I am not pregnant! lol. That would be too funny though and I think I would jump off the bridge with you Courtney!!! And hey, if they sleep better doing that and they can go till 7AM doing that then so be it! And I am glad she got to rest at peace in her own home. Hanging on for that last moment. Precious.

Can you share with me what you first HCG level were and when you had it measured? I had my 1st HCG today (14 days past transfer) and my HCG was 835.. we transferred 2 and I think maybe they both stuck... That makes me a bit nervous but I am an identical twin.. my husband is a fraternal twin so I guess they would feel right at home :-)

lilmd: I THINK (I should have written this down) my 12 day post transfer was 500 something then my 14 day was like 900 something? I think you will be posting to this board soon!!! I had 2 transferred as well and both stuck.

I need help! Since I have started solids, they do not want the bottle as much. But they do not eat enough solids to keep them full. So should I resort to only giving them solids again once a day? At night they eat their bottle and solids...the other times it is hardly anything. We weighed Brooke yesterday for her RSV shot and has not gained anything since she was last there...Kenzie did gain though.

Hi all

Gosh you ladies can talk! I have done a read up but sorry will not do any personals at the moment. I have just come back from 4 days at residential school. I missed the twins heaps and I know they missed me :) Apparently Harry played up for three days out of 4 - really gave his daddy a hard time and then he went back to normal as soon as he saw me. Bronte did really well but is a bit more cuddly than usual. DH well....he hung up playing mommy as soon as I came home - he was well and truely over it after 4 days on his own with the twins - hehe :)

My workload for the next 6 weeks is absolutely feral - two 3,000 word assignments in less than 6 weeks - I am smiling and trying not to think about it. I will pop in from time to time but probably will not post too much as time will be extremely limited!

I have my doc's appointment next Thursday so will update after that.

Take care and keep well.

Hi Di, thanks for updating! Have fun writing those wonderful things! I think it is funny how much husbands understand what you go through when you leave, even if it is for a few hours in my case.

K so for the past 2 days the girls do not want to eat a lot...like a drop in appetite, major. I mean they are still sleeping at night so it is not a huge problem. Their reflux is acting up as well...it is weird how that comes and goes. Why is that do you think??

I think we may venture out to the park today and let them swing in baby swings!! It will be interesting to say the least. Is there an age limit on those things? LOL!

So Brooke now sleeps on her side/almost tummy. Odd position but whatever. She does not make a peep any more. I think she is so tired though because she wants to drop that last nap of the day which leaves her up for 3 hours! Their naps are now hit or miss. IE they are in there crying at the moment, I think I missed their window and they got over tired...oh well. I can not go back on it now!

It is so odd, since Brooke did not make a peep last night (or the night before) I am getting 7.5 hours of sleep!!! It is wonderful! I go to bed right after they eat at 10 (Well I usually make it in there at 10:30) and I am asleep by 11! I have missed sleep!!

Hi All,

I cannot believe it's almost mid March? The due date is coming up so fast. Can someone slow it down please? We are not ready for this baby yet!

Alyson is walking now! She still prefers crawling, but she can take about 5 steps here and there. It's really cute because she thinks it's pretty cool to walk and she's smiling very big. I also cut her bangs finally and she looks like a little doll. Noah and Sean are sick ... Noah has bad diarreah, but otherwise he's in a good mood. Sean's thrown up 4 times during Sat night. He didn't throw up yesterday, so hoping the worst part is over. So, it was a tough weekend for us. This Daylight Saving time stole my precious one our of sleep and I am cranky over it  !

Suga -- my babies' appetite also shifted greatly by week. When they leave some milik in the bottle, I normally use that to make cereal so that they don't miss the nutrients. I've learned not to get too concerned about it. I am sure your girls' appetite will come back soon. Since they are 7 months, they might be cutting teeth as well and sometimes that affects the appatite level as well. Let us know! Oh and isn't it nice to have a good night sleep? I am glad you are getting it!

DianeC -- Sounds like your DH has gotten quite a bit of workout when you were gone. They surely missed their Mommy and I am sure your DH was relieved to have you back as well! Good luck with your school work and the appointment! That came up really quickly, didn't it?

