Hi all!

I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the work-load tunnel!

I have been reading but I won't be able to catch-up with personals for everyone just yet.

Welcome cymplicity, milpagan and lionoe.

Melanie, Wow! 18 eggs! That's great!!! I hope you rest easy now and keep us posted as you get your progress reports. Thank you for all of your informative posts. I feel like I know better what to expect with my stims now. As I start to feel new things I am a little more relaxed because I was expecting them to happen. Thanks!

Lee I'm glad you're feeeling better. You need to gear up for your turn now!

Carolyn and Michele Thank you for keeping the posts going so well. You guys are really helpful to the rest of us with your answers and reponses. You rock!

Everyone else - I hope you're doing well and taking good care of yourselves!

I am on injection day 6 now. Boy - I have been so busy with work that the time has just flown by! I went for BT #1 on Monday morning and the nurse left a message saying my E2 (is that right?) levels looked good so keep the injections the same. I repeat the BT tomorrow morning and then wait for more instructions. I guess it's possible that I could have ER anytime from next monday (9th) up to next Thursday (12th). I am anxiously awaiting the BT/US day, though because that will give us a better idea I guess. I hope it all happens as fast as this past week seems to have flown by!
About the injections - I always said I'm not afraid of needles, just injections and that seems to be holding true. I can put the needle in no problem, but then I have to tell myself to breathe and relax as I push the injection in. I hate that part. Not at all looking forward to the trigger shot! I will have progesterone suppositories called Prometrium. I am afraid that they will be yucky and messy, but I did agree to do what ever it takes to have a baby, so - oh well!

Take care everyone!

Kimbob- Wow, you are almost there, I can't wait to hear u/s results and see how many follies you have in there. I hear ya about the injection part, it is weird to know you are putting something foreign into your body, but your right...anything for a baby. For my first IVF I dreaded the trigger too, but it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My husband had done it and I didn't even know it, just a sting/burn afterwards.

lionoe- There are a bunch of first time ivf'ers here and you are welcome to join us in the festivities if you like. You still have some stimming to do, so more follies I am sure will pop up. Advice- Just try to stay positive and calm, I know, it sounds impossible...but just take a deep breathe and it will all be over before you know it.

Wishing4baby- So glad to see you are still around...I am sending lots of PMA your way. So exciting that you are almost stimming, this board is really getting going.

Melanie- 18 eggs is awesome, I can't wait to hear the fert report. When will you hear, today I am guessing? Let us know whenever you feel up to it.

Sara- so glad to hear you are feeling better, we all want to be 100% for ivf. I can't believe it is less than 2 weeks for you.

Milpagan- I just wanted to give one suggestion about capital one. I don;t know how you guys applied, but when we did it, I applied first by myself and even though I have good credit, they gave me a pretty bad interest rate, maybe because I have a lot of student loans. So I asked them if my husband could apply and maybe get a better rate. They said yes, so I handed the phone over to him and they gave him an awesome rate. So if you guys tried together, maybe try seperately and for a smaller amount? Anything will help right? I hope you get it all sorted out.

afm, I went for my history and physical yesterday, all the pre-surgery stuff. I am all set for next thursday at 8:30 am. I am a little worried because my blood pressure was still really high, but they said we will continue b/c we got clearance from the stress test and echocardiogram. I am now trying to do everything in my power to get my blood pressure down, because I know it can cause a lot of problems with pregnancy. I am too young to be having this high of blood pressure. I ordered a monitor and am tracking it at home, and I am now watching my sodium intake very carefully, trying to stay under 1500mg a day. Which is super hard by the way, I can't believe everything has sodium in it. DH also went and picked up an elliptical machine from my mom's house last night so I can do some low impact cardio workouts. I am also taking fish oil supplements now. I hope all of this works, I will take any suggestions anyone has, I really want to fix this without medication. It is so weird, for the first time in my life, I really care about being healthy, and I know it is because of Ella. It took a precious little girl to make me eat the crappy food I am eating now, b/c my health has never been so important, and not to me, but to her. Crazy what kids can do.

How are you feeling today??

