We had transfer this morning

Post by hope11235 »

Hello, I'm new to IVF and new to this forum. I am the 43 year old husband of my wonderful, brave 40 year old wife. We saved for a long time to try this. It's our 1 chance. This morning, at day 5, we transferred 3 blastocysts: 2 at grade 3, 1 at grade 4. The other two eggs we got fertilized, but did not develop past day 3. No others to freeze.

My wife is resting comfortably and we are hopeful but realistic. If we are not blessed with our own child, we will adopt. I love my wife so much, and am so proud of her toughness and positive attitude.

I wish everyone here the best of luck and we will keep you all in our prayers.

Sounds like your cycle went really well!
I am 41 and my husband is 46. Of the 18 mature eggs retrieved, 12 fertilized but only 1 made it to transfer day - so your situation sounds promising.
Only with that 1 embryo (a 5 cell) I am pregnant. :)
We have had some scary moments with my HCG levels but it seems we are on the right track now.
Think positive!
Don't give up hope - anything can happen...
Best of luck -

Best of luck to you! My DH and I are pregnant on our first try with a 5dt of 2 blasts. We just received our positive news this week and I go in for my second hCG test today to make sure my levels are rising. Take care and stay positive!

Well, we're pregnant! We can't believe it, and feel very blessed and lucky. Hormone levels look good - high actually. We go back in a week to check them again. The doctor said we have an 85% chance of delivering one baby, and a 50/50 for multiples.

This has been a physically and emotionally (and financially) draining process. We're going to take it day by day, as we know there's still a long road ahead, and many things could still happen.

Right now, though, we are beyond thrilled!

Best wishes to everyone here. Thank you so much for the kind thoughts. We send our prayers.

Dear hope 11235, CONGRATULATIONS! This is great news. I sincerely hope all goes well for you both and the baby/babies. Take it all very slow and easy... I found out yesterday that our first cycle with one grade A embryo did not work. Your story gives me hope. Good luck with the process...