I have a question to all of you... What do you guys make for dinner? My kids demand my attention and decided to spend more time with them in the early evening instead of trying to juggle everything. So, I need some easy ideas for dinner!

Have a good Monday! Already looking forward to the weekend...

tolbee: Gosh I can not believe you are almost due! How exciting!! Yay for Alyson walking, I can not wait till mine are toddling around...wait. Yes I can, please make them wait till we are out of this apartment or they will be so injured all the time!! Sorry about your kids being sick, bummer. We hated the time change as well around here. Yesterday, the girls were so outta whack. But they are doing much better today with naps!!

For quick meal ideas: I say, make it in the morning? Make like lasagna or a casserole in the morning or during their nap time. Put it in the fridge until dinner time then pop it in the oven. When it is heated up, dinner time! Some other things, I am not sure if you grill out but have your husband do the grilling while you play with the kids? You can easily put together some green beans with chicken or steak and some mashed potatoes. As you can tell, I am a southerner by the way I cook! Or, buy a cookbook that says: meals in 30 minutes or less. Look in there and see what they have to say...I have a Weight Watchers book like that and they really are easy and fast.

Daylight savings was not as bad as the fall was. However, with fall I prepared and moved them back over a week time. This time I just let it happen and it was not too bad. Just woke them up a little early. They looked at me like I was crazy though that is for sure! We had a great day walking around the lake and they passed out within seconds once back in the car, too funny.

Ok, I have no one else to talk to this about as I dish most things to my mom but she will say I am just being sensitive. Today, my husband stopped by the gas station on the way home from work and picked up a snack for himself. He states, oh I got you something...it was poptarts for breakfast (he gets home at 9:30AM by the way). I look at him like he is crazy because I need/want to lose weight and he knows this. However, they are my favorite kind. He bought 2 packs. Then later on he asks if I was going to eat his too, I stated, no why would I? He kept asking me this (now it was starting to bug me) making sure I would not eat his breakfast for tomorrow morning on his way to work. I look at him, kinda mad now, and state NO I AM NOT GOING TO EAT YOUR DANG POPTARTS! I AM NOT A HEFFER!!

THEN he reaches above the kitchen cabinets and pulls them down. HE WAS HIDING THEM FROM ME?!?!? I was pissed at this point. I got all mad at him and went into the other room. He knew what he had just done. So of course, I start crying. He states he is sorry, etc, etc. I tell him that that is so mean to do when I already hate my body and can not lose weight as fast as I want to. ESP. with this dang PCOS crap where it is almost impossible to lose weight. Seriously, I am still upset about this. I have horrible self esteem at the moment because of my fat and "twin skin." I mean he apologized and I can tell he really is sorry about it. I know he was not thinking. But still. When I complain about my weight day in and day out now I feel as though he is calling me fat.

That was my morning, great eh? lol.

Kimi~ So sorry your troops are feeling down in the dumps. That's pretty rough on everyone when they are little. Hopfully this week will bring you nice weather and you can get outside, air out the house, and be totally on the mend. Good luck~
I cannot wait to see Alyson's hair!!! She is such a doll-like little girl already that I bet it's adorable! I seriously LOVE little Asian girls beyond words already and now with her sassy hair-do. . . well, I may need to borrow her for the summer! :D Congrats on the walking too!!!
As far as dinners go, we are pretty crazy around here. Last week I made easy things during nap time (lasagna, chicken pot pies, enchiladas) and threw them in the oven later. It has to be simple right now for me or we don't eat until 9 pm. and I hate that! Tacos, BBQ chicken, soups, crock-pot stuff, pasta dishes, and anything that takes little to no time to make. Right now I also do a lot of veggie lasagna because my kids LOVE it and I can get their veggies in w/o worry. I have also been making strawberry rhubarb crisp like it's going out of style!!! Cannot get enough of that stuff and I think the scale shows it!
I am so thrilled for you to have this new baby!!! I know it's coming up fast but I can't wait to hear new baby stories again! Names yet? DH has said he likes the name Brayton and I gave him full naming rights so we'll see if that's what I end up with??

