Hello All,

Congrats to everyone! I wanted to join this message board as I received a BFP on 3-Mar. My ER was on 13-Feb so my calculated due date is 6-November. I had 3 BETAs that were: 337, 753 & 2754. I am currently waiting for my u/s which is scheduled for this Friday,March 20th. I am so excited and nervous for the u/s. It was nice going in for the BETAs because that way I could see that the numbers were rising and that made me a little less anxious. But now that I am just waiting and have been for a week with no testing it has gotten harder. I am just over 6 weeks and still have no sysmptions which I know could come at anytime.

In regards to working out, I ran 5-6 times a week prior to my ET and I am uneasy about running again during my pregnancy only because I am too scared. I have been and plan on walking 6 nights a week to at least get some exercise in. I have also thought about joining a prenatal yoga class.

Ivy Frances -- Looks like we have our u/s on the same day. Here's hoping that the week will go by fast.

Char~Does it mean you might have twins since they saw two sacs? I'm sorry you have to wait again before you see the heartbeats. But I am sure everything will be ok as your first US was quite early. All this waiting is insane!

I definitley am feeling some symptoms now. The worst is the extreme exhaustion. I am not a napper normally and I find I need a nap around 4:00 everyday if I am going to make it through the evening. Then I also go to bed really early too! I also have frequent urination--I need to pee about every 2 hours! So I don't get a good night's sleep as I have to get up to pee! Is this happening to anybody else?

Hi ladies, crashing your thread to wish SueQiwi a big congratulations! We cycled together last September. I'm so thrilled you got your BFP this time! And your symptoms sound just like what I dealt with in the first tri. I had sore tatas as well.

Congratulations, Hopeful VA, and welcome to the group! We'll anxiously await your ultrasound on Friday with you.

Sue - yes, since there were 2 sacs, it could mean twins. I can hardly wait for my second u/s which is still a week away! I also have to get up at least once during the night to pee and have been for the last week. I suppose we better get used to that.

Wondercat - I haven't had headaches, but when we were in the 2ww, I was having bouts of my heart racing. I think it was because of my anxiety over the wait so you may be right about your headaches.

Good luck on Friday Hopeful and Ivy. I will be sending good thoughts your way - I go in Monday!

Wondercat - I have had some reactions to the progesterone also - I have very sensitive skin. I have tried to wear clothes that make it better - more things that are cotton, flowy skirts, underwear that does not cut where the shots go, etc. Slight wardrobe modifications can make a huge difference. I also transer the shots on a different side each night, which helps (though if one side looks really bad, I might double up one night to give it a break) and look for an area we haven't hit yet.

I am also on Lovinox shots (they found some clotting issues, which they think had nothing to do with my two miscarriages, but just to be safe). I give them on my stomach and the bruising can be bad. Between those and my skin's reaction to the estrogen patches on my stomach, my stomach is mess!

continued good luck everyone!

Hopeful VA - Yes, I agree it was better when getting the HCG results - it felt very concrete and satisfying to have those numbers. You're lucky you got three - I only got two. Hope your week goes quick too - maybe you've got double trouble abrewing with those betas? :) I can barely muster up a walk these days, but I've never been a great exerciser, so may just be using this as an excuse. I plan to resume my daily walks though because I am feeling out of shape, which is not good. My husband has been worrying about me exercising, but I think it is time to go back. I've also though about a prenatal yoga class, but since I still don't believe it - I'm not signing up for anything "pre-natal" yet.

Wondercat
- Very occasional headaches, am tired (but no more than usual), a little hungrier than normal. But still very vague symptoms that I cannot attribute directly to the pregnancy probably... Regarding PIO, am occasionally sore but it seems to be when I go back to bed after the shots. It does hurt going in and is a little sore - but usually not too bad. No chafing or itching. Hang in there.

SueQiwi - Hope you can get a good night's rest! I do get up a couple times in the night - a little more than usual...

Charr - Hang in there until that second US! These waits are so hard....

Excited-in-la - I'll be sending good thoughts your way too (and everyone else, because I guess we're all waiting for something)! I can't wait to hear everyone's next results!

SueQiwi - YES, I am not sleeping because I have to pee all the time. I don't even know where all this pee is coming from, because I don't feel like I'm drinking more - but I guess I am. I know I have been drinking a lot of milk, but I was always a big fan of milk so I don't think it qualifies as a craving or anything.

charr - I think it's officially stress. I woke up this morning with my whole left shoulder in one gigantic knot. Feels like I'm going to have a nervous breakdown before this u/s tomorrow. And it's not until 3:30, so I have to get through most of the day beforehand. Of course at this point my anxiety is split between a paralyzing fear that the u/s will show nothing and the thought of having to wrangle my way out of Boston at the height of the evening commute. I am so not a city girl.

excited-in-la - Sadly, I'm puffed up enough from all these hormones that I have a very limited number of pants that fit me right now. Specifically, two pairs of stretchy jeans and one beat up pair of khakis. Thank goodness my office is a very casual one, but I usually dress up a lot more so I'm kind of surprised nobody has mentioned anything yet... I do transfer the shots, but both sides are looking so mangled I'm not sure it matters.

Ivy Frances - Sounds like I have the opposite situation. My husband is pretty good at it, so it doesn't hurt at all going in. It's afterward that the pain kicks in. And literally, it looks like somebody has been kicking me! Like a very small, angry horse! :) I looked at it more closely today, and my skin is definitely very dry and irritated over the bruising. I'll ask my doctor tomorrow about what I could do to make it a little more bearable.

