Happy Friday Ladies!!!!

Sorry I'v been MIA, there's so much going on here I can't catch up :P

I've had a bad and busy week and didn't have much time to go on. 1st still no AF for me. I started spotting yesterday and little more today but still no full AF here. Called the nurse yesterday and she said to come in Monday for baseline u/s and start stims same day with or without AF. So, hopefully everything will be ok and I'll have the go ahead to start. I can't wait to decrease my Lupron its giving me major headaches and it burns like hell!!!

To add to my stress yesterday my job requested mandatory pay cut for all employees. Not something I wanted to hear after I got in debt for so much $$$ for this IVF shared risk program, and on top of that I'll still have to pay for all by b/w since I'm self pay... but I guess its better than being laid off...

Latie- 11 follies is great, I bet you'll get to trigger pretty soon :D

tabatha1975- i think 12.9 lining is good I hard the thicker the better, its better to have a thicker one for implantation. I'm not sure about the 3 lines but I bet those are the spots where your lining is the thickest and thats where they would put back the embryos at your ET.

wishfull27- lets dance together for AF lol, I need it to and it would be wonderfull if it would come by Sunday

Ct_Michele- Hello :D :D :D

For all other sorry I've missed you I hope everyone is doing well, this board its getting bigger and bigger!! Have a wonderful weekend!!!!

tabatha & Latie sounds like we're all in the same boat! :D I just had my u/s this morning. I'm on day 7 of stimming and I have 11 follicles currently above 10 mm and 4-5 more right around 9 mm. I don't remember all the numbers but I do know that I had a 13, 14 and 15 mm follicle. All but one of the 10+ mm are in my left ovary!! I'm starting to think my right ovary is just lazy :P I can definitely feel my left ovary working over time too. I can't imagine what it will feel like in the next couple days :? Anyway, RE says follies and uterus all look great! I have another u/s Sunday morning and I'm thinking I'll be triggering sometime between Monday and Wednesday.

Happy stimming ladies! Grow follies groooow!!! :D

Had 9 eggs retrieved this morning, a bit of a let down as I had 12 follies but I guess I can't complain at the age of almost 42!

I am just really hoping most of them fertilize and at least one is still ok on day 5!

Can't wait for my fertilization report......

Hi all. Got my bloodwork done and sonogram. They also did a mock transfer. I cramped so bad that they told me I will have to be on Valium the day of the transfer.

Start Lupron, menopur and Gonal F. Here we go!

Such a busy busy thread...I am enjoying trying to keep up with you all and keeping our tracker up to date...it is quite a challenge though :D

latino- do you start your stims today? When I did the mock transfer, I had some cramping too, but they told me to take motrin before coming, so that helped. I didn't think the real transfer was that bad.

sisi- congrats on 9 eggs. That is about what I had my first time, 11 follies, but 9 eggs, only 8 of them were viable...and I got a wonderful little girl from it, so I hope the same for you. Praying for a good fert report for you, when will they call?

babyluv- congrats on starting stims. It is such a long wait to get to this point, but now you are on your way!

cymplicity, sounds like you have a lot of good follies in there and right on schedule for trigger and ER.

dys- here is an af dance for you!
Image

Latie- how did ER go? Let us know when you feel up to it.

tabatha- I don;t know what the lines mean on u/s...but sounds like you have some good follies too...hope you get to trigger soon.

carolyn- and an af dance for you too my dear...
Image
Whew- I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find 2 cute dancing images, but what is better than a chicken dancing with sunglasses on?

Ok, gotta rrun, but I will catch up with you all later, and try to keep our list going.

Hi Ladies,

I am officially PUPO! My embryos looked really good but they weren't the quality needed for a 5 day transfer. The doctor said it would have stressed them out too much to wait until sunday. So, now the dreaded 2ww. I will get my first beta on 4/1.

Sisi1 - Congrats on your 9 eggs retrieved! Great number!

babyluv123 - Yay your stimming! Grow follies!

Wow everyone this board is going CRAZY!!!!!
Im so sorry to hear the bad news from babymex and melanie. you both seem to be in a great place so my heart really goes out to you both, best of wishes and luck for future.
Also wishes and love to everyone at all their stages, there is far too many to even try catch up!!
Now I have a question and need some advice which isnt directly ivf related but it is if that makes sense.

Just wondering how everyone keeps their relationship strong through all of this?