Suga~ The Poptart story is sort of funny. . .sorry! :D I am known for eating only the good left-overs around here and that is totally something my dh would do to me! I know I am guilty of though so I sort of deserve his joking.
On a more serious note, I'm sorry you are feeling so bummed about yourself. I hear about "twin skin" but never got it because my twin were so early at 34 weeks. Is there any chance you are just being overly sensitive? When I am not happy about my weight and if I complain about it, my dh just says things like "Do something about it because I can't do it for you." Perhaps your dh is really trying to motivate you and he's just gone about it the wrong way. Weight is a hard subject but we all know if we are doing everything we can and where we need to improve. Just take an honest look at what you need to do and don't make any excuses. . . just do it! I am more the type to excuse myself and need the harder version of motivation myself.
It wouldn't be wrong to ask for more support from dh as well and suggest to him that perhaps bringing home your favorite flavor of poptarts isn't in his best interest either if he wants his svelt wifey back!

As far as babies an appetites go. . . I think this changes all the time. I let my kids eat as much as they want at meal time and never worry when they aren't hungry like normal. Growth spurts, teeth, mood, tired levels, daily activities. . . I figure it will all even out in the wash.

Diane~ You sound busy! How is everyhting down under? Family and friends all safe? Sounds like your dh got a run for his money for four days! YEAH! Makes them really appreciate us huh? Good luck with school and all your up coming work. I'm sure it will help take your mind off of fertility treatments. That may be nice! Good luck with that as well and I hope B&H have a new sibling next year!

lilmd~ Sounds like a lot of excitement for you and dh! My beta #'s were really low. My first 12 dpt was 62 and 14 dpt was 262. . .or about that. I did not think I was pg with twins but what did I know? Congrats to you and I hope to see you on this board! Keep us posted!

Courtney~ I love the story about your aunt both on this page and the one on your blog. She sounds like she was a wonderful woman. Surely she will be missed.
You sound like you are getting the hang of twins super easy. The moving target is right!!! :D

We had house guests all weekend and were crazy busy!!! They brought their three kids and it was entertaining to say the very least. Ages 9,7, and 3. WHEW!!! I adore company but hate to say that the house is so nice and quiet right now that I love it! I will post some weekend pics later on the blog. . .ok, maybe because I just might rest myself this afternoon.

Better run~ I'm sure cleaning is waiting for me while the babies are still sleeping. . . that or the strawberry-rhubarb crisp!!!

Di--I love your story about DH! I bet he REALLY appreciates you even more these days, huh? Glad you all survived. good luck on your papers and even better luck at your appt!

Suga--Sorry to hear about your DH. I hope he was just tired and didn't realize what he was doing/saying. I'd calmly ask him to try and not buy your FAVORITE treat since you're dieting. Honestly, I wish my DH would hide somethings around here, just so I wouldn't eat them! Hopefully you two can work out some compromise. As far as the kids eating, I echo what the others have said...don't try to force feed. When they're hungry, they will eat. We're teething BIG time over here right now, and my kids aren't eating all that much. I worry too, but I know they'll be okay.

Kimi--Sorry to hear about the sickness at your house. I hope it goes away REALLY soon! And, I too, can't wait to meet your baby! I'll have to check out your blog for Alyson's new do and walking pics. Yeah!!. As far as hectic dinner times, my kids did the SAME thing for several months. They'd be happy as clams until I went to the kitchen to make dinner. Now, I have a toy kitchen in the kitchen, so they help me "cook"....and things have gotten a lot easier. I know your two probably aren't there yet, but that time will come. I'm not a super chef, but I do keep it simple--we do lots of pasta, chicken, fish, etc. for dinner. I try to get some things ready while the kids are napping. Crock pots also helped for a while. Now that the weather's getting nicer, I'll probably have DH grill more. Sorry I couldn't be more help! Would they watch a short TV show? Barney is a fave of my kiddos. They don't really like TV, but when that purple dinosaur comes on, they love to dance to his songs! ha ha!

