Hi everyone! I've been a little hesitant to move to this board, but after 3 doubling/tripling betas, I'm feeling a little more confident. We're PREGNANT!! Yeah us!! According to my ER, my due date is Oct. 28th. So far I've had pretty much the same symptoms as everyone else. Super bloated, especially in the evenings & after eating. No one else can tell, but I feel like I'm at least 3-4 months along. It's exciting that some of you are buying maternity clothes. I can't wait to get to that point! I've also been extremely tired & very hungry. The nausea isn't too bad yet as long as I eat frequently. My RE said I could start doing my PIOs every other day instead of daily. I'm excited but nervous about the decrease. I'm doing so well...I don't want to mess up anything. I think I might continue doing them daily for another week. I've had 5 miscarriages so it just makes me nervous!!! I think I'll be nervous until I'm holding my baby in my arms Well, I'm so excited about being apart of this board. I'm glad everyone seems to be doing so well! Grow babies grow!!

Hi Ladies. Well I just got the results from my beta. It should have been 9600 if it doubled correctly. It was only 6900. So the nurse didn't seem too concerned and said that it was okay, but I have been through this before and it didnt end well. My 1st beta was 489 and 2 days later it was 1198. (that was a week ago). I go on Tues for u/s. Now I am really worried. What do you all think?
Hello ladies. I had to have an early U/S today due to some pains I was having. RE wanted to just make sure everything was ok. He saw only one sac but didn't see any fetus. So I won't be joining you guys after all.
I'm worried about RE not seeing a fetus. Is it too early? Some say it is too early. RE just said he wants me back next Thursday, March 5th, for another U/S. He said the sac needs to double in size by then. DH and I are a little more disappointed than we thought we would be about the twin thing too. But, if we can get one healthy baby we'd be happy after TTC for 11 years.

