Hey girls!

Just bumping us up! Hope everyone is doing good. Anna is being a pill. I can't decide if she is trying to drop a nap or just sleeping strange hours! Does anyone know when they typically go down to one nap? I guess I will ask the Google gods. That is where I get all of my mothering info. SCARY!!

HELLOOOO???? Anybody out there??

Hope everyone is well. I am having a busy chore day at home while Anna sleeps. This morning we went to tour a Mothers Day Out facility and I signed her up for the fall. AHHHH!! I am sooo nervous about it, but I have 6 more months to prepare. Her brother will arrive this summer and I think it will be good her to get out a couple hours a week and interact with kids her age. It will give me and the new baby time together too. I met her teachers and they were super nice.

That is all that is going on around here. Anyone else got anything exciting going on?
Jenn

Hi Jenn! Wow..I guess everyone has been busy around here!
The hospital I work for is closing and they are re-building a new one. The new one opens in a month so we have a ton of crap to do in addition to working our regular hours. It's been busy but I have to say it's been keeping my crazy mind off obsessing about everything in this pregnacy!
Speaking of.... Ms Jenn...I can't believe how close you're getting! It seems like it has gone by so fast. I feel like mine has gone by pretty fast too.
I think Anna will like hanging out with other kids in the moms day out program. And, like you said, that will be nice to give you and the baby some alone time.
Not much new going on here. I am getting surprisingly big already. I should post a picture. I am already getting the "wow are you sure you're only 14 weeks!" I really didn't think I'd be showing this much already but I definitely am.
I haven't felt them move yet. Everyone asks me and I say "no, not that I know of." I have lots of stretching and pulling feelings, but nothing that people describe as "movement". I'm sure it's coming.

How is everyone else?
Sassy~ It was so nice to hear from you. I read your blog all the time and love seeing the babies growing up!

It's just kind of a blah time of year, isn't it? I'm so ready for winter to be over...We're doing good besides the case of the Winter Blues that I have! Lucy is great. She makes us laugh every day. She loves to yell "Hi, Dada. Hi, Mama." at the top of her lungs for no apparant reason. She has a Curious George stuffed animal that she named "Noodle" so she often runs through the house yelling for him, too! (She is so my child, naming things after food!!!!!)

Nicster and Jenn, so glad that your pregnancies are trotting along at such a quick pace. It's such an exciting time, huh? I miss being pregnant. I really loved it (except for the 75 lb weight gain---don't do that if you can possibly avoid it!) Nicster, I'm jealous that you're showing. I never really "showed", just looked fat! Oh well.

I'm going to post a couple of photos on the bucket for you non facebookers (you really need to get on facebook everyone!!!!!!)

Hi guys - good to read you all. We are pretty busy round here too. Jenn - I am also settling Amelie into creche - just a few hours a week to start with before I return to work in May. I haven't left her there yet - just played with her and gave her lunch there. It is pretty nice and the staff are great - in her nursery room there is a max of 8 babies and 2 staff so it is a good ratio.

Next week she is going to try a sleep there - that will be fun..........ha ha. Am also starting to wean her - going to start a bottle a day from today - I hope she remembers how to take it! She's getting 2 tiny bottom teeth which might explain why it has taken 2 hours to get her to go to sleep the last 2 days - hopefully not tonight as we have friends over for dinner.

Speaking of which I better get a move on - have lots to do. Glad you are doing well Jenn and Nickster - the time is flying by. Hi Meg, Tina, Fee, Sassy, Robbo.

Hi everyone!!

Nickster....wow, time is flying by!!, you are past the first trimester already, that is great!!. Don't worry about not feeling, the first time I realized I was feeling Benjamin I was 19wks, so you have plenty of time!! . Good thing that the relocating keeps your mind busy, that is sooo important, but you'll see that the closer you get to the third trimester the less you worry, at least that happened to me, I was able to relax much more towards the end....oh well

Benja is getting so big, I can't believe he is almost 9 months already!!!. I started swimming classes for him, the mommy and me kind of classes, they are great, it is basically to teach him not to be afraid of the water and what to do in case he falls in a pool or something like that, basically teach him to close his mouth when he goes under the water and to approach the outside of the pool, it is very cool!!!. We are also going to some mommy and me lessons that are great, because he gets to socialize a little bit with other babies and I get to meet other moms with the same concerns, so it works really well. I start my residency in July, and every time I think about that moment I have mixed feelings, in a way I am happy to be starting my career again, on the other hand, leaving Benja after being used to being with him all day long is going to be very very hard :( .

I will post a picture of him in photobucket.....

Hope you are all doing great!!!!

