Barb

I take prilosec which my doctor said is safe to take. It really helps with heartburn and acid reflex.

For those dealing with morning sickness, check this out. Have any of you heard of this? I think I may order some and ask my OB if I can take it with additional supplements instead of prenatals, due to this product having folic acid in it.

thanks, had to send poor DH at midnight for something other than the tums. He brought back some maalox, which claims to be fast acting but was not, after one hr, thank the stars it went away.

How is everyone feeling? Molly no symptoms yet?

I think I have been having symptoms for a little while but they are not severe at all. Like this morning I woke up feeling sick and it quickly went away. My breast always hurt but I think that is the progesterone. I will be off of that next week, so it will be nice to see how I feel after that. Anyone else going off progesterone soon?

My DH says I have no one to play with poor guy:)
I'm sitting here watching that move Two weeks balling. I went throught it with my Mom & Dad. Ok different subject.\
Boobs hurt still so bloated already gained weight. Between 5 & 7 pounds so far. I guess that isn't to bad for almost 3 months. I think it's more of me being bloated then weight.

Hi ladies,

I’ve gained about 4 pounds, but it truly feels like most of it is in my breasts. Other than that, my symptoms: tiredness, some very mild nausea, sore breasts.

I’m a little concerned about the comments Joannet and tburks ‘s doctors made about the safety of u/s. I have never heard that before. I’m doing extra as part of this study, so I’ll need to check on this when I go in tommorow.

Joannet
Congratulations on your graduation.

Tburks
What a relief.

Good Morning everyone!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I got a lot of sleep this weekend, which I think I needed.

On Friday I started having a very mild cramp on my left side mid stomach, and it lasted all weekend. It has me kind of worried, so I left the doctor a message. Has anyone else experienced this? This is TMI, but I have been majorly constipated, so I wonder if it is from that.

Anyone have any new updates? I am just looking forward to my first OB visit this Thursday.

molly that happens to me all the time. RE says its because the pre-natal vitamins get you constipated. I get those pains too, but I am still cramping alot, no spotting. I do have my u/s this morning so we will find out more.

Keep you posted.

Good luck on your ultrasound Barb! I am sure you will get the results you want. The cramping went away for a little while and now it is back. It is pretty much on my left side only, which of course worries me.

well I just got back from my u/s and well first let me get the good news out. We saw THREE heartbeats and three little ones growing. I was so excited I started to almost cry.

Then the Nurse Practioner decides to tell me that they don't like seeing three because it could be dangerous, WELL ofcourse it's dangerous even with one but I understand, then she tells me that even though the heartbeats are strong that it doesn't make a difference since only in the 12 weeks it will count. So I am only 7 wks and I have to wait 5 more weeks to celebrate the fact that I might be having three or be sad cause only one or two will make it. So I have to keep taking the progesterone and estrace if not I could miscarry. WOW so do I act happy and wait for the bad news to come or do I just act like I am having one so I don't have a broken heart in the end.

DH is excited as a kid in a candy store and I am too but I just didn't like her negativity. This is a hard time for all of us and I believe if they didn't want me to have a chance of having more than one then they shouldn't have never implanted 4. I was happy with just transferring two but RE wanted to do 4 b/c of my age(37) NOW what if I go back in 2 wks and they see 4 what are they going to tell me then.............

Well enough about my pissy RE office. How is everyone else doing?

Barb - What great news! :D Of course if I were you I'd be worried and nervous and all that, but I'd also be celebrating and happy. Yes, multiples are more dangerous, but that's why you'll be sent to a high risk dr and they'll take care of you. Just remember to take care of yourself! Tell all the negative people to shove it!

Molly: I've had pains, not sure I'd call them cramps, off an on. It's really weird feelings. However, my u/s have been good and no spotting, so I tend to think it's just my body going through all kinds of changes. I have read somewhere that our uteruses will move into our abdominal cavity, although I don't remember when that happens. And as for constipation, join the group. Apparently it's quite common during pregnancy. Make sure you are eatting enough fiber and drinking lots of fluids to help the movement along!

Well ladies, I've gained 4 pounds and I finally had to clean the closet this weekend to make room for the big clothes :( It was kind of depressing looking at my cute clothes that I just was able to fit back into after losing weight only to put them back in the storage bin. But, on the other hand, it was kind of exciting hanging maternity clothes! :D

Has anyone started thinking about names? We have a girl name picked out, had it picked out before we ever started actually  But, we both really want a boy and I wanted to name him with a Japanese name since my husband is full Japanese. I can't believe how hard it is to come up with something we both agree on! I cannot wait to find out what we're having so I know for sure and I can start buying stuff!

K, better get back to work...laters!

Barb D what exciting news! I am so happy for you and like mandeekins said tell everyone to shove it. Now you have me concerned about progesterone oil. My doctor said I could quit the shots tomorrow, but since I am carrying multiples I was wondering if I can ask to stay on it as extra caution. I have already thought about this, and have been scared about giving up the shots. I will call tomorrow and ask.

mandeekins- I am not to the point yet where I need maternity clothes, but I thought about it and maybe I will go shopping this weekend. Yeah mine are not cramps but I guess more twinges. It was just on the left side and the only reason I worried is because it was pretty constant. We have played around with names, but nothing serious yet. I cannot believe we have to wait until 19 weeks to know the sex of the babies.

I so am looking forward to my OB appointment on Thursday. I know they check a lot more then the RE does and I will ask many questions. Any suggestions on good questions?

Barb
 WOW  3!!!!
I think you will be fine. I know the Dr's worry and it won't be easy on you but you stay healthy and it if it weren't meant to be for you to have 3 then there wouldn't be three. Just keep a positive attitude. All is good. :D

mandeekins & molly
I have already started wearing maternity clothes. My belly is huge! I had to go up and put money in for our anniversary at church Sun and I told DH I didn't want to go up in front of everyone cause than they would know - he made me anyway and of course when I set down a girl came up to me and asked me when I was due. I told her Oct. and she said" I knew it, I knew you were pg I wasn't sure until today but as soon as I seen you I knew!" So what's that tell ya. 7 weeks and people can already tell. I was going out the other night and just set and laughed at my belly in the mirror. I just can't believe it. And there is only one baby in there. Barb girl........you better get shopping today!!!

What prenatal vitamins are you all taking? I seem to be having trouble. I was taking Prenate Elite the company quit making them so RE ordered Natal Gloss and the company doesn't make them anymore either. He said he would just right prenatal vitamin on the next script but I'm not sure how well that will work. Thought if you all could give me a name I would tell him I want that one. You wouldn't think getting a prenatal vitamin would b so difficult.