Twinmom - my dr. said they look for a 66% increase every 48 hours that the doubling is a misconception, did you try to calculate it that way instead?
Shelley - my due date is the 29th so we are in the boat. When do you go for your U/S. It's funny how different RE's do things, i have to stay on my PIO's everyday until i am 12 weeks. They are the experts though, so i always trust them.
well I go for to my regular OB on monday which will put a few days shy of 6 weeks, i really hope she does an u/s but i don't think she will. My RE has one scheduled for the 13th. I just keep telling myself, that if I can make it until easter we will be home free. It gives me a good point of reference. i haven't bought any maternity clothes yet, but my family has bought alot of baby clothes already. At first I was worried it was too soon, but the way i look at it is i have to be positive and hope for the best and not think of the worst.
I had my u/s done today and I to just have one lil baby. I thought for sure it would be twins but like you Jenn we are thrilled! I did see the sac and the baby and the RE said he was pretty sure he could see the heartbeat. I also have a mild to moderate case of OHSS. I told them I wasn't worried about me just the baby. He said there was a possiblity that there could be another one in there. I am so swollen inside from the OHSS and so much fluid he said there could be one hiding. I go back next Fri for another u/s.
Jenn - I just don't know what to say other than you were on my mind all day. I couldn't wait to get home to read your post and see how your appt. went. Is there still hope? Maybe it's that it's just taking a little longer to develop? I know how sad you must be feeling right now. We have been trying 15 yrs. I thought today would be a joyous day but the RE was more concerned about the OHSS. He did congratulate me on the pregnancy. He did say it was still early and that most people don't even know they are pregnant by this point. I didn't even get a picture. Hopefully I will get one next week. I'm sorry you didn't see your baby yet. maybe it will be there next week.
mandeekins-
Old Navy is where I ordered my clothes from too! They were having a 30% off new arrivals. I quit work to go thru the IVF so I really don't need work clothes mainly church clothes and it would be nice to have something casual to wear when we go out. One of my friends called me today and said she went to a resale shop and got me 2 skirts and a dress they where from Motherhood. I thought that was sweet of her. She buys a lot of her kids clothes there (she has eight!) and they always look like a million bucks!
joannet & DNT: How are you two doing? Haven't heard from you in a while, I hope all is well.
shelleyj5: Welcome and congrats! You're so lucky with PIO. My RE only tested it with my BETA and it was good. However, his practice is to keep taking it through first trimester So, I have 2 1/2 more weeks of PIO...yuck!
twinmom: How are you doing? Did you have your u/s this Tuesday or is it next week?
JennLB25: How are you? I think it still may be too early. At my u/s at 6 1/2 weeks that baby was tiny! Let us know how you are doing, I'm thinking of you.
tburks: One little one...congrats! How's your OHSS, feeling any better? Good luck at u/s tomorrow! Keeping my fingers crossed for you to find another one floating around
I had my first visity with midwife today and it was cool! I get a DVD each time for my u/s and they'll do an u/s each visit! The h/b was up to 150 today...I'm still holding out for a boy! She's having me switch off the prenatal to 2 childrens chewable multi's for a little while. She said the normal prenatal has too much iron right now and that's probably what's making me sick. And she told me to take 2 B6 pills daily with a half of a unisom at night. We'll see if that helps!
Boy am I feeling yucky today. I woke up about 4am with terrible heartburn and a headache. I ran out of Malox so I drank some milk. Then I have been nauseuas (however you spell that word). I just do not feel good. I have been trying to get some bills paid and all I want to do is go lay down but I'm afraid if I lay down the heartburn will come back. I guess this is day one of the "side effects". Yippy!
Hi Ladies. Hope everyone is feeling well. I am starting to feel the quesiness from m/s. Not too bad yet though. I think I am 6 weeks today but can't be sure until my first u/s on Tues. I am nervous for that.
Mandee~ How are you feeling? My u/s is Tues. When is your next appt? That is good news that you might have some relief with feeling bad when you switch vitamins. And how cool that they give you a dvd every u/s.
Tburks~ It is always reassuring when you feel bad. At least you know something is going on in there......lol
Niki: I have my first u/s on the 11th. It seems like the longest wait ever! I wonder if I should make an appt with my regular OB...I never thought of that. I don't even know when I'll be released from my RE. I hope you get an u/s on Monday, that would be exciting
TBurks: Congrats on seeing your lil bean! Hope your OHSS resolves soon. And congrats on feeling some symptoms, although I'm sure it's not fun.
Mandeekins: It seems like most people do the PIOs for 12 weeks. That's why it makes me nervous to do every other day already. I'm only 5 weeks.
afm: I woke up with a cold yesterday & today I feel just aweful. My head feels so full...it makes the nausea & dizziness that much worse. I hate being sick & not being able to take medicine!

Hi Everyone,
I went yesterday & saw the HB & heard it again. We are up to 160 pm YEAH. No more PIO YES!!!! But I do go back on Monday to check my levels. I am still doing the suppositories(spelling) but who cares no more shots. So the Dr. said technically you are in your 3rd month I said wow that sounds so weird On 3/13 I go to my reg OB/GYN. I have gained 4 pounds so far so I'm also happy about that to.
Sorry, so busy I hope everyone is doing great & I will check in later tonight