We've been busy over here. It's been GORGEOUS the past few days, so we've been out at the park and going for walks. Today's our last nice day, then rain/cold sets back in. DH's b-day is this Friday, so the kids are going to make daddy some art projects, and we're going to make him a cake! Should be interesting! THey love helping me make cookies, but this might be a different ball of wax. I didn't stress about Daylight savings time this year. They used to go to bed at 8 and wake up around 6:30 or 7. So, we're just pushing everything back an hour. Bedtime closer to 9 and wake time between 7:30 and 8. That means I don't get to see the kids before I go to work, but I will get to spend more time with them at night. Plus, we're so busy in the spring/summer, it would be nice to not have to rush home to get to bed. Now, we'll just have to see if the kids cooperate!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the dinner ideas. I do like this website called allrecipes.com as they have lots of easy recipes and it has review ratings. As I work until 1:30 pm and Alyson take a long time to fall asleep in the afternoon, I am getting short of cooking time. Sounds like you guys are cooking nice homemade foods! Casseroles, enchiladas, fish and reubab strawberry crisps? WOW!
Now, Aly has the diarreah... She's not cranky or anything but just has huge runny blowouts... So, I bought pampers size 5 last night in an attempt to stop the leakage. We'll see how it operates.

Kimberly -- Thanks about comments for Aly. She looks even more Asian with her bangs cut straight across. I might have cut it too short as she looks like a war orphan from the 40s in Japan :D. I have to post some photos on the blog, which I am falling behind these days. Brayton is a cute name! It's modern but classy sounding. We've decided to name our new baby Saya Elizabeth Campbell. Saya is a Japanese name, I think is simple and pretty and Elizabeth is my MIL's middle name. MIL's first name is Janet, and she hates it herself. What do you think?

Suga -- I completely understand your self-consciousness. I also have twin skin and who knows what I look like after this baby! There isn't much I can do now so I am focusing on the future and looking forward to getting back to shape when I am ready. My twin skin will just hang but I will work and someday get a tummy tuck done, maybe... I've developed a horrible sweet tooth during the past two pregnancies and that would be hard to break... Poptarts story is kind of funny! I guess he really wanted it for breakfast! It's one of those things maybe in the future you can look back and smile? Sorry, it probably was serious...

Buckeye -- What kind of cookies do you bake with your kids? I've been meaning to buy cookie cutters but I haven't found any that are shaped like cars and trucks etc... (boy themed ones). Have you seen any? I can picture a loving Mom with cute little kids baking cookies together, but with the crazy stuff going on, that lovely scene hasn't happened in my household as yet. If you have some good cookie recipes, please let me know. Have fun baking cake with Braeden and Ellie. Your DH will be so happy to know that your little ones helped bake the cake. Hope he'll have a nice birthday Friday!

Limid -- sorry I missed responding to you. I think mine was about 750 14 days post transfer. I suspected twins when I heard that number because my friend who did the transfer the same day with two blasts was 350. Good luck with you!

Anyways, better get back to work!

have a good day, everyone!

Kimi-I think the name is beautiful! Very unique, too! Oh, and don't get any grand visions of cookie making over here! I have tried some simple sugar cookies and good ol' chocolate chip ones. The only cookie cutter stuff we have done has been with little circles....I think they'd get too frustrated with anything too complicated. My kiddos actually love dumping the ingredients in and "trying" to stir...and then when the mixer gets going, they start to cheer! Braeden has my sweet tooth, so he knows that the mixer means cookies are close!

Kholtan--forgot to say, I like the name Brayton! maybe because it's so similar to Braeden? I've never heard of a Brayton before....I like when names are unique!

As for beta numbers....too long ago for me to remember! I know I have it written down somewhere....just can't remember where! good luck!

We got our TV last night! Woo hoo! It's hanging above our mantle, and it's sooooo crisp and clear! DH and I decided to rearrange furniture for better "viewing". We didn't get done until nearly midnight. So, needless to say, I'm very tired!

