 Tammy and Liam's Mom:I really am a goofball!!LOL My nurse wanted to kill me when I called today and it would figure this was the weirdest cycle I ever had. I guess this stuff is gonna start happening the older I get. Just hopin I got a few more eggs left but not getting my hopes up, my doc told me there is like a 5% chance with my own eggs. I wanted to go straight to donor but my RE and hubby wanted to try mine first. I'm already prepared and have a donor already lined up! Oh well, someone has to be part of that 5% or it would be 0% right? I just hope we're in the 5% catagory. Thanx for the luck ladies!!!! My appt is at 5pm today.

 Lynnie... thanks for the explanation re: your test... I tend to over question (and would be thinking the same thing as you re: why not 19 or 23?), but I've learned that sometimes these medical professionals do know what they're doing and perhaps the first 15 provided a clear picture of the normality of the situation and that's what prompted them to not test further... who knows?... but I'd imagine they had their reasons... I certainly think that it's going to be one of those situations that one day you'll be looking at your beautiful son/daughter and be thinking, wish I had been saved all that stress because he/she's perfect!... BTW, did you find out the gender? are you revealing to inquiring minds who want to know?... if not, congrats, nonetheless!!!... excited for you.

 Sharon... glad you were mistaken!... hope tonight brings great news to you and your DH... I'm thinking of you... keep us updated.

Sharon

I totally agree with you that it must work for someone to give a % range.

I was given a 6% chance with own eggs at 43 and it worked for me. My RE explained that is is not the amount of eggs at this age but the quality that matters. I wish you the very best of luck.

Sharon, it could just as easily be you as anybody else. FX for you.

Missy, congrats on the healthy little one.

Bonnie, good luck tomorrow. FX for you.

Kat, good luck Friday. FX for you.

Lynnie, i may have an answer for you. For some reason not all off the cells are testable. That is why they get "no results" on some of the embryos tested with CGH.

AFM, AF came to visit. I have my baseline US Friday and will start stims Monday.

Hello, to everybody else.

Hi Ladies,

Well, I still have not peaked (for ovulation) and today's day 24! I would assume I missed it somehow but my monitor is still saying my levels are "high"--I use the digital Clear Plan Fertility Monitor. Normally you start checking levels around day 10 and they'll read "low" then the closer you get to peaking they get "high" then once you peak they go back down to "low". For me I usually get a high reading days 12, 13 14, peak on 15 & 16 have high readings days 17 & 18 and then go back down to low until AF arrives. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. My ER nurse suggests to continue testing as the levels are still high, so there's still a chance I could peak--it's just odd. Thanks, Kris

Hi ladies, am back from my ski trip in France. I started bleeding quite heavily and sadly had a miscarriage, although technically, I suppose it was a chemical pregnancy ( I tested positive for 3 days and then started to bleed) as it was too early to be called a miscarriage. I did a final HPT and it was negative.

I am devastated and not sure where to turn next. I have sort of given up hope.

I have been reading everyone's news and hope everyone is doing great. Thanks everyone for checking up on me.

By the way, for those who are thinking of POAS, I started to test positive from day 12 after ovulation. Up to that point, it was negative.

How common are chemical pregnancies?

Speak to you soon.

Lynnie~I am thrilled to hear that your little girl is going to be fine! You must be so relieved. You have been through such a mental rollarcoaster--I hope you can finally relax a bit and enjoy your pregnancy. You are going to be the best Mum ever cause you will be so relieved to have that healthy baby in your arms at last!

Sharon~I am hoping you are in that 5%! You certainly look quite young--maybe your eggs are "youngish" too!

Renee~that is a huge change moving from Hawaii to a small town in Louisiana! You have certainly had one heck of a year. I hope it turns out to be a good change and that you, DH and Rocco will love your new life. I hope you can get knocked up before moving--sounds like a nice place to just kick-back and be pregnant!

Missy~Congrats on the healthy heartbeat!!!! What a relief. You can finally relax a bit knowing everything is going great in there! I am longing for that moment--the ultrasound is such a important hurdle.

Bonnie and Kat~Hang in there! It won't be long now. I've got my fingers crossed for your BFPs.

kelly~I'm excited you will be starting stims soon!

Hiya Suzanne and Tammy! and all the other lovely ladies on this board.

I am trying to chill out and wait patiently for my ultrasound. it is going to be another 2 weeks though--they wait until 7.5 weeks to do the first ultrasound here in NZ. I never dreamed I would still feel this crazy after getting a BFP! Thank goodness I do have my third beta tomorrow--so I'll get an idea if things are still on track.

Do you ladies plan to keep excercising throughout your pregnancy? I'm trying to decide if I should keep my gym membership or cancel it. I'd love to stay with my routine--but don't want to jeopardize my pregnancy since it's been such a long time coming. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Santa~I am so sorry! What horrible news. I was worried when we hadn't heard from you. My heart goes out to you and your DH. I know nothing I can say can take away your pain right now. Big hug for you.

I am sorry Santa. Unfortunately chemical pregnancies are quite common. Many women have them and never know it. They just think their period is a couple of days late. They are usually caused related to implantation of a genetically unhealthy embryo. Something we have more of than not at our ages.

Kris, to tell you the truth i only used my monitor 1 month. I hated it. It kept saying high. It never did peak. It just kept saying high so i quit using it. You want to know what the kicker was? That is the month i got pregnant with my son. Please tell me you have been doing the horizontal mambo.

BIG HUGS SANTA, Kelly

Hi

Bonnie: How are you? Any news.

Santa: My heart breaks for you. I am so afaid of my Beta, I get sick just thinking about it. I dont feel any symptoms of pg'cy and when I do, I blame it on the PIO shots.

This process is exhausting, as it is stressful, disappointing, painful (shots)and heartbreaking . But in spite of all that we all seem to muster up enough courage and faith to "do it just one more time" allthough the thought of it makes me feel like throwing up (literally) right now (must be the PIO). :(

So I will continue to wait, and pray that my BFN was just a "too" early to test outcome...sometimes ignorance is bliss. I have heard, however, that negative HPT's are contridicted by positive Betas..I hope that is my case.

Here's hoping, praying and wishing all of you ladies the best.

Hugs,

Kat
