question about progesterone inserts

Post by kristinpa »

hi girls! 2 days ago I was switched from progesterone shots to the vaginal inserts. Today I noticed a small amount of dark brown spotting. Could this be caused by the inserts? I thought I had read something about that before. I am just so nervous because my last miscarriage started with dark brown spotting. Everything has been going well...beta #3 yesterday had more than doubled and I have my first ultrasound in a week.

I heard that inserts can make you spot, that's what my RE said when I asked to switch. Good luck! Congrats on your BFP!

I have the same. My nurse suggested to try them rectally, like before the transfer. It does not matter one way or the other and if this is what you are worried about may be it's worth trying.
Good luck!
