Healthy Pregnancy After Loss???

Post by lilmd »

I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some positive stories about having a healthy baby after they have had prior miscarriage/loss due to chromosome problems. I have had 2 losses, one when I was 31 and one at 35 and I am now pregnant again (still 35). I am only 6 weeks and I go Monday for my first US. I am really trying not to worry but I can't help to since the 2 times that I have been pregnant there were chromosome problems. Each time they were different and we know they aren't being passed from me or my husband. I think it is my egg quality.. I have high FSH... I am also thinking that I am having twins.. HCG #'s really high... so then I am thinking what if one is healthy and one isn't???

I was just hoping to hear some positive stories.. did you do additional testing (CVS or amnio) etc.?

i have had 5 m/c's and one was a set of twins. Now only 1 of my m/c's had chromosome defects. I am 26 however i have been in perimenapause since i was 19. I was always told to had 20 yrs to my age and thats the age my eggs are acting. I do have two beautiful dd. One just turned 4 and i just turned 1. My eldest daughter they swore had downs. I did everytest and they all said downs and she was perfect there is nothing wrong with her. She is actually extremely bright. With my last daughter i refused all testing and screening saw no point. Therefore i had 3 singleton m/c's then 1 dd born at 39weeks then 2 m/c's 1 a twin (chomosome disorder and 1 singleton then last dd. Hope this helps

If you don't mind me asking... what tests did they do to say that your daughter had downs. That is wonderful news. You have obviously been through a lot. I feel like if it doesn't work this time that is a sign that my eggs aren't going to produce a healthy baby. I am trying to be positive until I am given reason to worry but I have these nagging worries that I guess I won't get rid of until he/she/they are here. Were the twins fraternal? Did they both have chromosome problems? Sorry for all the questions. thanks.

no problem for all the questions i dont mind thats why i stick around. I had 1st trimester screening, triple screen, level 2 u/s and a amnio. ALL said downs and does NOT have any genetic disooders. I guess my twins were paternal there was 2 sac's. well my first daughter if i do the math they say my eggs were the age of a 41 year old and my second daughter was of a 44yr old. I never produced more then 6eggs at a time either
