YEAH, I get to start stims tonight. My levels were good and they are not worried about the leftover follicle. I will be doing 20u lupron 225u menopure and 225u follistim.

Lady_j - how did ER go?

Rosario - That is very interesting about the genetic testing. I really hope if this doesn't work this time, that my doctor look into that. The lab said that my DHs fresh sample on Monday had a lot of abnormal sperm. DH was freaked out by this. So, we used the frozen sample, but I am concerned about this as well.

My ET is tomorrow morning. All 3 of my embies made it another day.
1 - 4 cell grade 2
1 - 3 cell grade 2
1 - 2 cell grade 4

I reallly hope they hang in there until I can keep them safe tomorrow. Has anyone had similar cells and grades and gotten BFP?

2nd IVF - BFP!!!!

:( Hello ladies... well, I had my ER today. Not as great as I expected. I had a whole bunch of follies, but they were only able to retreive from my left ovary. They could not get any from my right ovary. According to my RE, my Right Ovary is so high up and my bowel is in the way. They tried to move it or tugg around it but didnt work, and they didnt want to risk poking my intestine with the needle. So from my left ovary I only got 6 eggs. :( Well, it is 2 more than last time, but I am still somewhat dissapointed with everything. I will see how many if any fertilize tomorrow.. so most likely I will be doing a 3dt again, which will make it for Saturday.

Well, has anyone ever had that problem? And I only have my right tube as it is so now I am wondering if that is the reason I am not able to get PG naturally. I am going to check with my Family Dr. to see if its an issue that has to be corrected surgically or thru other means. So now I have a right ovary full of eggs, that r going to ovulate on there own, but I can't do the BD with my DH. Honestly, has anyone ever did the BD after ER but before ET?

Well, I got home and ate my spaghetti cuz I was so hungry. And 5 hrs later, I have major heartburn. My stomach is sore, not as bad as last time, and I have to start my Heparin shots tonight again and POI on Friday night. Aaaarrrrgg. I hope and pray that my eggies will all fertilize and I can at least freeze for another round in the Sping. If I have to start a new cycle, then Iwill just wait till the end of the year. Wish me luck ladies.

Nursegator... Congrats on your 13 embies. Let me have a few hun  Well, I am glad they r doing well. Good Luck at your ET whether tomorrow or Saturday.

Chris... At first I was going to say sorry about the new delay, but now it has been changed to YIPEE!!! congrats on starting stims. I hope this cycle is your cycle girl. Good luck.

Robin... Good Luck with your FET. When are you going to have it?

Ct_Michele... Well, before u know it, April will be here. Good Luck with your new cycle and good luck with the removal of your Polyp. Keep us posted.

Rosario... Good Luck with genetic testing. If this fails for me, i guess I will ahve to ask about that next cycle. Good luck hun. Keep us posted.

Espinoza.... I am sending you lots of sticky baby viv=bes for your March FET. I hope u get your BFP this time.

Well ladies, i need to find a way to get rid of this heartburn cuz it is annoying me... and I feel as if I want to  . I will check back in later.

Lady J: I am so so sorry that they couldn't get to your right ovary!! That is horrible! :( I'm praying hard that your six eggs will be STRONG embryos and will give you your well deserved BFP! I also have ET on Saturday, so we will definitely be 2ww buddies. :)

Espinozal and robin: Congrats on starting your frozen cycle!

Anxious: Such good news that all of your embies made it through another day!! That proves they are fighters!! GL tomorrow and lots of sticky babydust.

tohavefun: Happy stimming to you!

Rosario: I'm glad that your RE is looking into genetic testing. I hope you get some answers.

Well, I am all set for a Saturday morning transfer. All 13 of my embryos are still doing well and I'm on cloud nine right now! Sticky babydust to all!!

Lady J - Sorry they couldn't get to your ovary. My last cycle that I had ER for some reason they didn't get any eggs out of my right ovary eventhough I had 7 or 8 follicles. They didn't have any trouble getting to it so I don't know why I didn't have any eggs. Kind of worries me that maybe my right isn't working correctly. 6 eggs is still a good amount. All I am looking for is to have 3 good embies on day 3 to transfer. I figure that getting some to freeze is like a miracle so why ask for a lot since they probably won' t make it to freeze.
Oh go ahead and do the deed. I think I would if I knew that you had eggs up there that could possibly be fertilized. Just tell DH that it is a quickie. In and out and be done with it. Hehe. I know how romantical.

Espinoza - Keeping my fingers crossed that this FET will work for you. How have you been?

Rosario - I so want to do some genetic testing. If I ever make it to ER and ET again and I get another BFN then I am switching clinics. There is one in my area SIRM and I here they do a lot of genetic testing. I still think there is something wrong, I don't like the whole unexplained infertility diagnosis.

CT_Michele - April will be here before you know it. Gosh I can't believe it will already be March next week. Sorry you couldn't cycle earlier. I will be checking on you in April.

Robin - It was so good to hear from you again. Glad you get to do your FET soon. You are so close to another BFP.

Anxious - Good luck at ET. My last ET I had 3 eggs and did a 3dt. One was a 8 cell, another was a 4 cell and another was a 3 cell. Yours seem to be really good at the stage they are at for a day 2.

Hope everyone else is having a good evening. Good luck to all.