DH and I have a wonderful relationship but I can feel the change (better word needed but coldnt find one) in us since we have discovered we need this route to make a baby. And I guess Im worried because we havent even "started" yet.
Because our situation is male factor I know that he is having a tough time with things, but he wont talk about it, you know men. All he says is that "its different for men". I know that he is blaming himself and going through all that emotion but then I just feel kinda angry with him for not just talking to me about how he feels and I dont know how to be there for him in the right way. How did you ladies' DH feel through this time, how did you support them and love them? I dont feel differently about him at all I just think that we are lucky to have not been told that there is no option and I dont want to see us drifting apart.
This all sounds doom and gloom and its totally not,we are not on the brink of divorce or anything even close, I just dont know if i am sensitive enough to his needs?
Sorry if its a bit heavy I just figured we are discussing som many other personal matters that you all wouldnt mind thanks for reading/listening. ANY advice much appreciated.
xx  :?

hope, I'm sorry to hear about your woes with DH. We don't have the male factor in my situation so I can't say I've had experience. I can say though from me being on the other side of things (DH is "perfect" and I'm the one with blocked tubes) I was a little down on myself initially but what helped was DH carried on as if it were no big deal. He didn't make me feel like something was wrong with me. It was more like just one of those things. Occassionally if I whine or even joke about all the meds and injections, he'll stop and remind me how appreciative he is that I'm going through all of this for us. We also use a LOT of humor to lighten up the situation  I'm sure for a man it's 10 times worse and they just need to feel as "normal" as possible. The more down, worried or concerned you seem, the more he is going to blame himself for the situation and even your mood. If he's never been a talker (about his feelings) I wouldn't press him to talk about it. I'm sure other ladies with male factor will have better advice, but that's just my 2 cents

I hope you and everyone else are having a lovely weekend!

Hope,
Good morning. We too have male factor infertility (I also have endo..so that does not help). My DH was so upset when we first found out and he too became quiet and would not talk about it. When did you find out? It took a good week before my DH came around and decided to do everything he could to improve the situation. In our case, he had lots of sperm, but only about 15% were actually "swimming". We decided to do what we could. He cut back on the beer (he is german, so that was tough!) and we started him on vitamins. Q10, stresstabs and vitamin E. He took them everyday and his sperm motility improved. He has to know that you are there for him, that you will support him. Are there things you can do to improve the sperm quality? We ended up with 20 eggs last year and 15 fertilized with ICSI - so all hope is not lost to you. I feel that my DH has done his part and now it is up to me. We have just completed our final FET (3 embies transfered yesterday)......waiting now for 2 weeks to pass...ugh!
Anyway, in our situation; it has been a long road (TTC 3.5 years) and I feel closer to him now that ever before! I hope that helps you!

Best of luck to everyone!
Paula

Hello you all:

hope2beamummy - It's very hard for men to go through this. In my case I have Endo and my DH has low count and motility. When we found out about his problem (way before we found out about mine) he was so down, he offer me the divorce. He told me he couldn't imagine that I will not have a baby because of him. I told him I love him, no matter if we have babies or not. It's a problem of the both of us. Then, I took some time away from fertility doctors, appointment or even talk about that. I did everything possible to make him feel how much I love him. I tried to improve our sex life. Sex is not for conceiving, is for enjoy your partner, your love, if a baby comes because of it, fabulous, but try not to think about it. I know is hard. But then, he was the one with the idea of IVF, and he is all onboard with this. He has his days, for example, in my last appointment the RE told us to take a sperm test on tuesday to freeze it, just in case the one of the day of ER is not good enough. My DH was angry, don't know if it was with the RE or himself. But then he relax and he's all PMA. So my advice, make him feel like he is the only one for you, and Sex is not for conceiving is for showing that love to each other.

Latino - I wouldn't worry about the Valium, I'm going to use it too. The RE told it is to relax the uterus.

AIM - Congratulation on being PUPO, Legs up!!!

AFM I am in my 4th day of sttims and other than the occational headache, little tired, I haven't feel much. I am a little bloated but not much. I was a little worried about gaining weight, because its easy for my to gain weight, I'm not overweight but not skiny either. But as today haven't gain a pound, al contrary, have lost 2 pounds ¿?. I think is because of all the water, gatorade and proteins I've been drinking.

Congratulations to all of you going to ET this week.
