Kelly: My OB/Gyn gave me a one month supply of Femara, so I'm going to try it for one month. I was going to wait until after the FSH test results but decided that it cannot hurt to try it for 1 month. I think I will ask for an ultrasound to check on the follicles and a trigger shot too if I have multiple follicles. I'm not sure if Femara will make multiple follicles but we will see.
Can the ultrasound tech count your antral follicles? I have no idea how many I have now. It must have been at least 12 during my last IVF, since I had 12 eggs retrieved that time.

I'm off to bed soon, DS is asleep.

Take care all,
Tammy

A BIG FAT CONGRATS to you Sue!!!!!! That is a nice strong beta. YIPEE!!!

Santa, you are next!!

Tammy, when you have your day 3 labs done is when you should get your AFC done. Femara should cause you to have more than 1 follie. Some ladies get 2 others get 3-4. It works like Clomid. But do try to get the trigger shot. You trigger when you get the positive OPK. Which could be a little tricky in your case. Sorry, i forgot you were already down the road a bit with the adoption.

Suzanne, i am glad they are not sucking the life out of you. When i was pregnant with Liam i was exhausted for the first 3 months. So twins could really do a number on you i would think. Sounds like you are getting off easy so far. I hope the trend continues.

I also hope the BFP trend continues for us all.

Sue...I am thrilled for you! I'm sure that phone call must have been amazing and exhilirating and....well, it's hard to put into words isn't it!!! Wonderful!!!!!!!

Suzzane...I'm just noticing your Beta's...was there a reason they did 4 tests? I noticed it didn't double on the 2nd test is that why they did more? Mine were 658 and then 1695 so because it doubled they said I didn't need to do any more beta testing and that my ultrasound is in two weeks! I'm a bit nervous my numbers are even higher than yours and it could be twins! My numbers were actually higher with my daughter and she was a singleton.

Did you have an early or late first US with your daughter? If you were initially pregnant with twins but one didn't stick then your betas would have been high in the beginning. And if you didn't have an early scan you wouldn't have Known about the twin. By the time you had a late US the twin would have already been absorbed by the body. Does that make sense? But some people, like Renee an you maybe, just get high betas with a singleton.

I know you were not asking me but i just can't keep my mouth shut.

 missy... mine did double... I posted 838 by accident and didn't realize until you wrote... transposed the digits a bit - it was 383 (more than doubled, actually, that's why everyone was guessing it might be multiples)... but Liam'sMommy is correct, sometimes it's twins initially, and then the body self-reduces... and, then again, sometimes it's a singleton... my RE has a fixed schedule of blood tests and ultrasounds regardless of how well everything is going... part of the protocol, I guess... you sound a bit anxious about the prospect of twins, and I'm right there with you... I'd enjoy the company along the way, but I hope that you have a healthy pregnancy, singleton or multiples :D

sorry about the confusion!

Kelly: I got the positive OPK yesterday afternoon and it was still ++ this AM. I bought the OPK's in volume off of a website. I'm also crampy this AM. They were only $0.60 each. I also bought some HPT's from this same website.

Tammy, did i tell you about all the natural BFPs i have seen on my charting site lately? The ladies are 44, 45, 46, and 46. The were all within a couple of weeks time. So, it can be done. You just can't miss a month of trying because that may be the only good egg you pop out in a year. KWIM? Keep up the good work!!!! By the way, where did you order your sticks from?

Kat, i know i seem like one. You all probably wish i would just shut up. I really don't think i know everything. I am just good at googling.

Hello, everybody else.

Renee, I am so sorry to hear your news, I was really rooting for you. You seem very strong but I was glad to see your lovely photo with your adorable boy.

SueQ - fantastic news ! Oh, I can imagine how exciting that must have been to get that phone call !!

I POAS again today (7 days post 3 day transfer, so 10 days post ov) and negative... I am hoping it is still too early for an accurate result.

Kat, are we the only ones here on 2ww right now? It is tough isn't it !

Kelly: Thanks for the encouraging words. I got my sticks as well as pregnancy sticks online: www.earlypregnancytests.com/ That is why I was interested in trying the Femara. If I could get 2-3 eggs in one month that could really increase my odds of finding the "one good egg". I just don't think that I feel up to doing another IVF.

Hi Ladies:

Kell---we LOVE you.....i wonder how many other boards are fortunate enough to have an RN on their team???!?!?!? I for one am very grateful for you!

LynnieC--- I am thinking of you as you wait for your amnio results..longest 10 days of your life! I had one with my 2nd baby. I took that alpha feto-protein test it came back positive for DOWNS (like my chances were 1 in 40), the number was so low that they were sure my baby had a chromosome deficiency. Even thou the u/s showed a perfect little baby (heart issues seem to be prevalent in Downs children and with my number being what it was they were certain that would have shown a defect) so we did the aminio thing…it really didn’t hurt –just a little unnerving. But after the 10 day wait (we had to Gold-Streak (air) out of AK since they did not have a local lab…. Everything came out FINE! I hope the same happens for you…..

NJS---New Jersey takes care of its state employees, I might just quit my job and go there…. If your insurance covers this IVF stuff, I say go for it, it is a rollercoaster ride, but most women cant even get on the ride due to is cost. Good luck Girl!

KrisN---42…I feel ya sistah! Time did fly huh> Welcome to this board…there are good people here!

Suz18---TWINS!!! OMG, I’m so jealous! At 800 pm your time and what ever time my time, touch your screen with your left hand (closest to your heart) and I will touch mine for 30 seconds (incase your clock is fast)….maybe I can get some cyber vibes…….

TeacherTam…details details and more details.

Sisi1—good luck on the stims….try no to kill anyone for acing you out of a parking spot—I know a couple have some near death experiences me..and SuziQ almost killed this dude for hitting her car!

TeacherT and Sisi---don’t slack on the details or Liam’s Mommy will hunt you down! She keeps all of us in line…thank God!

Santa---my 2ww BUDDY! Have you ever been to North Pole, Alaska? It is a pretty small little town, the streets have names like Rudolf, and Santa Clause Lane..etc…the streets are lined with candy cane light poles it looks pretty neat in the winter, kind of strange in the summer tho.

Biddy—welcome awesome group of L8dies here!

Aloha Renee and Rocco
