lilmdHummm.....That one is tricky!! I think it takes 10 days for the hcg to get out of your system. Keep on takin them tests. Your POPU :D I took my hpt on the 10th day and it took a while for it to come up +.You could have more than one in there to and hormones are really high! Geesh..... isn't this nerve racking??!!

Yes it is. I even tried to do the calculation to see.. I have read that the HCG drops in half every 36 hours but it gets really complicated with the addition of the HCG 3 more times. At the clinic they say wait 10 days.... so last night was actually the 10th day. The test I took was one that measures 50 units so it would be pretty high already but they did put 2 back... HMMMMM.

I looked at the wrong calendar... it would only be 8 days.. from the last HCG shot of 2500 and 16 days from the 10,000 one...CRAP.. I think it might still be the HCG..

Well we went and had our ultrasound today, and I was so super nervous. Of course everything turned out more then fine, and the tech told us she saw two Sacs, with fetal poles and heartbeats. That's right we are having TWINS! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Baby A heartbeat was 119 and Baby B heartbeat was 113. She said both heartbeats are steady and great. They are both growing right on schedule Baby B is a tiny bit bigger the Baby A and they are both measuring 6 weeks and 4 days. Of course I am still in shock but we are both so excited. My next appointment is in 3 weeks, and then I can go to my regular OB. I asked why I don't have many symptoms an they said it is still to early and I will soon.

Congratulations Molly! You might be one of those lucky ladies that don't get any symptoms. Your family is virtually going to double. Luckily you have 30+ weeks to prepare.

I'm afraid my journey will soon be coming to an end. My 2nd ultrasound (I'm 7 weeks) again only showed a gestational sac but no fetal pole, no heart beat, not even a yolk sac. I'm of course devastated and sad and frustrated and slighted and angry and ... well you guys know. I felt that I was sooooo close to having my dream. My other cycles ended a lot sooner than this. My doctor himself scanned me today and I could tell by his body language but he also doesn't want to cut things off prematurely. So he wants one more beta check today and a formal ultrasound at an imaging center. He tried to get that appointment for me today so that I could get closure but they were too busy. At least I have a day to have a good cry.

Good luck to everyone else. I know this might make some of you nervous for your ultrasounds but what happened to me isn't the norm. This room has a lot of great baby vibes.( Two sets of twins, two singletons and counting)

Congratulation Molly! Double fun coming your way!!!!

Ionlywant1, I wish you had better news....hang in there sweetie!

Well the wait is finally over for me. We had the ultrasound and we saw the sac, fetal pole and heartbeat!!! :D I measured 7w3d so we are right on track.

I really feel for all the ladies that have the wait still to come and for the ones who did not get the news they wanted. It is so hard to find the right words to comfort you. I just pray that this is only a pit stop on your journey to one day having the baby you dream of. It will happen, just stay positive and be patient.

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry I have not been on in awhile. It sounds like things are still going well for many of you. For those of you with sad news I am very sorry. Hang in there!

We had our second ultrasound today. Good and some potentially bad news. The good news is that we saw the heartbeat. It was so amazing to see. They seem to think that the sac is toward the right side of my uterus not in the middle like it should be. I do have a slight dip at the the top of my uterus so this could be why and if so it is nothing to worry about. There is also a chance it is a cornual pregnancy which means it is outside of the uterine wall. I guess it is a form of ectopic. The doctor is 90% sure it is just because of the dip but she wants us to come back in another week to make sure and measure how far it is from the wall to make sure it is in the uterus.

I am hoping this is just another bump we have hit and we will get over it. We did get past the cyst early in my cycle and then my doctor thought about canceling because I only had 5 follicles but we went on and I got pregnant so I hope this will all turn out fine like everything else.

Wow! What great news--congratulations Molly and Labstoo.

Sorry, Ionlywant1 and Ert--maybe things are not as bad as it seems. Just hope the next visit will be good news that we all deserve. I know it's hard, but try to stay positive!

I am officially addicted to taking the POAS! I have never been like this any other cycle. I am totally freaked about getting the positive and worrying if it is still from the HCG injection so I took another one last night... technically I am still a day early but it is still positive and appeared a little darker than the day before... at least to me it did... I must have checked it 10 times between last night and this morning. I am surprised I am not carrying it around with me. So today is the 10th day from my last HCG mini injection so I should get a real result today. The sad things is that I most likely will still not believe it until my REAL test on Friday and then will come the next set of worries.

I am so sorry about your news. Is there any reason why you keep mc?? I think I would ask for some testing or something. This is such a tough journey. It takes a lot of time, effort and months of a bruised butt!! I know this has tobe so hard for you being your 3rd try. I would check with the RE about testing. I'm sure you need some answers.

We are going to pray that you have nothing to worry about!

Congrats!! I know what a relief it is to see a healthy baby!

AFM - I'm just hanging out waiting till my next u/s on Fri. I have figured out a way to conquer the nausea. Eat, eat, eat. If I eat every hour I am usually fine. Go to long between eating and I'm sick. So I guess if I want to get anything done I have to eat. :D

Sorry that I have MIA, we were moving and I finally got my computer back.

Souxsie, Labstoo that is great that your coming along wonderfully

Molly23 congrats on the twins.

ERT and Ionlywant1, I will also keep you in my prayers that everything works out and you have the news you both deserve and have been wanting for such a long time.

As for me I am taking it easy, I am still having alot of cramps and well my next u/s is not till monday the 9th. I still have the all day morning sickness and alot of headaches but everything seems to be going good. Last Friday 2/27 the RE did another BETA and it was over 5000 so I guess it is good. RE also did the math and calculated that I would be 7 wks on the 9th.

lilmd, I was addicted to the POAS as well.

I started bleeding this evening.
Don't know what's going on . I called RE they want me in in the morning. Said they weren't to worried about it. Might be that even tho they only saw one sac there may have been 2 and i might be losing one. I am soooo scared. I'm not bleeding much but I just want it to stop. So far I'm not cramping.

I teach 3rd and 4th graders on Weds night at church and I stayed home and sent DH to teach them. I know it will be hard for him bc all he will be thinking of is me and the baby. It was really hard for him to leave me.

I am just praying that all is ok. At this point I don't know what else to do.
