Thanks Carolyn. Bet you are counting down days to April. Fingers crossed 4 u.

Well spoke to soon. Cannot move our car as so much snow. Don't want sister out and about in ice and snow either. She slipped a couple of weeks ago so just cannot risk it. Took the very hard decision to cancel scan.

We have re-scheduled for a week tomorrow. 8 day wait.

Guess we all get used to waiting and nothing going to plan. But I am so frustrated as you can imagine.

Hopefully means that we are 1 week closer to the end. I shall keep you posted.

Will not dare post again until after 21 week scan. Should know better. Will console myself with the fact that tomorrow is the half way point

Love to you all.

Dear Ladies

That is so very odd. I posted here last night and my message is not here. How very strange.

Thank you for checking in on me Rachel (wow cannot believe that you are so close behind me) and Carolyn for remembering when you have lots going on yourself

We got through floods, sleet and snow to get to Birmingham yesterday is the early hours of the morning. There was no way that I was not getting there again. Was awake from 3am anyway.

My sister is super calm amongst all the storm. We had 1st scan appointment of day so reduced waiting time meant less stress for me. Her protein level is slightly high so they will check that out but they seemed pretty relaxed. Hope this is not an issue for my sister.

All is well. Baby looked fine. Was moving around quite a lot. No issues at all. So very very relieved. Loved fact that you could see all the fingers and toes.

We are having a little boy. I’d love either but I think deep down Mike will be very happy that his surname lives on and also that he will be able to go to the park and play football. We have a Spurs fan in the making already! Will just have to control my desire to buy cute pink outfits and give our son a complex!!!! Mike referred to him as his son on the way home and it melted my heart.

In tears all afternoon. Not sure why. Other than stress of last 4 years all hitting me like a train.

Feel happier and less stressed today than I have done for weeks/months – no make that years.

Thank you for all your support and friendship to get me this far.

Love and luck to you all.
Carolyn xxxxx

Carolyn,

I am so happy everything looks so good, and congrats on having a little boy! Though you can't dress them up as much as girl, boys do love their mommies! Do you have any names picked out?

Praying everything goes smoothly for the next 19 weeks.

A Boy!!!!! Well done you! You know I was wondering if i could only have one child what sex would I want it to be and I decided (having got both) that a little boy is definately the way to go! As Laura said, they have a special bond with their Mummies and your family name will continue for generations.

You just wait till the first time he says "Mummy" then you'll know what love is!

I am so, so thrilled for you and wish you all the best over the next couple of months!

Love Em

hey carolyn!!! CONGRATULATIONS on your baby boy. (sounds like your sister had him already  ) we found out what we were having too and i think it helps you relate and bond even more. the bump starts becoming a "he" or a "she" and makes it even more real!! anyway, so glad things are going well. wow, you're going to have a baby this year!! xxxx

Thank you all for your continued support. You are all fab.

Simply cannot believe that my sister is 25 weeks tomorrow. Keep looking at my ticker in awe. Taking comfort from the fact that if he arrives now then he would have a good chance, even though of course he would need a great deal of special care. Let's hope that I have to wait a few weeks longer to meet my/our son!!!

My sister seems to be very calm and relaxed still. She is getting regular daily movement which is also very very reassuring. Know that she would let the m/w and me know should she not feel anything for a day or two. This helps me an awful lot. More worried about her and how hard it will be for her towards the end with two children of her own and then facing labour also.

We are pretty sure that he will be called Sam. We want a B for the second name as Mike's father when he was alive was Basil and my Dad is Bryan. So he will most likely be Sam Benjamin ...........

Our private 4D scan is booked for 20th April but we may pass and save money towards extra time for me off work when he arrives. Tough choices but oh so lucky to be faced with the dilema.

I say thank you every day for the gift that we have been given. Have no doubt that I shall be doing that for the rest of my life.

Lots of Love
