I've Escaped!!!!

Post by Nikola »

Hello everyone

Its me! I've escaped.....well I've actually been allowed out of hospital for a few hours to spend with Arthur and Jeremy and dh! Its lovely to be home - even if its only for a few hours!

I'm sat with a drip in my hand (I look like a loony who has literally done a runner from the hospital!) and it hurts to type, so I'll keep this short and sweet!

I just wanted to say thank you for all your lovely messages - they really help to keep me going. Things can get pretty boring when you are sat in bed all day. Dh brings me my emails and postings from here each day and after he has gone I sit and read what has been happening.

Although nothing prepared me for logging on today and reading about katelyns funeral and also caroline's tragic news. Why does this keep happening to us all? Its really not fair.

It has made me appreciate that whilst I'm bored silly I know I'm in the best place being in hospital and I will be good and well behaved for the rest of the time I'm in there!

I'm being well looked after - the staff at our hospital are brilliant. I have a great room and I all my mod-cons - I haven't managed to log onto my computer from my bed yet....I'm working on that! Although I have made enquiries as to whether its ok to use my phone from my room and it looks like this is going to be ok. So at least I'll have contact with the outside world!!

One spooky thing - I was talking to my fertility nurse (whose office is the floor below my room!) and she admitted to reading all our posts on here - good job I wasn't saying anything rude about her!! As if!! She knew all about all of you - it was wierd! So if you are reading this Peta - stop being so blinkin nosy and get on with some work!!!!!

Anyway, my hand is aching now, not to mention my back....I'm going to sit in my new rocking chair (that came the day before I got whisked away!!) and watch some tv before I have to go back to the asylum.

Take care all of you and remember not to take a single second of our pregnancy for granted. We are only pregnant for a short time and we should try and enjoy every second of it!

Good luck to Fiona lk for Xanders birth next week!

Good luck to Diane with your C-S next week.

Its a shame you are not both in my hospital I could come and say hello!!!!!

Love to everyone else too.
nikola.xxxxxxx

ps Traci - hair and beauty to the stars, could you please come and do something with my hair (on my head!) not to mention the legs that need waxing and the nails that need a manicure!!!

I'm hoping they are going to let me out again next Sat and I can make an appt to have everything seen to - honestly I look like a right sight! If I didn't look like Fizz from Corrie before - I bloody do now!

Nik and Peta if you are reading this

Glad to see you are both well!!! N - there is no way you could deteriate that much to look like Fizz - no way on earth - if you have then might I suggest the plastic surgery ward.

Been very quiet without you hasn;t it girls? Even I have been working all week - no bad influences.
Hope the drip has wine in
Miss you loads
Love

Hey Nikola I am glad to see some news from you! Even though Tracey has been doing a great job keeping is up to date with your progress (I fully agree on the need for leg waxing!), the board is not the same without you (maybe your nurse can start posting instead? :) ). It's great that you've been allowed out but even better to be in and as safe as a hospital can make us! I am counting on you to give me a positive example of how long you can keep those twins in!
love,

Hi Nikola

Glad to hear from you and to see that you are not too bored. That is my worst nightmare someone i know logging on to this website as i am always talking about it and all of you on it.

I hope youget those legs waxed soon. As i am going on Holiday in May i will have to stop shaving all my bits soon (my waxer likes about 4 wks growth)and i am dreading it especailly as i have started aquanatal classes so i hope no one notices but at least i have a towel covering me up until i get to the pool edge. You feel abit sexy if all your bits are trimmed.

Take care

Helen

take more than a bit of waxing and trimming to make me feel sexy at the moment - have a french breton stripy top on today and look like an M&M on legs - a giant one!

Just to let you all know that poor Nikolas plans have been scuppered. Her consultant has found out she was allowed out on Sunday and has kippered well and truly any plans for any more free passes at all!!!!!!!!!!!
This has upset N dreadfully as you can all imagine and she has had a tearful time of it so we need to cheer her up with some messages. To add insult to injury they are not allowing her a phone or laptop - and she can only sneak outside against rules to try and use her mobile but this is not really allowed. I think she has Atilla the Hun in there keeping an eye!!!
She is fed up and upset as you can imagine so wanted you all to post some smiley things for her.

Hope you are all well - Nikola take note they have said the boards are mature without you so can't be me that has been downgrading them all this time

Nicks,
Just take care and hang in there....and as you said, remember to take nothing for granted.....be thankful that they are still alive inside you and try and keep them there as long as possible.
Take care.

Hi Nikola,

Well I ain't been on the IVF site since the 13/03/04 little Alex is keeping me so busy. It was lovely to see an update from you, and like you say least being in hospital they can keep an eye on you and least your getting some rest. You made me laugh because you said you was going to keep the post short with having the drip in your hand but it was a long one as always. Really miss our banter on here about postings and being the top 10 it makes me smile. The amount of time I get to come on here is not fair, I have only just logged on and Alex as opened his eyes at me so I best be going again.

Now I want to say, you make sure you get as much rest as possible, when your little ones are here you will be running round like an headless chicken.

Love
Shell.

Nikola...Nikola...Nikola.... :? :? :?

Are you sure that your DH has not arranged all this to stop you going on another spending spree.....!!!!!!!

I know mine would...

I know its upseting, I bloddy hate hospitals, but you are there for a reason and it won't be long now, just try and keep you chin up and your legs, well not your legs upto your chin I mean, I'm currently looking like a weeble, so if I fall over I will just bounce right back up.

Still measuring fundus 2 weeks ahead, and seeing the midwife every 2 weeks now, she comes to the house which is great, seeing the consultant on the 6th April, to discuss birth plans ect....

Which hospital are you in?????
Maybe we could start a SET NIKOLA FREE CAMPAGIN.like they did for Derdrie on Corrie.

Anyway you take care and keep the cork in, our bubs are not quite cooked just yet.
My Neighbour bought me a teashirt with Bun In The Oven (cute).

Take care
Love Wibbs

P.S Thanks Tracy S for keeping Nikola informed, hope you are well and are also resting and taking things easy. The board is not the same without you and Nik winding each other up.
You take care aswell.

Am doing ok thanks - the odd flap as this is the time I lost Oliver and keep thinking these pains are my uterus contracting not baby moving.

Am babysitting N's business - all very interesting as don't have her laptop and database between us!!! Mind you get a chat with all her clients! Great fun and then have to text her Dh and email him so I can get info off N - the whole process takes around a week!

Glad you are ok - keep us posted. Very quiet ont he boards these days - all very mature too - yikes - not sure what to do with myself - I feel like a lost sheep!

You spelt Campaign like champagne! Are you getting withdrawl symptoms?

I have something to send Nikola too. Is she still at the same hospital address you gave me the other week?

Nikola - My Buddy

You MUST behave yourself. I would hate for anything to happen to you or your darling babies. Your consultant will probably be bald before those two make an appearance. If he isn't already that is!

I am taking each day at a time and it doesn't seem to be getting any easier at the mo. I am still so flipping angry and peed off that so much seems to be dumped at my doorstep. It's so bloddy unfair.

I am in cahoots with Marcus about starting a new forum for girls who have lost babies so it should keep me busy for a bit and keeping Katelyn's memory alive. Tracey has been absolutely great. So supportive and a good friend even though we haven't spoken yet.

You take care and look after you and the bubs. I bet the dogs miss you!

Lots of love Dagny xx
