No swimming for us... :( Our TV died last night (only 1 1/2 years old! ), so we are off to take it back, since it's still under warranty. I'm hoping we get a snazzy flat panel tv, but DH is cheappppp, so we'll see.

Suga--hmmmm....I've always had weird cycles, so I could never really guage my ovulation based on the mucous that everyone speaks of. My guess is, it's probably some mucous from you...and maybe some "leftovers" of DH? I know after DH and I do the deed, I always have some reminders the next day! Sorry, if TMI!

Hi gals...I have a question. Some nights one of them will wake up at 4 am. How long do I let him cry before I go to him...and do I feed them? I was trying to take a page from kholtan that I would not turn back once they slept through, but not sure what to do. Thanks for any advice.

And everyone please say a prayer for my family. My aunt is in the hospital in AL with no functioning kidneys or liver, she is only 55. I drove to AL Saturday to see her in ICU, she came to for about an hour. I told her she had to get better bc the boys want to meet her. And she told me I looked good for just having twins!!! She is a riot. They have taken her off all machines today, all but a morphine drip. She has been unresponsive since Saturday night. She is fighting now to breath and my uncle is trying to take her home. Just so so sad, she is too young. And the snow storm suga was talking about was awful. It took me 4.5 hours to get home yesterday, normally a 2 hour trip down.

Courtney, so sorry to hear about your aunt. So sad. I pray that her pain ends soon. I hope you and your family find peace at this time.

As for the boys waking up, I would try giving a paci, and see what happens. They might still need a little help comforting themselves to sleep. Good luck!

Courtney: So sorry about your aunt. She will for sure be in our prayers! I am sorry you had to drive through that snow as well!! I am glad you made it safely!! I agree with Kholtan, if yours will take pacis try that. Mine will not take them whatsoever so I have to let them cry.

I will say Brooke only cries for 3 minutes max now if she wakes up. The first night I did it with Mackenzie she cried for maybe almost a half hour??? I just made sure she was not stuck in the bars or upside down. Other wise I did not touch her. Use your judgment though. Mine were just addicted to the bottle at night...haha sounds funny.

Our day was ROUGH the girls would not nap, did not want to eat hardly because they were so tired and they were not horribly cranky but not the best. I am glad they are in bed now. I hope Brooke got a least enough to eat to sleep through....

Oh Courtney~ Your Aunt is in my prayers and your family in my thoughts. What a difficult place for your uncle to be. My family has been on this exact same road more than once and I know your pain. I'm not certain anything is more difficult than slowly saying goodbye. HUGS to you!!!!! Please know we are all thinking of you.

Kim~ TV?? How did it go? I'm kind of like your dh.. . .Cheap! I think my own dh would love a big fancy tv but I'm the type where it better be broken beyond repair to even give it any thought! :?

Suga~ About the TMI. . . Don't know at all. My cycles have never been normal either and not to get personal. . .ummm, a little late for that  . . . but I have a secret I SWEAR by! Let me just say, I have never had a yeast infection ever, I don't have any discharge issues and the privates are always dry and. . .let's leave out too many details! But I swear by NOT wearing underwear. I've been this way for 15 years or so and everyone who has had problems and I suggested trying it to LOVES it! Takes some getting use to but hey!

I think I should be done for the night for sure now! :D

Kholtan: You crack me up! Funny thing is, I was told when I was 17 to stop wearing undies!!! So since then, yeah I rarely have panties on down there...well of course if I have a dress or skirt on and then it is 100% cotton! But since then, no infections or anything else! This was just odd...honestly, looked like the ovulation stuff they told me about when we did clomid. Hopefully not because we did the deed and I do not want to miraculously get pregnant at the moment...wait, that would not be too bad! I would maybe only get one!! ahaha!

Courtney: Again I am so sorry!

Kim: TV? Yeah my DH got a plasma not too long ago and loves it. Our other TV was on the fritz. I just can not believe how much they can charge for the dang things. I mean seriously, it is a TV and you want me to pay $1000?!?!?

Kholtan: that would be a MIRACLE I mean I had to take drugs a 40 year old would take (the amount) AND I had to be on shots for 2 1/2 weeks just to get a response!!! So really, that would be a miracle!

Question about solids...think back....Mine eat solids2 times a day now, sometimes three when I am in the mood (it is just so dang messy with Brooke lol). Anyways, they ate breakfast this morning. One jar (2nd foods) of Country Breakfast (I read the ingredients and dunno if I will feed them this again but they liked it!) So they probably ate 1/2 a jar each. Mackenzie maybe a few bites more. But then they only drank 2 oz. Is this normal? Is that enough food? At dinner time they eat a whole jar of veggies 5 oz of milk and a little fruit...usually they drink more. Maybe they were tired. But how do you know if they are getting enough?? I know I know, they are gaining weight...but other than that?

