hi girls,

its been so quiet on here. Hope all is well for everyone.

Has anyone had a baby that was a really good sleeper and then all of a sudden, wasn't? Cara was sleeping so good, and the last two nights, not so much!! She had me up every hour or so, not really all that hungry, not wet, no fever....just awake. Any thoughts? She goes tomorrow for her 4 month well baby check and shots. I hate shots, wish they could poke me instead!

Ronda- My dd was a great sleeper when she was a baby. The only time she would be up at night was when she was coming down with something, only I didn't know it yet. I would find the same thing, no fever, not hungry or wet or dirty and it would drive me nuts. Then, usually within a day or two she would end up with a massive ear infection. I guess the fluid building up would keep her up before she got really sick with fever and stuff. Maybe your dd is starting to come down with something or maybe it's just a phase (hopefully not) Talk to the pediatrician if it continues, sleep is such a precious thing!

mo- I read about that but until the US makes infertility treatments a mandatory part of insurance coverage I am not so sure it will go through. All the other countries that regulate how many embryos are transfered all cover IVF and many do not have private health care systems so all citizens get it. Here in the US many people have to purchase there own health insurance and IVF is not always covered or coverage is limited. I think many people will fight it, I know I would support the fight against it. It took me 4 tries and finally transfering 4 just to get a singleton. I think it would be really unfair to limit the number of embryos put in just because that woman is crazy and her doctor was unethical. I mean, how many RE's would put in that many embies with past successful ivfs and with someone that already had 6 children. I mean there are guidelines the docs are supposed to follow and so many variables that can affect outcomes (like egg or embryo quality). Ok well I have said enough on that subject.

You are so close to the end how are you feeling?

lyly,

thanks for the info. Cara slept better last night, just up one extra time (for a total of 3).....so hopefully it was just a odd night.

Your pregnancy is cruising right along. I am so happy for you.

Cara had her well baby check today. She almost 15 lbs and grew 2 1/2 inches in the last month. She is now in the 90th percentile for height! What a big girl she is getting to be.

Hope everyone is well.

Hi all,
I think the reason it's so quiet is b/c no one is getting the email notifications when posts are made. :( bummer..... I know there have been several posts i've missed completely......

AFM: We were cleared earlier this month to try our 1st official 'round of IUI/clomid.... I freaked, b/c the cheapo ovulation/Lh surge indicator sticks I bought weren't clear, so we went ahead and took them into the RE's office on 3/8....... low and behold, I had two ripe follies, so DH did his duty (bless his heart, by himself AND with the knowledge that his mom had just been admitted to the hospital without knowing why) & then the RN did her thing with me............ WOW. That is just unnatural..... the whole thing, infertility treatment, needles, peeing on things- it's all just too weird!!! I didn't expect to bleed so much, but it tapered off and hopefully went well enough. I'm now CD20 and 10 days past IUI. I think I have to test tomorrow, but everytime I think about it........... AND IT IS OFTEN, I get nauseous. :(

You all would have laughed at me.... I laid there visualizing an opening blossom :) hee hee!!

How are all of you pregnant girls?????????????? I want to hear about your babes moving!!!!! I so look forward to that, even though it seems weird to me!

Hi all,

So glad everyone is well.

Ronda, we have a few weird nights too. Brielle usually sleeps from 8pm to 730am and the last few nights she has been screaming for hours, well thankfully I now know what it was. She now has two teeth, amazing. She is not even 5 months yet, although I should have expected it because Julianna got hers early also. Brielle is big also 90 percentile for weight, she weighs 17 lbs 5 oz and 75 percentile for height.

Lyly, every time I see your ticker I am so excited for you. You are almost under 100 days. Do you have a name picked out?

OK, I would like everyone's opinion of when I should test. As you can see from my post yesterday, I'm CD 21 and 10 days past IUI. The RE said I can test Sunday......

I'm losing my mind!

Nicole- If my calculations are correct then Friday would be 12 days past IUI. You may be able to get a positive result then, but if it is negative retest on Sunday. I was never able to hold out to the full 14 day waiting! Good luck hun, I am rooting for your BFP!

Debbie- The baby's name is Francisco Alexander. Francisco is dh's father's name. I personally wanted Alexander as the first name but dh wanted to name him Frank or Frankie after his father. So I said we should go with his actual name Francisco. I am hoping we go with the nickname Cisco instead of Frank/Frankie, but I guess we will see. The doc told me he would induce me between 38-39 weeks. I am hoping I go earlier on my own. 37-38 weeks would be great, but week 39 would not be good since it is dd's dance recital week (rehearsals all week then 3 shows on the weekend). I really don't want to miss seeing her recital this year since it is the first year she is doing recital company (which she does 3 extra dance numbers on top of her 3 classes and is in every show). I am scheduled for an u/s in 3 weeks to see the baby's growth. I can't wait.

Hi everybody!
Glad to hear everyone is alive  .
Nicole,I' can't wait the result! I hope so much it's BFP this time!
Lyly, how you feeling? Any complains?Did you start to buy stuff?
Do you feel baby move a lot? In my case placenta in front works like a cushion and I can't feel a lot of movement still, but I'm happy if I feel her a few times a day to keep me from going crazy.Other then that,I don't have much to complain about.
We are going to Florida for a few days before my doctors tell me to stay put.
Hey girls -Ronda,Debbie,Beth-what strollers did you guys get?
IVF#1-BFP,but lost our angel at 16 weeks
IVF#2-BFN
IVF#3-BFP,started w/tiplets,lost one at 7 weeks,lost a second at 15 weeks
Praying for a miracle baby to stay with us!
It's a girl!

Marina- I still haven't bought anything, but I do have the crib sitting in pieces in a spare room. My cousin gave me her crib from her son and told me if I didn't take it now she was getting rid of it, so I took it. My cousin wants to throw me a baby shower and I still haven't even gone to register yet. I think I might finally give in and go this weekend. I do feel the baby move but I don't think it is alot. Today was the first time that I could feel the baby push against my hand while it was on my belly. I am hoping that dh and dd are able to feel him soon. He mostly kicks me really low and I have a bit of a cushion over there (since I had a little pouch before I got pg) If he keeps that up they wont be able to feel him for a while. As far as complaints...... well I can't sleep because I am really uncomfortable (I am a stomach sleeper), my back hurts in the late afternoon /evening and the worst I have severe heartburn daily. Other than that I am just happy to be pg and pray the baby is healthy and doesn't have downs.
