WTF?

Post by Sisi1 »

Day 6 results are in.

My E2 is good, 776 Can/237 US, lining is looking good at 0,8, no cysts detected this morning, yey!

But I am bummed because this tec. says I only have 5 follicles????? How can they have gone??? I am so confused! Anyone PLEASE?
I will wait with panic until Friday at my day 8 to see if another tec can give me some more positive news!

At least both ovaries appear to be in the game, 1,1 and 1,2 on each side, hopefully the rest will follow at similar growth pace?

Keep you posted.......

i keep thinking of how i want my nurse to notify me of the beta tomorrow. i guess a phone call to the cell is the only way. i thought--maybe i should have her call my dh--but i dont want him to have to tell me.

Santa--i am so deeply sad with you. i have felt that pain--and for me it was deep. God has been there with me in the valley.

i will post as soon as i hear.

thanks again to you all,
bonnie

hi girls... while I find it difficult to post my results from yesterday after reading Santa's post, I suppose the highs are good to hear in conjunction with the lows, if only to show that this sometimes hellish process does work... but please know that my heart aches for Santa... wish there was something I could to other than type that.

 here's the scoop on the squirts:

measures:
2.08 cm
2.22 cm
both heartbeats around 180 BPM... I thought that was high, but the RE said that under 200 is fine, and better high than low... let's hope so.
Progesterone >40... I'm officially OFF my injections... happy about that
beta 44dpER= 207,553

hope everyone is doing well... thanks for thinking of me :D

 Santa: Let me first say I am so sorry! I was worried when I didn't see you on the board for a few days. Please don't give up. Maybe wait alittle and re-coop but never lose hope!

Ladies, I just got back from my 3rd day u/s and bloodwork (again..LOL) and still only 3 follies but my labs from last week looked good. My FSH was only a 6 on day 25. That means it should only be like 10 for today's bloodwork. The RE said it's not the amount of follies but the quality and hormones has alot to do with that. I go back next week for next u/s.

 Sue: Thats wonderful news!!...glad to hear your two little squirts are doing well!

hi Ladies!

well, i dont know if it's a sign--but when i took my dogs out to potty this morning--i heard a little squeaking sound under the front porch. the dogs heard it too--and sniffed at the deck to investigate. turns out it was a mama and a slew of baby SKUNKS--must have been born overnight. I'm glad i dont have morning sickness because the smell is horrid!

My DH--who is a very kind man--told me he might have to shoot the mother when she comes out! I said--THAT WOULD LEAVE THE BABIES AS ORPHANS!! so he searched online and found that mothballs might persuade her to move them! whew.

so on my first beta day--spring is in the air bigtime!

PS--another negative POAS this am. I am incorigable.

with love from bonnie

well, with a 9dt5dt my BFP beta is 116...so maybe i should throw out those hpt's!

Dr. said with that beta could be one or 2--and wants me to recheck beta on monday.

here's where the pros of dealing with a 22 yo DE might help me!

There was a woman in the waiting room who was 44 and there for her first appt. She asked me, "so are you shootin blanks and using a donor?" wow--i gotta tell you i was pretty surprised! We had quite a nice talk--after i picked my jaw up off the ground. I am old and mature enough to be able to handle the conversation. She said for her--she couldnt stand the thought of "the eyes looking back at her not being her own". I told her as an adoptive mom and a step-mom--that wouldn't be an issue for me. It's funny--as i would never have thought i would go this way--but i am totally at peace about it. her words--while crass--were not meant to be harmful--but the exciting thing is--it didn't bother me even a little--which feels really good!