Brooke is starting to say "ma" well that is what I tell myself she is saying!!

Suga--I think I usually gave them their milk first...then the solids. I just remember milk was the most important thing to get into their tummies. Might not work that way for you because of the reflux, though?

buckeye: Yeah I have to do solids first. If I do milk first, they are not hungry for solids because they eat 6 or 7 oz of milk and yell at me if I stop them half way...so I have to do solids then bottles.

Ok, so this just made my day today. First, they slept through the night without a whimper, second they are taking GREAT naps. 2 hours in length each time. THIRD I sat them in front of each other and they just sat and talked and laughed at each other and tried to hold hands!! Then Mackenzie tried to take Brookes hand and shove it in her mouth :? TOO CUTE! I can not wait till they can sit up on their own for more than 10 seconds so I can do that more often.

Suga~ What a good day you three are having! Aren't those days great? I think I'm a bad one to give food advice since my kids ate like a horse. They started off with just breakfast cereal and an entire jar of something between the two of them in the morning and they quickly moved up to that plus a jar each at lunch and dinner. By about 8 months we were powering thru ceral and 10 jars a day total and still getting b-fed 3-4 times a day. At 6 months they were b-fed about 5 times a day along with food but they would b-feed in between, before breakfast and after dinner. So, my kids are still huge eaters and love food. Doubt that helps really. Sorry.

you guys are too funny!!!

Suga, so cute about your twins holding hands and chatting abouts on the front porch. I can just picture it.

Well, the party was a big success and everyone had a great time. It was nice to catch up with friends and Sean had a blast. You should have seen his face when we all sang Happy Birthday and brought out the big chocolate cake. The twins were busy meeting and greeting people. I cooked ahead so it wasn't so bad, either. Posted some pics on my blog :D .

On another note, Alyson's TOT collar arrived and we put in on her today. It's just for 30 mins today and she did great. She fusses a bit at first but soon forgets about it. BTW, she started napping again in the afternoon. I don't know why she wasn't napping for a week but I am happy she does now. :D

Kimberly-- how are you feeling? I bet you are feeling the baby move a lot. This baby, due to my thinned skin, moves a lot and I feel it a lot. Sometimes, it hurts! I am going to be in 33 weeks in two days so definitely getting there, if you consider 37th full-term.

Buckeye -- did you end up buying a TV? Flat panel LCD TVs are coming down in price!

Courtney -- how are your boys doing at 4 am these days? With twins I kind of waited to do the CIO and they slept through the night at 3 mos. I looked at your blog through Kimberly's and your little boys are so cute. I am so sorry about your aunt. It is very sad.

Spring is definitely coming to the Northwest. The temp during the day is more than 50 these days and it's so nice :P . Put me in a good mood for sure.

Anyways, I am going to try to nap now!

Kholtan: HOLY CRAP that is a lot of food!!! And breast milk!? Your kids do not look heavy at all, they must have a great metabolism!!! Yeah, they are on one jar between the both of them of veggies and one jar between the both of them of fruit. That is only at dinner. Other meals they really want their milk so I do milk plus a jar of something between the both of them.

tolbee: Congrats on the party!! I forget, why is Alyson wearing the collar?? When I was young they had to put braces on my feet to turn one of them the correct way...I walked like a duck my mom says haha. I am normal today...well, physically I dunno about mentally!

Yes Courtney, how are they doing at 4AM now??

Hey moms! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for my aunt and family. I thought you guys might like to hear this...Saturday night the doctors told us she wouldnt make it through the night. Tuesday she was still alive, so the docs decided they would let her go home with hospice care. The paramedics were not out of the driveway, my uncle went to her bedside and said honey your home...she took two breaths and passed away. It is truly amazing, just kinda warms your heart.

Ok, so the 4 am feedings??? UGHHHHHH!!!! The problem is they sleep so hard from 7pm until 10, that they would barely wake up at 10 to eat. We are lucky to get 3-4 oz in them. And then screaming at 4 am. So, last night I decided to let them go from 7pm, they woke up at 2...I fed them and all was good until 7am. I know this isnt textbook, BUT they were so good today I might continue this until we hit 12 weeks. I think them being overtired caused us lots of problems with naps during the day. SO, we will see...I feel like I am constantly trying to hit a moving target!!!

tolbee~thanks for checking out my blog. I didnt know you had one, I will go search kimberly's to find yours! I love putting faces with all the support here!

twinmommy~Paxton gets aggravated with tummy time bc he tries to do more than he is old enough to do! kellen just lays there, and then usually throws up!!! But they are both doing a really good job of holding their heads up, I am ready for those little buggers to sit on their own!! ANd from your and kholtan's messages earlier...IF you are pregnant god bless your little heart!!!! I might jump off a tall bridge if I got pregnant this soon. But DH did make the comment a couple of weeks ago that he would like a little girl...and so would I!!!!