Wishing this is for you

Image

Only one more day to go and you are on your way too!!!

Hi Nicole, just remember you are very early on still and lots of growing time to go yet, you only need 1 egg to make your miracle, and in this journey it is definately the quality of the eggs that count, my sis got 17 eggs for me and 6 were fertilised, some others are lucky enough to have lots more fertilise so don't you worry about a thing, stay positive and feel its going to work for you it definately makes a difference how you feel mentally towards the whole journey I feel. You have come to a good place with all these guys on here, I have never felt as supported with my girlfriends as I do with the women that are on this board.

Thanks Kim, feeling much better again today, I had an injection pen when I did mine, it was so much easier, just prime it with the needle and press the button and it did it all for me, Not sure how I would have handled doing it myself!!

Hi Milly BW means bloodwork and US is ultrasound.

Well went for my scan and illness has made no difference yahaaaayyyyy so lining is measuring 10.8 which is perfecto!!!! Date set for et is 11th March, have to call the clinc at 11.00 to check my embies survived the thaw, please god be kind to me for just one day...............
Then if they are ok, I go in at 2.15 for them to be transfered so thay can grow into my baby or babies you never know, are you all digging my PMA I have at the moment!!!! I would like you all to do me a favour when I am stressing out next tuesday and not having so much PMA tell me not to be so silly and pull myself together ok?!?

All right seen as I feel artistic today I will leave you all with a little picture from me to you,

CT_Michele: Try yoga for beginners. I bought a tape and it has about 5 different workouts and one of them is to relieve stress. Each workout is about 2 minutes and you feel your body heat going up but it's not to strenuous on the body. Thanks for the lingo translation, I'll get it down soon enough. Right now I'm waiting for a call back from the credit union and leaving the rest in God's hands. As long as I keep my faith going I believe everything will fall into place.

Melanie: Keep us posted with fertilization rates but 18 eggs is wonderful!

Sara: We will be praying for a good thaw and install! LOL~

Milpagan: We didnt use Capital one. We are using Comfort Care or something like that and the interest rate was super low.

Kim: just remember the injections are just for a short time! (at least I am chanting that to myself).

Lion, good luck with the ET!

Wishing, soon it will be stimming time!

latinosunshine; I just looked up comfort care and they sell equipment and uniforms (lol) I used carecredit when I did my lazik surgery but my clinic doesn't accept carecredit. But hey so far my loan is looking pretty gooooood! yay! They are waiting for just one more approval and then I should start my BCP in 2 days.

Afternoon all! This thread is really moving quickly now with everyone on it. I'm struggling to remember who is doing what when so sorry if I've gone anything wrong!

Nicole - welcome to the thread. I know I keep saying this when new people join, but you have come to the right place and everyone on here has been so helpful to me since I joined (I'm also a first timer). Day 5 is early days I think, so it's great that you've already got three good sized follicles. I'm sure there will be lots more in the next week or so.

Michele - I'm so pleased to hear that your operation is still on schedule. I imagine the best thing for your blood pressure is to try and relax between now and then, but easier said than done I know! I'll be sending you relaxing vibes over the pond... On non-IVF matters, I got really excited about hulu.com but discovered that until they sort out cross-border legal issues, they can unfortunately only stream shows within the US. Boo... Guess I will just have to hope that one of the UK channels sees The Amazing Race for the brilliant show that it is. I can't believe there are 14 series of it already. I've only seen three or four of them, so if I could just work out a way to get my hands on the rest!! As for Biggest Loser, our couples series is the one where the blue team is brothers Mark and Jay and the pink team is Ali and her Mum - Ali has just gone back into the house with Mark. So I think you are probably one series ahead.

Milly - I'm so sorry about your struggles with funding. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that you manage to find a solution.

Kim - welcome back from under the pile of work! Wow, ER as early as next Monday, that's so exciting! It's great news that the time has flown by for you, I think for me the waiting to get to the 'real IVF stuff' (ie ER/ET) is dragging a little!

Latino - hi! Wondered where you'd got to. 16th March isn't long away now!

