Thanks for the comments, I thought it would be lovely for you to see the photo's of him. I do seem to be on the mend now, I did have to go to the doctors though yesterday because my scar isn't healing, its wheeping and also as a smell to it. I am being put on a course of antibotics. Alex also has some spots on his face so the doctor has prescribed some cream for them.

Hi Shell

Its been so long since I have posted and there is so much that has happended.

Congratulations on Baby Alex, his photo on FF is absolutely gorgeous, you must be so proud of him.

It certainly sounds like you had a rough time, but like we all say it is truly worth it when we have out babies in our arms.

Take good care of yourself, Ian and baby Alex

Hi Shell,

Long time no speak!!! LOL

Finally found the photos of Alex on Fertility Friends - he's lovely, and so big compared to Sam (to give you an idea, imagine the moses basket, and Sam goes from handles to base!!!) Did you get my email?
Hope all is well.

Hi Zoe,

Lovely to hear from you, sorry its been so long, and sorry I have not replied to your email but yeah I did get it, but never really get much chance to come online these days Alex keeps me well busy. The photo of Sam is lovely, he is such a lovely baby, I bet each day that goes by you can't believe he is here and what a miracle he is, because thats what I am like.

How you finding Motherhood? are you enjoying it? Does he wake up much during the night for feeds?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Oh and by the way, Alex won't be in his moses basket much longer, what length was Sam when he was born? Alex was 59.5CM.

Love
Shell & Alex (5wks 3d old)

Don't worry about not replying Shell, just wanted to know if you had got it...

They don't measure length up here when they are born so I haven't a clue, but about a week ago he was around 45cm I think. ((my sister asked too so I did a rough measure). Your right about the miracle bit, I just keep looking at him and poking Steve saying 'we have a baby!!!' - it's definately not wearing off any...

He's quite regular for feeds - about 4 hours day and night, so we're up about 12.30, 4.30 during night - the 12.30 kills me so last night steve gave him breast milk from a bottle. Sam's also got a touch of colic, but thankfully it seems to hit him about his 8.30 feed, so I feed him, them he'll usually settle on steve's chest til the next feed and I'll go for a kip - haven't got into the habit of sleeping during the day, so by 8.30 I want to crawl away somewhere...! wouldn't change it for the world though.Once his tummy gets a bit bigger he may go longer, but he's still only 5lb 90z now, so I reckon it'll be a while. He's go his hearing test again on Tuesday - he's had 3, and so far only passed in one ear and failed in the other, so it's a bit nerve racking desperately wanting him to pass...

How's Alex doing during the night? How is Lee coping with fatherhood? Speak soon...
