Hi Ladies! I have been MIA for a long time now, I have been trying to figure out if I want to go through IVF again. I thought my decision was made and it was a Big No, but after checking up on you guys I am kind of thinking I should try it again. I met with RE and he wants me to do it in April. He told me which protocol he was going to use but I don't remember name. He said instead of BCP I would take progesterone for 2 weeks and then add in estrogen 2 weeks. And I would be on 400 ius follistim in am and noon. and 5 vials of bravelle in pm with low dose hcg and lupron. So I will decide soon if I am going to do this again.

Chris... I am so happy that your 2 eggs fertilized. I really do hope and pray that your outcome will be wonderful. You really deserve your BFP after so long. Congrats and Good Luck hun.

Rosie... Well, I am glad that u r thinking of starting a new cycle again. After my first failed cycle I jumped right into the new one... this time around, I think I will just relax for a few months. Whatever u decide, I hope u get the results u r wanting. Good Luck.

aspotoftea.... Good Luck tomorrow with your Beta. I hope u get your BFP.

AFM... Just here once again thinking about what went wrong. I have to call my REs tomorrow to make an appointment so he can tell me what he thinks went wrong. I hope he has some good answers for me, I just dont get it!... And when I am ready to start my new cycle again, I do plan on going with the new RE, maybe I will get better results with him. I just ont get it. My RE said my uterus looks good, I dont have any kind of scarring or Endometrios or anything that would stop it.. my lining thickens up pretty good... So the only thing I can think of are the injections (POI or Estrogen). You need to have the right amount to help with implantation so maybe he is not prescribing the right amount therefore failing implantation. Here I go again trying to think of reasons why it failed again! Well, I guess I will see what happens. I am still thinking if I should try to do the FET of the single frosty I have. Maybe i will have better results. Any advise?

tabatha1975 - Do you mean belly as in the injection site or more internally how do the ovaries feel? I have never had much of a problem with the injection site with the gonal-f, or the repronex which was the other stim shot I did. I had about 6 basic sites in the area under my belly button, 3 on each side, and I would alternate from day to day to keep one place from getting too sore. (Top left, top right, middle left, middle right, etc.) If you mean how did my ovaries feel, by the end (I stimmed for 9 days) not good. I felt all bloated and achy. Most of my comfy pj bottoms are kind of low-waisted and I couldn't stand to wear them because it felt like way too much pressure across my belly. I had to borrow a pair of my husband's, which are much looser and sexily come up to pretty much my boobs...

I don't remember exactly, but I think 10 at 8 mm around day 4 sounds pretty good. You definitely don't want them getting too big too fast. I got the impression those little follies need to age more like a fine wine to develop properly.

I was on the brink of overstimulation my entire first cycle and they got fewer ova and of a lower quality than this last cycle that was just slow and steady.

Sooooooo I'm trying really hard not to flip out.

I caved and POAS. I did it three times- last Thursday night- faint, but positive.
Saturday morning- positive, and a darker line
This morning- positive again, and again darker.

There was no mistaking, all three were positive.

So I went for my beta this morning, and my RE called at 4:45. I could tell by the tone of her voice that something was wrong. She proceeded to tell me that the beta came back negative!

So of course I asked her, would I get three false positives with HPTs? And she then said she wanted me to come in again, in the morning, to retest.

I don't really know what to think or feel. It could be so many different things. DH and I are both just sort of feeling numb. We don't know what to think.

aspotofTea That happened to me. The only thing is that my test kept getting lighter instead of darker. By the time i went to beta my level only came back at 5.3... I know it wasnt my trigger because I tested 2-3xday until i saw it go to a complete negative. Lets just hope it was a lab error. Did you retest today?

i just tested again, with a different brand.

it showed positive.

My RE said it very well could be a lab error. I just have to wait until tomorrow, again, and see what the 2nd test comes back at.

I've read that HPT can pick up HCG levels after m/c, but that the HCG leaves the blood faster. Not that I believe everything I read, but I can't help but feel scared about all the possibilites.

In this case, I'm so glad I POAS, b/c if I had not, and she had called and told me the beta was negative, then my instructions were to stop all meds!

aspotofTea - I would think that is a lab error. If the HPT is picking up HCG then your Beta should be positive. Unless it was like Rosario said that the line was getting lighter. Wishing you the best of luck today.

Rosario - How your doing hun? I understand waiting it out with DH. It is a tough and life changing decision to leave him. Give it some time to see if it works out. Good luck with your tests.

Tabatha - I think your follie count is good. They don't want them to spring up too quickly. As far as being on the stims, I just got really bloated and my started to hurt after a week or so.

AFM - I go in for my transfer in 3 hours. I am just hoping that I still have 2 embies left and growing. I couldn't sleep at all last night so I am doing my transfer and going home to take a nap.

asapotoftea.... Weird!!! I am so sure and hoping for you that it is a Lab Error. Most defo. I am wishing u so much luck today and I hope they get a very good reading today.

Rosario.... I saw a movie yesterday. Not an Oscar but a Great Movie. I really recommend you take some time and watch it, and if DH watches it with you even better. But it will really really touch your heart. I have already watched it twice and I find myself crying my butt off at the end of the movie. I just cant control my tears and it litterally aches my heart. The name of the movie is called "FireProof" with Kirk Cameron. If you do watch it, tell me what u think. ALl I know is that it has touched my heart and I may just start doing things a litttle differently. Let me know what u think.