Wishing4baby - hi as well! Good to hear from you. Not long for you now either - are you still on an expected ER of 18th March?

Lee - you're over your illness, yay! And it didn't affect your IVF treatment, double yay!! Only a week until you are PUPO, that's so exciting, triple yay!!!

Carolyn - hope the pampering is totally fab!

Melanie - I'm so, so, so happy for you. 18 eggs! That's fantastic, you must be over the moon. And what a great way for you to kick off the treatments on this thread, let us hope you have set the tone for things to come for everyone! I guess you will find out shortly how many have fertilised - do share the news when you know. Keeping my fingers crossed for all 18!

AFM, I had my first 'sniff' this morning of the down regulation drugs so I'm finally started! Yippee! I'm not totally sure I pumped enough spray in, I think I was a bit hesistant because it was the first time, but I'll make sure I do it properly tonight. I was a bit worried about it this morning because other than a tingly sensation in my nose I couldn't really feel much. Then after 15 mins I got the taste running down the back of my throat. Yuck! But at least that means I got at least some spray in correctly. And I can't remember who it was (so rude of me, sorry!) but thank you to whoever gave me the brilliant tip about a hot cup of tea. Of course I used the excuse to have a bit (OK quite a lot!) of chocolate as well to change the taste, lol!!

Anyway, take care everyone.

Hi All,
There are so many of us now it is hard to keep up!

Carolyn, that is exciting you paid your money and you are all set!!! Will see you there. Where are you staying?

I have my first ultrasound here in wisconsin on 3/17 and if everything looks ok I will start my stims around 3/25 so it is coming up. I hate that I have to wait for that first ultrasound so long becasue I am worried if they find something wrong everything will get cancelled.

I'm learning so much reading about everyones different protocols, ect. It is soooo exciting. I just can hardly wait to start giving myself shots! Never thought I would say that! LOL!!

Hello,

I'm new posting so I'm posting here because i can share my first 2 weeks experience so far, my story, I'm 32 with one ovary (left) and husband with low count, we tried for 10 year naturally, 3 pregnancies loss...Since we don't have health insurance, i searched clinics in Mexico City and I found one clinic with a main clinic in NY with good reputation (and dollar exchange in Mexico is going up is very affordable ($4,000 uds with medication included). My doctor was very gentile and careful with my ovary, I got on the 26th 5 eggs and only 3 excellent embryos..( i guess was a good count for only one ovary) On the 01/03 I got transfered only 2, my doctor saw my endometrium with 13.5 mm thick so he wanted to lower the risk of 3 implants...Today was my 5th day on bed resting like my Dr. said. I'm in progesterone and my next appointment for my beta is on the 12th...

Cheers to everybody!!!

Hi babymex and tabatha welcome to our thread we have a huge thread!!! I think its the biggest thread I have been part of and we are all really nice too!!

tabatha if you go to the top of the page there are a couple of lines that say FAQ Search Memberlist Usergroups Profile etc click on profile and it will bring up the page where you put in your password and info about yourself etc etc. Go to the bottom of the section that says profile information and there is a box that says signature In that box you write down anything you would like to appear at the bottom of each post then save and next time you write a post it should come up. You may need to check the preferences section and make sure you have ticked the right boxes so your signature is always added to your posts.
Hope this helps

Good luck for the 12th babymex you will be our first BFP!!!

Bianca keep up the PMA nothing is going to go wrong!! HA HA HA cant wait to give yourself shots you are so funny!!! Who in their right minds would put themselves through the things we do!!! Oh well it will all be worth it in the end :D Not long till you start stimms now, OMG i think you and Carolyn will be in Prague together that will be so amazing, your babies will have aunties on opposite sides of the world!!

Hazel I love your posts they catch us up on everyone!! Thankyou!! They must take you ages to do  I liked your triple yays they made me laugh, hmmmmm the lovely taste of synarel I think I will remember it forever my nose is starting to reject it now!! This is the fourth time I have been spraying it up there, do you think I will get withdrawel symptoms?????? Yeah I like the chocolate excuse too use it morning and night!!!!
