Barb: I'd be super excited! I know it's risky, but congrats!

Well I had a scare last night...I was at work & started spotting. I've had 5 miscarriages, so needless to say I totally freaked. DH & I rushed to my RE's office at 7:30. U/S revealed: 2 sacks, 2 babies, & 2 heart beats! I still can't believe it! I go back for another u/s next Thursday because my RE thought she may have seen a 3rd baby! She couldn't find a heart beat. It was really hard to see because my ovaries are still really big & the twins were in the way. She's thinking it's just the twins, but said to prepare for triplets. We are happy with either, of course. I do hope the spotting stops soon. It still worries me. We weren't able to find a source for the bleeding, so my RE says not to worry...it's not the babies.

Molly: Our twins had very similar heart rates. I am 6w5d today & Twin A's was 113 & Twin B's was 116. Have you had another u/s?

Twinmom - I feel your pain, i haven't thrown up yet but I am soooo sick. Everyone keeps telling me it's a really good sign and I'm not complaining but boy does it suck sometimes. I went today and got some fruit and veggies to eat throughout the day, every book I read says to eat, but I don't want to be the size of a house in 7 months so I am going to try to stick to some healty snacks. I did read that woman with "morning" sickness have a less chance of miscarriage so that is very reassuring. I do not want to by maturnity clothes yet but my jeans make me more nauseaus just being on my stomach.

Barb - congrats that is so exciting, I can't imagine all of the imotions you are going through right now, just enjoy every minute of it.

I have my final ultra sound and appt wiht my RE this friday I will be 76 weeks by then and it's one more hurdle. I think after everything goes well with that one I may start telling some other people. Right now our close friends and family know but I really want to see that heartbeat first. With the way I feel though there is no doubt something is going on in there!

shelleyj5- Wow our heartbeats are very similar. My doctor said they were strong and that is what matters.

TwinMom- I am sorry you are not feeling well. It comes in waves for me, but never too bad.

Niki- What date is your ultrasound?

shelleyj5- I am glad everything turned out okay. When will you find out if it is triplets?

As for me I have my first OB appointment and I am excited and nervous. I am really hoping they do an ultrasound, because i want to make sure everything is okay. It is a two hour appointment, so I am really hoping they will do it. If not I will ask.

Molly - Have fun today at your first appt with OB! :D

niki - I didn't really have to buy maternity clothes yet, but I tell you, that elastic waist feels a TON better than my regular jeans do at this point. My regular jeans are tight, but I can button most of them. But, everytime I bent over or sat down I thought I'd throw up because of the pressure on my tummy :( Good luck at your last appt tomorrow with RE, one more hurdle over!

twinmom - So sorry you're so sick, that sucks :( Have you been to your OB yet? You might mention going off pre-natals to your OB and see what they say. So far, it's been great for me!

shelleyj5 - Good luck at your u/s today! Wow, triplets maybe? My heart would be racing while waiting in that waiting room today. I'm glad everything checked out with the spotting. Are you feeling ok still? No more spotting?

afm - I still feel pretty good as far as sickness is concerned. I am still super tired and so dang tired of PIO shots...one more week of those. And I'm going to gain 10 lbs this week alone if I don't stop eatting everything in sight...uggghhh! Hope everyone else is doing well!

Mandeekins: Glad you're feeling better. I wish I could say the same. My nausea is pretty debilitating, I really just want to lay on the couch all day & not move. I won't have an OB appt for another couple weeks, but when I do maybe I'll ask about different prenatals. I don't have my next u/s until next Thursday. I wish it was today! I've been getting kind of nervous about the possibility of triplets. I just want them to be healthy. I'll keep you guys posted. Oh, and no more spotting! Yeah!

Molly: My RE said those heart rates were good & strong too! I hope you get an u/s today. That's exciting...let us know! I should know if it's triplets next Thursday, so we have to wait a whole week!

Niki: Good luck on your u/s tomorrow!

Oh shelly, I'm so sorry! I know that feeling and so glad it's over! I laid on the couch all day too and slept off and on. One other thing my midwife has me doing, which I've read online also, I take a B6 in the morning and then another one at night with a half a unisom. I think I read somewhere it's so far been the only otc the fda has approved for m/s. If you felt like I did, I was desperate to try anything!

For those of you with the pre natal vitamin issues I think i have found a good one, it's Prenexa (here is the website http://www.prenexa.com/) It has natural plant based DHA so no need to take the separate DHA oil pill. I am feeling better now that I changed to it, still qweasy but not as bad. And ginger ale is another help. Besides that I eat small food all day long and it helps. My OB gave me Zofran but it's a serious medication that I am not completely comfortable taking yet, so I am working on figuring out what triggers it and try to take care of it naturally.

