I recently had a failed IVF cycle and i am thinking of going for FET starting as soon as my AF starts. Please join this group if you are thinking of going for FET in Mar/Apr/May.
I am new to the whole Message Board experience so pardon me that I don't understand or use so many of the abbreviations that are out there!
My husband and I just had our second miscarriage at 10 weeks last month. We are now waiting for the detailed chromosome testing to come back. I'm almost 37 so who knows if there is anything we'll find or just old eggs. We are planning IVF in May and would love to have online buddies to go through this with! -Michele
I just picked a date for my FET cycle and transfer will be on 4/30. I am returning to this board after a long time away raising my now 17 month old daughter. I am very nervous and excited to be trying again. Luckily I have 6 embies frozen so we will be using those for our transfer. I hope it works and I don't have to have a retrieval again. This site was my saving grace during my IVF cycles and pregnancy and to this day I am still friends with some of the ladies I cycled with. Looking forward to cycling with you!

Welcome rikirees and mruddy. Looking forward to have all BFP's in this group. mruddy, its good that you have 6 embies frozen, thats a good number. Do you know their grade? coming to me i am still waiting for results from lab.
I'd love to join your group. My hubby and I are looking at a FET date of 4/8/09. I go in Monday for my baseline ultrasound. We tried to get started several weeks ago, but they found an ovarian cyst that I am trying to get rid of. At my last appointment on Monday of this week, it had shrunk dramatically, so they feel pretty certain it will be gone by Monday. If so, I get to get off the birth control pills and start the estrogen. Woo-hoo... We have 3 embies frozen (graded at BBB, BBB, & CBB) not really sure what all that means but they are 5 & 6 days blasts so the doctors are very optimistic. Look forward to keeping in touch with each of you.

Hello everyone. I found out yesterday that our first ivf try failed. I am 35 and have been ttc for nearly 2 years. I have a blocked tube. We put one grade A embryo for the first cycle (4AAA). I have 7 frozen (2 more grade As and 5 average to better-than-average). I would like to start a FET cycle as soon as AF is out of the way and I have a consultation with my doctor. I would like to join this group and pray for positive outcomes. Last day has been very difficult in digesting this news. I look forward to realizing our dreams ladies...
franchesca sorry about your BFN. You sound very optimistic! FET cycles are much easier on the body and hormones than a complete IVF cycle. Looking forward to being a support for each other. My embies have been frozen for exactly 2 years. I think I should do some research as to how long is ok to keep them frozen and still use them (does anyone know?), but my RE said they are good quality and worth trying again with, so we forge along...

I had a failed IVF cycle in 2006 - I had a terrible reaction to the sedation drugs and was very sick right up to transfer. I went into complete reverse when I got the negative and decided to stick my head squarely in the sand regarding infertility. Last year I started to feel I could maybe try again - we have two frozen embies and are going to give them a go - I won't have to do collection so I shouldn't be sick this time.
Our transfer date is 9th April - just like you rikirees!! Am strangely excited but also worried!! I'm sure you're all in the same boat! They are day three but unfortunately that is all I know - they don't give as much info regarding grading etc here in Ireland.
We're married 8 years this August and have been trying all that time with lots and lots of medical and natural methods. I am still quite young (will scream if anyone reminds of that again tho - will be 31 this year but it doesn't make it any easier). It's a long time to be disappointed but I have a good feeling about it this time!
Am sniffing away at the moment and will be stopping the OCP today so am well started on this cycle. Dying to know how you are all getting on and am especially delighted that I've found people going through exactly the same thing. I hope we can be great help for each other.
I am new to the message board so forgive me if i am a bit slow with the terminology.
I have a beautiful four year old daughter after 2 cycles of unmedicated iui using donor sperm and tried for another baby last year and fell pregnant after one cycle of iui which sadly resulted in a miscarriage. I have since had 4 cycles of iui and my doctor has now advised IVF.
I start my meds on 31 March (down regulation) and would love to hear from anyone as I feel a tiny bit lost!
Wishing everyone on this journey love and light. xxxxxxx
A friend of mine had two failed "natural" IUI and then changed clinic where they gave her triggers etc. They next two medicated IUI worked for her and she has two gorgeous little boys. They used the same donor for both so the boys are full brothers. I only mention this as we have travelled together through this and while the end goal has been the same we have had lots of different emotions to cope with so I understand (in a second hand sort of way) how you must be feeling.
IVF can be tough but there is a great pool of ladies here who have been through it and between us all I'm sure we can answer any questions or worries you might have.
I started down regulating on Wednesday so nearly a week now - am just feeling tired at the mo, even after a good nights sleep I'm still sleepy - and concentration isn't great other than that it's fine.
Is anyone doing assisted hatching on your frosties after the BFN from a fresh cycle? I only ask cuz the clinic yesterday to talk about $$ and they reminded me that I need assisted hatching (2 embies are hatched but they are going to hatch the other 4 and see which 2 are the best quality). It made me remember that my RE was right on about suggesting trying that after so many BFN's. It is worth bringing up with your RE as you are getting ready for your FET's.
I pick up my meds next week. I am kinda getting excited and nervous all at the same time. The "What if" is getting to me.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi! I'm on the March/April thread too, but most ladies there are doing full IVF cycles so I thought I'd join this thread too. Luckily I'm just doing a FET on 4/2/09. It's been a bit easier than the full regimen of drugs for my fresh IVF cycle in June 2006. I conceived my wonderful son during my first IVF, so I'm hoping I'll be as lucky with my first FET!
I'm currently still on Lupron and just started the estrogen pills to begin the "thickening" of the uterus. Thursday I have an u/s to see the progress of those estrogen pills. I have 7 frosties left and I plan to have two implanted again. I had two implanted the first time and got pregnant with twins, but I lost one around 10 weeks.
Good luck to all of you! This message board is a great place to go to find someone going through the same thing as you are!! It's been wonderful!

Welcome Sarah! 4/2 is just around the corner! So exciting!! I go for first us on 4/7 and start meds on 4/9, right around when you will be testing! I am not going to be on any lupron, maybe cuz I am on BC pills now. Do you know if your 7 frosties are all in 1 straw? Are you going to thaw all of them and then transfer the 2 best ones? And What about refreezing the ones you don't use. I am curious to know if I might have any left over after this transfer. Can the embies be refrozen for a third time, as is the case with mine. Hmm lots of questions.