Gotta run. gonna try to catch a quick zzzzzz.

limid~14dpt my beta was 365, two days later it was 874!

kholtan~ I love the name Brayton! In fact, that was on our list! And it will be cute that both boys are B names, Bodie & Brayton...those are cute together!

kimi~And I love Saya too!! I cant wait to see pics of the new 'do' on your blog!

suga~first, be kind to yourself...you will get back into shape. You just have to be determined. But kindly explain to DH he is not helping!!! And by kindly I mean, forcefully, directly, but not over emotionally explain how you are feeling. Communication is key! OR, (this more closely resembles what I would do) rip the poptart out of his freaking hand and eat the whole box to prove a point...dont hide food from me!!! LOLOLOL, oh, my poor DH has his hands full with me though!!!!

buckeye~Enjoy the new tv, new gadgets are fun!

The boys slept from 8:30pm until 7 am!!!!! It is amazing how much better they nap when they sleep through the night!! Needless to say, today has been a good day. My dad and step-mom are coming up this weekend from FL, I am super excited and they havent seen the boys since they were born. But, lots of work to do around the house...

I can not get the girls on a good nap schedule. Brooke does not need to sleep as much as Mackenzie. I mean I put them down at the same time but Brooke wakes up from each nap after an hour. So I almost get no "me" time. So annoying. I tried making her cry it out but that just does not work. At least they are sleeping through the night now (minus 10PM feed). However, Kenzie did wake up at 5:30AM this morning. No idea why. I made her just lay there till 6:30 and I finally allowed her to get up.

Also, I asked the husband straight out what he really thought about my weight, lol. He said, I want you to be happy. I am happy if you are happy. I was like well, then you are not happy with me! He looked at me like OH CRAP and tried to state something otherwise and I just looked at him. It did not hurt my feelings as hard though. I know I need to lose weight but I lack the motivation. However, his feelings have, for some reason, kicked me into gear a little better. I mean when he met me and when we were dating I was skinny. When I stopped the BC pill it was like all hell broke loose with my weight. That is when I learned about PCOS...dang thing. Then fertility drugs and pregnancy with twins did me in lol. He said he knew that and that I was trying and etc etc. I could go on. In the end, he just kicked my butt into gear a little more wanting to get things under control.

Kholtan: I like the name as well!!

Courtney: I hope they keep it up!!! Sleep is great!

Oh question...how do you know if your baby is teething? Mackenzie woke up last night, Brooke wakes up off and on during the day and she has tonight as well. Of course, they are drooling and gnawing on everything they can get into their mouth (esp their hands and toys). Also, Kenzie wants to be held a lot (not like her). They are not sick that I can tell. But I look in their mouth and it is not red or raised or anything like that. I know teething can happen for months before a first tooth is cut but is it to the point where they are in pain for a few months before a tooth is cut?

Suga~ Good luck figuring out the teething thing! Mine acted like they were teething for about 4-5 months before there was a single tooth. I was always thinking that a tooth would pop up but nothing until mine were almost a whole year old! I think our first cut tooth was almost 11 months so mine were later than I would have thought but they did just what you are describing.
I'll be soon joining you on the weight issue for sure! I have always been thin and had no problems with weight at all but I think after this baby I will be singing a different tune. Sweets are my newest enemy! I use to NEVER eat them and never even crave them and all the sudden a night w/o ice cream is a criminal offense! :D  I am also 17 lbs more than I normally weigh and have lots of time left to pack it on! The great thing about weight is we can all lose it when we really want to! Good luck and just stay focused. Once you get into a pattern it should make it easier.

Courtney~ Have a great time with your family.Take lots of pics too! Thanks on the name. . . Dh is to get all the credit if we keep it.

Kimi~ I love, love, love that name! Saya is so pretty and girly! I also really like that it's Japanese. I'm a fan of family names and all of ours are named after someone so far but this new baby will just have a family middle name if it doesn't change. Very pretty though! It also looks beautiful on paper. I'm very visual and had to try it! :D

Kim~ Don't ya love to move things around?!? Bet you are lovin' a crispy new picture! Our living room is huge but because of the rock wall, bar, sliding glass door, garage door, fireplace, and stairs we can't do a thing with it. 36x24 room and we can only put our furniture one way! :? :(
However, I do think we need to come over for some cookies!

My babies are so confused that their bedroom is light at bedtime! They adjusted well to the time change and were right back on track that night but the light is letting them entertain each other longer than I would like for sure! I think if it continues for more than a week or two I will have to sew up a black out shade!

Better run!