A nice nurse told me once--finding the right donor is the difference between finding out your pregnant and thinking, "what have i done", vs "i am so excited" so maybe that's a big piece of it too. Seriously--this girl (my ED) could be my little sister. her parents look like mine, her health history is the same as mine, her ethnicity is the same. i just feel like it is a gift from God.

so that's my story today. I have a BF who i have been praying for to be pregnant the same times as me. She doesnt do/need ivf. She just miscarried yesterday at 10 weeks--and my heart is heavy for her and for santa. But i know from experience, Don't lose hope!! I am praying for each and every one of you.

love to all from bonnie

 Bonnie... OMG!... CONGRATULATIONS!... I love stories that are (happily) contrary to what's expected... not that your pregnancy is unexpected, but I'm soooo happy that the HPT's were WRONG!!!... personally, it makes your positive beta super-exciting.

sadly, people can be crass - amazingly so, at times... not sure if it's ignorance, immaturity, insensitivity or that they're just brain-dead lol... stay strong in your comfortable state and know that your show will begin and end as it is supposed to... there's no textbook life or family... happiness ought to be the goal, not convention... I think you're in a perfect place today... enjoy.

Congrats BON BON!!

I got my beta back too...it was NEGATIVE... and to top it off, there weren't any baby skunks under my porch! :? It must of been a sign...

Oh hummmmm  I am still kinda numb, I cried of course, then when I thought I had it under control I called my DH to tell him the bad news....he was so sweet and so understanding, it started the tears all over again.

Well I will see what the Doc says is next....Third time is a charm right? and three is my favorite number. Just exausted thinking about it.

Thanks ladies for all your support thru this...I really appreciate you all.

Hugs.

 Kat... I'm sorry... my mom would say, "pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move forward"... she's always been a little tough, but I think her intention was always to encourage us to push forward to bigger and better things... in your case, those frosties are waiting for their chance :D

sorry for tears... cry today (we all understand where you're at), but you'll be smiling next time around.

Hi ladies, thanks for your messages including the private ones that I have not figured out how to reply to yet !

There has been a lot of good news on the board lately. That is fantastic news Bonnie and Suzanne!

I have been reading about chemical pregnancies and they do seem to be quite common.

Kat, I am sorry to read your news - keep the faith, it is a message for you as much as for me. It WILL happen one day, and we will look back on this period and think argghhhh how did I survive it !

Hugs to everyone

Aw Kat, your posts strike me that you are a brave woman. I'm brave too--but miscarrying kicked my butt for a short season. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I know you will find a path to a child. i am so deeply sorry. After I miscarried and I was in a deep dark hole, I prayed with my dh and friends and was very supernaturally delivered from the pain and suddenly full of hope! This isnt how i thought i would have my child (DE) but i find i am utterly thrilled! He gives us the mercy and grace we need at the moment we need it. at least that's what i've found.

i am by no means out of the woods as we all well know. And if i were using MY eggs, well, aside from lightning striking--i would not have made it this far with my egg. The doctor gave me a less than 5% chance with my eggs. when i pressed him--he said probably less than 1 percent.

btw, the skunk thing is a nightmare. turns out we're going to a hotel tonight cuz we are the stinkiest family in the nation. my stepson was asked to leave shool today! we are all having fun with our stinkiness!

in the new waiting room, the one with the skunk babies in it,

Bonnie congrats!!! That is very exciting (and very encouraging that your HPTs kept coming up negative but you are surely pregnant)! What that lady said in the waiting room just made me laugh. We adoptive parents have heard it all, and now it just comes in a different form. I am so excited that you have a little bean growing in there. Best of luck and I am so glad you didn't let what she said get to you...you are so right, just being pregnant is enough to not care!

Good luck with the skunks...sounds awful!

Kat~I am so very sorry about your negative. I know how much it hurts. Let yourself cry and get the sadness out. I know it took me a while to recover from a BFN. But don't lose hope because you've got your frosties all ready to go. Big hug for you.

Santa~I am thinking of you and hoping you are doing ok.

Bonnie~Congratulations to you! You are pregnant--what super news. Now we can stress together about our upcoming ultrasounds!

Suzanne~congrats on two healthy heartbeats! You must be so relieved. This is a huge hurdle so I think you deserve to relax a bit now and enjoy being pregnant.

I just got my third beta results 12,188--she says it is good and strong, thank goodness. She also said I can stop the progesterone! Hooray!! And she scheduled my first scan for 2 weeks from today--alas another 2WW! or another 2WOH!
