were transferred. And I have my 1st beta on 3/3. I have been in bed all day and I am getting very restless!

Very good friends of ours went through infertility treatments with 1 doctor and was not successful. They changed doctors and had their 2nd IVF treatment last year and was successful. She also gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

Baby dust to you! And hoping you get that BFP that you have always wanted!

Thanks so much ctran. I hope you get the BFP you deserve as well!!!!
We have been TTC since about 2001. At first we had the attitude to let nature take its course and if it happend great, if not we were ok. Then we thought we'd try clomid to kind of push things along which did nothing. As we get older we've decided we want this more than we imagined. We started full force with IVF in 2007. It's so hard to go through. I don't have to tell you! My sister went through this as well, she has triplets that are 11 years old. We would be thrilled for at least one.
Best of luck to you, you are on my prayers and let me know how it turns out on the 3rd.

Hi LMV - I went to my first beta test yesterday. I have been a nervous wreck these last few days. I got my results back and I am pregnant! My first beta is 359! I go back for my 2nd beta on Thursday. Also I took my last progesterone shot last night - yay! They switched me to suppositories. I should receive those today.

How have you been? When is your beta test?

Baby dust to you!

ctran that is wonderful news!!!! Congrats I am so happy for you!!! After my transfer I started on PIO and suppositories. Maybe after I get my BFP they will take me off one. I'll do what ever though! So, are you having any symptoms yet? My beta is tomorrow. I know what you mean by a nervous wreck. I wanted to take the entire day off of work but I have to be there tomorrow. Keep me posted on your progress! Again, congrats to you!!!!!

Thanks LMV! Yes I am starting to have symptoms. I have been eating a lot since the transfer and I thought it might be from the progesterone. I am having a very BIG sweet tooth. I am starting to get a little tired. Recently I have been getting very hot. It's a little frustrating because I wake up in the middle of the night soooo hot and then I can't go back to sleep. I have been waking up in the middle of the night to use the restroom - several times. Nothing unbearable but enough to know I am not quite my normal self. Good luck on your beta today. Try to stay busy at work today - easier said than done. I am praying for you!

Hello,

I'm new posting too, my story, I'm 32 with one ovary (left) and husband with low count, we tried for 10 year naturally, 3 pregnancies loss...Since we don't have health insurance, i searched clinics in Mexico City and I found one clinic with a main clinic in NY and good reputation. My doctor was very gentile and careful with my ovary, I got 5 eggs and only 3 embryos..( i guess was a good count for only one ovary) On the 01/03 I got transfered only 2, my doctor saw my endometrium with 13.5 mm thick so he wanted to lower the risk of 3 implants...Today was my 5th day on bed resting like my Dr. said. I'm in progesterone and my beta test is on the 12th...

Cheers to everybody!!!

Good luck babymex, congrats siouxsie! I had some bad news from Sat. the Dr said my level only went up to 98. He's not very optimistic, but says there is some hope. He says it's possible 2 implanted at first and now only one is staying. I go back in Monday for another beta. We're just devitated.

Don’t give up yet. My 1st to 2nd beta only went from 41 to 45. They told me this was really bad and that we probably wouldn’t make it. Lo and behold, they started doubling normally on the 3rd and 4th check. The only explanation I’ve been given is possible lab error. As of yesterday, we’re looking fine: 12.3mm, 118 hb, sized right for 7w3d.
There’s another thread on slow rising betas and it has some more positive stories.

Anyway, it’s not over ‘til it’s over. Try and stay calm and hopeful, impossible, I know.

Beta came back 147. Dr said he wished it was at least 150 but was encouraged and surprised that it went up. Still, DH and I aren't getting too excited, when we had our first m/c (blighted ovum) my levels went up then too. Next beta is Wed. He said he will great if we're over 300.
I hope everyone is well and everything is going great!