DNT: That's great news!!! Are you starting to feel more confident about letting people know? This is farther than you got with your m/c right? So have you started telling people yet? Sounds like you're slowly letting your breath out...sounds more and more positive each time! Lucky you with no more PIO! RE offered to switch me to supps. but I didn't think I'd like that.
shelleyj5: Uggghhhh...I feel for you hun I hate being sick even when I can take meds, I can't imagine not taking meds. Hang in there! You could make an appt with your OB and cheat, but it's still pretty early. I wouldn't want to pile more worries on myself. Plus, my OB doesn't want to see a patient until they're at least 6 weeks.
twinmom: Lucky you...not! I'm feeling a little better. The switch in vitamins doesn't have me as quesy, but the maalox made me feel better. But, I guess I'll follow dr's orders and stick to the B6 with unisom
tburks: I'm so sorry you feel crappy...but so do most of us so at least we're in the same boat! I've been avoiding dairy for some reason, it just isn't appealing AT ALL to me at this point. I hope that changes, I need my calcium!
Have a great weekend everyone! Since last weekend I felt so horrible I get to do housework and laundry this weekend...yuck
So i talked to my RE's nurse today, so they could send a copy of my tests to my regular OB for my appt monday and the nurse was really nasty about it. Earlier this week the other nurse was really nice and said there was no problem with me seeing my dr. also as long as they received copies of everything and this nurse basically said I shouldn't because until after the 7 week u/s they won't know if its a viable pregnancy. Well like I don't already know that! Sorry but she made me really mad. I have had very good beta numbers and I am starting to feel a little queasy and have some other side effects and I feel really good about it, i don't need the nurse being a big jerk. Finally she was like ok I will send the stuff but she shouldn't do an exam it's too soon, I will be 6 weeks thursday and as far as I understand it's ok to have intercourse, so why wouldn't it be ok to have any exam. Sorry I hate to complain or get to personal, but have any of you experienced this? My OB was very set on seeing me and in my last pregnancy (ended in m/c) they saw me at 6 weeks, so this isn't very far off. This is the first time i have had a bad expirience wiht my RE's office and it really bothered me. Ok I'm done ranting now and back to being excited and happy again.
Can join you? I’ve been eavesdropping since Tburks tipped my off to your little group. The title of this thread feels so appropriate since I definitely feel nervous.
In a nutshell: I had an FET 1/30. According to online calculators, my due date should be 10/21/09. I am actually thrilled about the date because it’s the day after my birthday and the day we lost our last pregnancy in 2008. It feels like this is meant to be.
The nervousness is mostly due to past experience. We lost our previous pregnancies at 10w, 7w and 14 w. I want to be unconditionally happy, but I am so scared we won’t make it all the way. The loss at 14w was due to ancephaly, which is a rare (1 in 1000) nueral tube defect. Now that we’ve had it once, the chance for reoccurrence rises to 3-5%. We already had a little scare with the betas this time, so I’m really, really, really hoping it’ll be smooth sailing here on out.
On 2/24, we had 1st u/s and saw 1 sac, yoke, fetal pole, (2.8mm) and hb (100 bpm). Our next u/s will be tomorrow.
So far, we’ve only told a very, small select group (our parents, my siblings, my best friend and my boss). We’ll try to keep it from everyone else until we’re feeling super secure or I’m so big it can’t be hidden. It was very painful to have to share the loss last time with all the people who knew, so I really want to avoid that possibility this time. As much as people wanted to be supportive, I found most of them really didn’t know how and it was very awkward.
I’m still fitting into my pants so far, so I’m not ready for maternity wear yet. But, I saw some of your earlier references to it. I thought I’d mention that Target, JC Penny’s and Baby Gap all carry a small selection. I have a few pieces I picked up last fall. It’s pretty shocking the first time you put on those expanding belly pants.
I won’t always be so long winded. Just catching up!
Good luck to you all.
Niki
My OB doesn’t schedule until 8-10 weeks, but your records belong to you and you should have complete access to them whenever you want.

Hi everyone, happy Sunday. Well we've had the craziest week of our lives. I started bleeding on Friday and had a complete panic attack. My RE's office rushed me in for an ultrasound and blood work. Everything looks good with the twins but the RE could not explain the bleeding. He said that they see two or three women everyday with the same symtoms. So we are to wait for it to stop. We are scheduled for another u/s next Thursday. Can't wait to find out everthing is progressing along well.
siouxsie Hello and welcome aboard.
DNT0809 Great to hear that you are off the POI. Yippy!! Before my little scare that was all I wished for. Now, I don't really care, just as long as everything keeps going well.
Ok, well hope everyone;s having a great weekend and have a great week ahead of them. I am praying for an uneventful week.
Morning sickness has arrived my friends only it is still here!!
I just wish I could throw up bc I think I would feel soooo much better! I think I could handle this fine if it was just in the morning but all day! Boy ol'boy....... my baby better be really healthy is all I have to say. I read somewhere if you had morning sickness it was a good sign that the hormones were high and the baby was healthy.
My OHSS is getting a lot better. The bloating is going down and the pain is almost non exsitant now so I'm real happy about that. It kinda seems weird when your going thru all the stimming it seems like so much is going on and now nothing. But there is all kinds of stuff going on inside!!! YIPPY!!
My u/s is Friday so I'm looking forward to that.
Hope you girls are doing well and your sickness isn't to bad.