I am soooo excited for my appointment tomorrow, we already had an Ultrasound with my OB but it was at 5 weeks so we just saw the sack and yolk sack, i just want to see my baby tomorrow. I had a dream last night that we went to the u/s and it was twins, it was so real and I saw them in my dream, I am still holding out hope for 2, but 1 will be great, i just want to see the heartbeat. I feel in my gut everything is great, so I can't wait!

Oh one more thing, prenexa has the Vitamin B6 in it to help with the nausea too. Gosh I feel like I sell the drug at this point, but if it works I am more than willing to spread the word.

morning all, how is everyone's pregnancy coming along? I woke-up this morning spotting, bright red. I called the RE and they have not called me back so I am just laying in bed and trying to relax and think happy thoughts. I figured maybe it is normal since there is three in there trying to grow. Hope I am right.

BarbD- I am sure everything is okay. Did your doctor ever call you back. I will be thinking about you and please keep us updated.

Niki- I am so happy you got to hear your baby’s heartbeat. It is such an exciting thing to hear.

Well I went to the OB tomorrow, and both babies are fine. Baby A’s heartbeat is 152 and Baby B’s is 173. I asked why they are so different, and she just said they are different babies. They also said I had a bit of bleeding in my uterus from implantation. They called it something that started with a B hemorrhage. They said the name sounds scary but it is perfectly normal and won’t harm the babies. Has anyone heard of this?

Well I also think I am not impressed with my OB and this is not the first time I have seen him. I waited for ever to be called back for my appointment and when they did they did the urine sample and made me wait some more. The doctor called me in briefly talked to me, and asked if I wanted an ultrasound. Of course I did and I thought they would send me down the hall. Instead he sent me across town at almost 5pm to another office of his. I was mad but I wanted to see my babies. I also find it odd that he did not do any kind of exam to see if everything is okay. Is this normal? I also had to go to another lab to do my blood work. I am not sure if I am feeling this doctor and what I should do. I want a one stop place where I can get everything done. Does anyone have advise on finding a good OB and what I should expect?

Niki, I am so happy you got to see and hear the baby.

Molly, I am having the same the same bleeding kind a behind baby A and the RE says that that is normal but we just have to keep an eye so it does not get worse. We saw all three babies but the baby c is not growing at the same rate as the other two so they are thinking it might not make it. It heart to hear those words specially when you see it and you see it's little heartbeating. I am on bed rest this weekend and hopefully everything will be ok. I have another u/s Tues just to check the bleeding.

As for you OB, I would ask the RE if they recommend someone else and you can make an appt with the new one and interview them. I have co-workers that did that with there regular MD. You have the right to love your OB. Good luck.

Barb

Hello ladies,

Well tonight was my last PIO shot. I start on the suppositories tomorrow. said I only have to take the progesterone to 10 weeks so it will only be about 2 weeks on the suppositories. That's not to bad. I'm kinda glad. Those shots were getting old.

I had some more bleeding the other day. My RE is wonderful. I really didn't feel like anything was wrong it was old blood but they wanted me to come in. I told them I thought everything was fine and they said I could wait till Weds. That should be my last appt. with them and I'll get to go to OB.

I have been so tired and some days the OHSS is fine and other days I am miserable with it. I had really bad heartburn early this morning - like 4 am early. Maalox did not touch it! I didn't think it was ever going to go away. This being pregnant thing sure is challenging. My child better love and appreciate me and dad a ton!! I never realized what women go thru to have a child and I told DH the other day that this was just the tip of the iceberg. Once we hold that beautiful baby it will all be worth it. DH has been wonderful. He is having to sacrifice a lot to.

Well, you all have a good weekend.

Hi All,
We went to our 1st OBGYN appt yesterday. I love my Dr. very Irish & down to earth. We got great pictures. The Dr. put on them Teddygrams because thats what the baby looks like. A Teddygram cracker. We saw the arms & legs moving. The heartbeat was 164 & he said yesterday I was 10 weeks 3 days so that will bring me exactly to my Mom's birthday of 10/6. I do have to have a C section due to the surgery I had to remove my fibroids but I knew that anyways no biggie.

About the m/s I have been blessed not to have it but I have felt nausea a lot & I will throw a little something in my mouth every 2 hours. It could be 2 oreos, a piece of mozzerella anything & it helps. As for the vitamin I take it when I go to bed so I don't feel all the side effects from it.

And yes I am in maternity clothes. The Dr. said since I had a mc last May my body knows(kind of like having your 2nd kid) thats why I am showing alot earlier. But we are still waiting to tell work & friends. I really only have 10 days then I can scream on top of my lungs.

I'm glad everyone is well & doing great