Seriously though. I am freaking out over this u/s tomorrow. My husband is completely baffled by that, so it's useless even talking to him about it. He just accuses me of being too negative. All I can fall back on is that it's just not real yet, and I'm so afraid that tomorrow's results will be a "just kidding, there's nothing in there!" Anyone else feel that way???

Wondercat~I totally feel the same way about the ultrasound! I am scared to death they are going to tell me I have a blighted ovum or it was all a mistake! It makes me feel so crazy cause I feel like I should still be over the moon from getting my BFP--but now I am stressed all over again. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping for some great results--what a relief that will be! My daggone US is not until 27 March--they wait until 7.5 weeks here. I think I will probably lose a few more marbles by then!

Kerpuppies
~thank you so much for popping by with your well wishes! I hope your pregnancy is going smoothly so far. We had such a great bunch of people of that thread and I still think about you all!

SueQiwi - Oh, good! I feel like a little bit less of a crazy person. Or at least like I'm a crazy person who isn't alone in their insanity. I have yet to feel truly happy and excited about this. I'll be sure to give you all an update when I get back tomorrow. Try and keep a grip on the rest of those marbles! :)

Wondercat - Hope tomorrow puts your mind at ease. I feel EXACTLY the same way about the U/S. I am not believing until I see it, I guess... Wishing you the best!

Wondercat - Good luck with your ultrasound today! I used to live in the Boston area so I also understand your nerves of getting out of the city at rushhour!

AEB - Did you have your ultrasound? Hope it went well.

As for me, I've been having bright red blood which is making me nervous. So I'm to go in Thursday for another ultrasound instead of waiting until next week. I've started having more morning sickness though so I'm taking that as a good sign. I feel nauseous pretty much nonstop now.

Just got back from the ultrasound - Everything looked the way it should! Little black blob, little lighter circle, and VERY little dot that's the little guy! The doctors (it was like a party in there - 2 doctors and 2 nurses, one of each in training) also claim to have seen a kind of pulsating that I guess means the heart is beating although they didn't even try to listen for it.

charr - My mom tells me that she had quite a lot of bright red bleeding when she was pregnant with me. And I guess that worked out OK... :)

I have my follow-up on 3/31, then I get to go to a regular doctor. FINALLY I feel like I can go out and buy maternity pants - I am so bloated, and tired of wearing the same crappy 2 pairs of pants!!

Hi, may I join you? My due date is November 16th. I'm so excited and nervous! First time to ever see the 2 red lines on an HPT and dying to have my ultrasound on Monday March 23rd. I recognize a bunch of you from the lucky Jan/Feb/Mar board. :)

Wondercat: can't wait to hear your ultrasound results today!!!!!

charr: congrats to you to be getting nauseated, a very good sign. Maybe the only time in life a woman WANTS to be nauseous! Take good care of yourself!

SueQiwi: we are twins, in terms of symptoms right now! I'm peeing constantly, especially at night. I'm taking a daily afternoon nap, and I'm in bed by 8:30! The only other thing I would add is that I have an insatiable desire for BEEF in all forms: meatballs, meatloaf, steak, hamburgers-- whatever! Not like I was a vegetarian before all of this, but I never openly drooled at a commercial for a hamburger joint before! I'm def eating more meat.. thinking I could be anemic and this is my body's way of telling me?

HopefulinVa: I'm used to 5 days a week of high impact aerobics. it's been very hard adjusting to just walking--kind of boring. I went back to aerobics and just do low impact a couple times a week and I'm walking on the off days. All of the time off when I was stimming and in the 2ww has me in bigger pants! Not happy, since I know this belly is not weight for the baby, just extra for me to lose later. Ugh, looks like I'm 5 months already and I'm only 5 weeks!

excited-in-la: Congrats to a great second beta. We have our US on the same day! How far along will you be at your US? I'll only be 6 weeks-- i've read different things about when the heartbeat is visible. I hope we'll be able to see it! My RE said risk of miscarriage goes down to 5% if the heartbeat is visualized.

Hello to anyone I've missed!

Wondercat - I was so happy to read your post! Sounds like everything is on track!! Thank you also for sharing that info about your mom. That's encouraging to me.

Nursgator - Welcome to our group and congratulations!! I agree that's a great feeling to see a positive result on a HPT!

Wondercat~I am thrilled for you that your US was normal! It must be such a relief. I am counting the days until mine--but it's still a while--27 March! Now you can relax a bit and enjoy being pregaant. Do you feel more happy and excited now?

Nursgator~welcome to the board! I was also having the red meat hankering! But then the craziest thing happpened. DH and I went out to the finest restaurant in Wellington last Sat because his boss gave him a gift certificate. Well I was so excited for the yummy food and ordered the filet! When it arrived I took one look and one whiff and felt like I just couldn't eat that! I took a bite and almost barfed. We had them take it back and cook it longer (it was pretty rare) but I sitll couldn't eat it! My craving for red meat is gone now! I think I undestand what they say about pregnant ladies going off certain foods. Has this happened to anybody else yet?

Char
~I heard that half of normal pregnancies experience some bleeding. Let us know what you get the all-clear from your Doc.

I am definitly feeling naseous nowadays too. But I haven't actually thrown up yet--I just feel terrible and dont really want to eat. And I've gone off a few more foods like onions, egg yolks and of course the red meat.