I absolutely love my RE. She is amazing. When I started feeling weird and kept seeing the HPTs get lighter and lighter I said that if it was a BFN I was going to ask for genetic testing and a biopsy. When i walked in, that is the first thing she suggested. I feel that we both are on the same level. I did also suggest possibly transferring 4 but that was a big no no. The most they can do is 3 and thats against medical advice. I did make it clear that even if I did a 5dt I was going to transfer 3 no matter what. She said she is hesitant but as long as I know the risks and I sign the papers she can't do much about it. I am so positive right now. I can't wait to get results of these test so maybe we can get somewhere.

Knowing how strict all of our RE's are about how many we put back in don't you think it is odd how that lady put in 6????? I mean I was going to do 3 and you should've seen how they were acting. The fact that I was not going to do selective reduction if I had gotten pregnant with 3 made them go against it even worse! Don't get me wrong I know the chances are slim to have that many take and I would never dream of putting in 6  But I think 3 is a good # and if you want twins I just think it gives you better odds.

I have been wondering what happened to my other little one they put in there. Do you all know what happens to it if it doesn't implant? I haven't had any bleeding or anything just curious where the little guy went.....

tburks - I think the little ones that don't implant just get absorbed into your body.
As far as that RE putting back 6. That was just craziness. I could see someone might put back 6 if it is sucky egg quality, the patient has never been PG before and has had failed IVF cycles. This time they new the eggs were of good quality that she could get PG because she had 6 kids. If I was the RE, I wouldn't care of what the patient asked for I think I would have stood on some principles before putting back 6. I guess that is if the Re had any principles. It just makes me mad because now everyone is looking down on IVF and it makes IVF look like it can just be a baby factory when in most cases it is not.

Lady_J, To_Have_Fun - Thanks! Glad to be back! My tentative transfer date is March 13th but obviously this can change depending on the thickness of my lining and bloodwork results. I have to go back for blood & sono on Monday Mar 2 and I'm guessing probably the following Monday also. But, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll keep you posted.
How are you guys doing?

To Have Fun- I am so happy you got to start your stims, and a new cycle so soon. I was really keeping my fingers crossed and hoping you did not have to wait.

Anxious- I want to know how your transfer went. Let us know how many eggs they got.

espinozal23- Good luck on your FET transfer and I hope this cycle gives you your BFP.

Lady_J- Wow I cannot believe they could not get in your right ovary. I have never heard of anything like that before. You know all you need it one embie in the end. Let us know what your fertization report is today.

Nursegator- Good luck on your transfer and wishing you lots of baby dust.

Rosario- I am so happy your meeting went so well, and your next IVF is sounding very positive.

As for me not really feeling many symtoms yet. something I will feel a little sick but is passes quickly. I am just on pins and needles until my ultrasound.

Lady J: I'm so sorry for the disheartening news. Hopefully you get a good fert report today. I'm curious...did they put you out for your ER? My clinic does but I know some don't. The reason I ask is because my clinic will sometimes go through the stomach when they have problems. Does your clinic not do this? I'm wondering if they did it that way if they'd be able to get to right ovary. That sucks for now, but keep your chin up...it only takes one good embie to stick to you like glue!!!

nursegator: Wow, how exciting for you! So are how many are you transferring? Good luck!

Chris: Yippee for you!!

tburks: I've wondered that too, but I did have some old blood spotting. I've heard your body just absorbs the extra embie, but I've wondered if that's where my older blood came from. I try not to think about it because it reminds me of those horror movies that come out about twins that don't survive! :?

Molly, molly, molly - I'm not so sure you want this icky feeling, I promise that it sucks! :( But, I understand your concern. Look at it this way, maybe you're going to be one of those lucky few who have a great pregnancy and just love being pg!

afm - I had my first visit with my CNM today. We're not birthing at home, I just happened to go to her for my first couple of yearly appts and really really like her! Today was another cool day. I love my ob clinic! They gave us a DVD that we bring in each visit and they do an u/s each visit and record the whole thing for us each time! How cool is that?! :o I'm excited that I'll get to show my dad who lives in Texas! I actually feel better today and didn't take any maalox. The CNM told me to start taking vit B6 tabs twice a day and half a unisom at night. She also told me to switch to childrens chewable vitamins twice daily instead of the prenatal for the rest of my first trimester. She said the iron is too high for what I need right now and could be what's making me sick...interesting?

Hope everyone is doing well...Lady J, I hope you get good news...I'm thinking of you! :D

Mandeekins: I'll transfer 2 or 3 embryos, depending on the quality of the embryos. Since I'm not willing to do selective reduction, most likely I will transfer 2. Are the embryos normally graded on day 3 or will they wait and grade the embryos on day 5?

Iron is often the culprit in morning sickness, esp. when it's taken on an empty or an already queasy stomach. Another tip, eat frequent small meals or snacks that contain protein, since some folks' sickness is triggered by low blood sugar. Keep bland crackers at your bedside, eat them before you get out of bed in the AM and just lay there flat for 10 minutes. (I used to work in an OB clinic) I hope you feel better soon!!

Hi all,

I've been gone for a while. I had ER yesterday and it all seemed well. Before ER they said I had 18 mature eggs. After ER they saw I have bad eggs. They were shocked how my eggs were for my age. Only 12 survived. They called me today and let me know out of the 12...8 show signs of fertilization. I am so scared and worried. I don't know anything about egg quality, but from what I've read on the internet it sounds really bad. Does anyone else have this problem? Please talk to me. I really need someone to talk to about this :( I am sooo scared :(
I'm 26 -DH 27
We just found out we have an egg quality issue
Low count, motility
4 insem
Our First IVF with ICSI