Vicky~ First of all...I can't believe how big Benjamin is...that's crazy!! It doesn't seem like he should be that old. He is a doll!
Meg~ Lucy, as usual, is adorable! Is she going to be in the wedding too?

Ok...for all you facebookers....I'm on but VERY new at it, how do I find you????

Ok I'm back!

I am kind of starting to panic! I will be 27 weeks tomorrow and the baby will actually get here in the 39th week so that means I really have 12 more weeks. I have his bedding and a few outfits. THAT IS IT!!! We still have to move the furniture in the guest room out, which means I have to get a storage facility and get it moved. I have to buy the paint and then we have to paint the room. I need to pick out nursery furniture, buy it, and have it delivered. I need clothes, diapers, blankets, a changing table pad, pacifiers, a bouncer that is not pink petals... Oh! I have to stop it's making me crazy! Anybody want to go on a shopping spree?? PLEASE!! Gosh for the second child you realize you aren't getting a big shower to get all your stuff. I wouldn't be so low on supplies if this were a girl, but since it is a boy I am in trouble. I know my friends here will do a little something for me but it won't be the scale of Anna's parties!

I guess I need to get on the ball!
Jenn

happy shopping Jenn - it's what the sistas do best! These littlies sure require a lot of stuff that is for sure - we are exploding out of our house and it must be all amelie's things coz i haven't been shopping for months. Bring on our house extension please - hopefully this year if DH gets a move on and gets some quotes from the builders

better go little Ams is shouting - da da da is her current favourite - which works well in the morning as I tell DH she is calling for him. But I don't think she necessarily is as I heard even Chinese babies say this early on! But it's a good way to get DH to get the first thing in the morning poo nappy! ha ha !

Jenn- I am on spring break this week, so I can be in Houston in about 6 hours and we can head out shopping. I think it would be a blast to be out shopping for a little boy. However, pink still seems to be in for the boys, so if he has to wear a few pink things so be it. HEHEHEHEHE
When my sister had her first boy, the hospital sent her home ith 2 pink pacifiers. her husband did not find that very amusing.
I am sure you will get things all in order quickly.

Nickster- How are you feeling. I am still so happy that things worked out for you. And double trouble on top of that. When do you find out the sexes?

Fee so good to read you. I understand your not wanting to do the whole thing over again. However, you just have to think will you regret it in ten years if you don't give it another shot/

Angie- How did Amelie do at the "daycare"? Did she sleep, eat, and have fun? I remember when I put Shelby in, I thought I would die. Shely of course was much younger (16 weeks), but wouldn't do anything but cry. Things have gotten much better.
Also, hope the teeth aren't bothering her too much. Are you finally getting sleep?

Well, I think we have decided not to continue with treatment. God blessed us with the most incredible daughter, and I am tired of "throwing" money down the drain just to get a bfn. so, we are definately taking this summer off. We will see what we decide for next summer. I am completely at peace with this though:)

Gotta run. We have to run to the library, and then are off to playdate. LOVE those:)

Robbo-I can tell just from your post that you are feeling good about your decision. It's got to be like a huge weight off of your shoulders. Hope the library and playdate were fun.

Angie--hear you about the crowded house. Where does it all come from? We've decided we're going to try to upgrade houses this summer. Hopefully we can sell this one! It's in pretty good shape so we'll see....I'm excited to move. I think I just need a change, you know?

We just got back from swimming lessons and then an hour playing in the gym. Lucy is tired! I think I'll get a good nap out of her today! Her two cousins are in town from Florida so we'll go play with them this afternoon. They're both boys and are a little rough with Lucy. She's not quite sure what to make of them!

Hope everyone has a Happy St. Patty's tomorrow!

Hi girls. Once again, it's been a while...still busy getting ready for the new hospital.

Meg~ Lucy is going to be an expert swimmer when she grows up! She's had lessons for so long and since she was so young. She must love it!

Robbo~ It does sound like you're at peace with your decision. It definitely has to be something you and dh decide together and are at peace with. And hey, you just never know what could happen down the road....you just might get a surprise!
Hey I've seen your on the "bachelor" thread. What did you think of that crazy ending??

Jenn~ Don't freak out, there's still time. It will all be just fine.
How have you been feeling??

Angie~ How are you and Ams?

Tina, Fee, Vicky~ How are ya?

We had a doctors appt today and found out we are having a boy and a girl! We, of course, didn't care what the sexes were but are thrilled to find out it's one of each!! Time for some shopping!!
I posted ultrasound pics of both babies and a belly pic from last week on photobucket.

Have a good weekend. Talk to everyone soon.
