your story

Post by kerrib »

wow!! all i can say is wow. i honour you, your journey and your sharing. thank you. i have four children from a previous marriage, fell pregnant without trying..no problems with anything but delivered by c/section. cut to 11 years later, remarried and due to medical misadventure my husband lost his ability to father children - however he has two of his own...so bittersweet, we are so glad we have each other, over 40 been fighting for compensation for 3 years to be able to afford ONE go at IVF / ICSI. Hubby had biopsy and they froze some time ago. we are now on day 8 after 2 (best and textbook looking!!) embryos were transferred..phew. ..having a nervous wait, and wish i had of thought of taking my temperature daily! i am so anxious and at the same time elated...i guess people may think we are greedy but we cherish the children we have and want to also experience the joy of a child together like everyone else in love!! i have sore breasts, and sensations going on that stir faint memories. im really hopeful as i know that this can also be due to the drugs...only 6 days to go. i hope you get this as i felt inspired to write to you..i wonder also how it has all turned out for you?

Thank you all. Em - that is very reassuring for me.

Just thought that I'd stop by ahead of the long Easter weekend to look at my ticker and marvel. Some days I simply cannot believe that it is happening to us and think that I will wake up and it will all have been a dream. Cannot believe that this is happening to us after all the pain. We are so very fortunate.

My sister is doing so very well. She seems calm and very relaxed. She has not made any compliants the whole time. She is a superstar and angel all at the same time. She went to the hospital on Tuesday and they checked everything and discharged her as her thyroid was all ok. Sam growing nicely and she heard the heartbeat. They do not want to see her again until he is on his way

We have decided to cancel the private scan and now wait for the big day to meet our son.

The nursery is all done. Cream with bears and bunnies. Plenty of time for blue/green later. The furniture is all built. His clothes are hanging in the wardrobe. I go in there every morning and night just to look. His rocking crib is in our room all made up!!!! My dh is making me wait to put the car seat in the car   Holding back on packing our bag for the hospital but it will be done soon for sure.

I am so ready to bring Sam home with us. We simply cannot wait.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend.

Lots of love to you all.
