 Kelly... I think you do wonderful deeds for the women on this board... it's great that you reach out and give honest, accurate answers and support... kudos and thanks... don't shut up.

 Kat... I will probably forget to do as you asked, but I can promise you that I'll say a prayer ESPECIALLY for you tonight... you can't imagine how diligent I was during my 2ww and continue to be during these early months, and I truly believe that there's power in prayer... can't hurt, and if I'm right in 2 weeks, I'm going to brag on your behalf.

 Santa... here's a little insight re: my POAS experience last month... I'll put it in terms of your post... do NOT be discouraged because the levels do take a bit of time to reach a readable (sp?) amount... first check the levels your HPT can detect... the instructions should indicate such... digital HPT's need HIGHER levels to detect HCG... I got a POSITIVE from a regular strip test (detects > 25mg) and a NEGATIVE from a digital test (detects > 50mg) in the same "sitting"... and finally, your negatives clearly indicate that the trigger is out of your system... so a positive is POSITIVE for pregnancy... I wish you one big one.

here's my HPT history - you can sense that levels are climbing based on type of test and the negative/positive results... remember I'm pregnant with twins, so perhaps my levels were detectable a day or so earlier than a singleton... personally, I think there's lots of time for your positive.

(-) HPT 02/02/09 (strip) M 5dp3ET

(-) HPT 02/03/09 (strip) T 6dp3ET

(+) HPT 02/04/09 (strip) W 7dp3ET

(-) HPT 02/05/09 (digital) Th 8dp3ET
(+) HPT 02/05/09 (strip) Th 8dp3ET

(+) HPT 02/06/09 (digital) F 9dp3ET
(+) HPT 02/06/09 (strip) F 9dp3ET

Renee: I just had to say how sorry I am for your loss  Miscarriage sucks. I have a friend who also has infertility issues but has never had a m/c and I have to say, after having experienced both, I'd rather not get pregnant. Such an emotional rollercoaster. You'll be in my prayers. Oh and your picture was great--such a beautiful momma & son!

Suzanne: Your posting gave me goosebumps--I remember the phone call 8 years ago saying I was pregnant for my DD after 1st IVF. I sobbed uncontrollably! After so many years of NEVER getting pregnant (9yrs), it was beyond belief. Keep that amazing feeling and I'll say some prayers for you too!

I'm still waiting to "peak"....IVF is such a waiting game!!

Have a good day, all. Kris

Hiya Ladies~
Thank you all for the well wishes and kind words. I am still in shock and oh so happy! It has taken me 4 years of trying and 3 IVFs to get knocked up and I am thrilled. I still kinda feel like the nurse called the wrong Sue--but I know it's not true and that I am really pregnant. Now I just hope to stay that way! I am a bit of a wreck worried about miscarriage. I try to squeeze those negative thoughts out--but they do linger in the background--especially knowing about what some of you have endured along the way.

I have been having some cramping--it makes me nervous cause it feels like AF cramps. Do you all know if this is normal during pregnancy? I also have extreme exhaustion. But that is about it on the symptoms. I go back on Friday for a second beta.

Santa and Kat~I am thinking of you in the 2ww. It is true torture! I think the technique that helped me most was staying off Google and distracting myself with something completely unrelated. I rented Sex in the City on DVD and watched episodes back to back for hours!

Renee~I just know you will get pregnant again. Your body is in great shape and you got knocked up so fast in December! I think an IUI is a great choice. I hope it happens soon.

Hi Ladies..I'm still waiting for AF to come, I've been spotting for about 4 days now!! I never spot before AF! My 28th cycle day is Friday!! What should I do if I don't get a full flow this month? It would be the first time EVER for me!! I was so looking forward to this cause I know they can't really do anything till they get that 3rd cycle day us/bloodwork right? I'm in a panic, the nurse said don't call till full flow. I know this sounds so dumb for most of you cause all of you are so much further along than I am. I must sound like such a newbie!!!

Santa and Kat: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both of you! You must be going crazy!!

Sue:A BIG congrats to you sweetie!!

To everyone else..."Don't stop believing"!!

Hello everyone!

Back from Florida and just about ready to greet AF (or not :D ), any day now....

Has anyone seen my PMA? I appear to have misplaced it somewhere...
All I can find is anxiety because this is my only chance (you are gonna get sick of hearing this) and last time my cycle got cancelled.

I am finding it much harder to mentally prepare myself to accept what may come this time around. I will be on the phone to the accupunturist as soon as AF rears it's ugly head, should be no later then Friday for SURE!

How is everyone else doing?

HI everyone -

I am Jeannie and I'm 42 years old. I live in a small town where they frown upon the idea of a woman having such a late pregnancy. Truth is, most of the females in this town are pregnant (multiple times) before they are 25 years old.

I know I would get a lot more understanding if I stayed where I grew up, suburbs outside of NYC.

Hoping to find some friends, information and companionship on this journey.

Wishing everyone the best!

Hi Kelly, I have NOT peaked (day 17)--I'm usually right on day 14 or 15, oh well. This will actually be IVF #3 for this baby (1st in Sept and 2nd in Nov).
Thanks for being so organized with all our "stuff". You're great!

Welcome Jeannie! I'll be 42 in July and our church is having a baby boom right now with virtually all the expectant moms in their 20's--ugh. I totally understand how you feel, though no one looks down on me or thinks me weird to try for baby #2 at 41, thankfully. This forum group is fantastic--you are definitely in good company.

Jeannie: Welcome to our site. I had my first child at age 42, so I know what you mean. I live in the midwest (Indiana). I have had several comments by women thinking that I am Andrew's grandmother. Now, I am 44 but I don't think I look like a grandma! But if you think about it, I am old enough to be a grandma. If I got preggo at 20, I could have a 24 year old child.
Lets face it, we are much more equipped to raise a baby than a 20year old. We are much more mature, responsible, and financially able to raise a child.
Don't let ignorance affect your desire to have a child. Do you have any other children?

Kat: I think it is too early to POAS.

Take care all,
Tammy
