Sara--I'm sorry about the sleep issue. My kiddos still sleep together, but I do know of many twins who were separated early. I'd try to separate them and let them cry it out. Good luck!

Kimi--We have been busy! Beautiful weather here, so we've been outside a ton and it REALLY wears my kids out...sleep heavenly sleep, come on! :)

Well, I have not been enjoying the great weather outside, sadly! The girls and their naps....what else is new?! Today I will take them on a walk though before dinner....Brooke is annoying the crap out of me!!! She keeps rolling over onto her tummy at night (which is fine) but then at like 5AM she wakes up screaming wanting off! She really needs to learn how to get back onto her back....any ideas on how to teach babies this?! She woke up Kenzie too, mind you Kenzie was in the living room!! Other wise, they would have slept through the night and I would have gotten a full nights rest. I think Brooke got the hint last night that I was annoyed and will not come to her rescue. After I flipped her twice, I made her cry it out the next time she flipped and she passed out. These little girls need to stop waking me up in the middle of the night! lol. It did not help that DH and I were up talking/crying until midnight working out our issues. We needed it though, big time!

Probably in about a week I will move the girls back in the same room for the night. Honestly I only separated them so I would not have to hear Kenzie on the monitor so it is not for waking each other up issues.

Hi Ladies!
So far no luck at night. Last night was AWFUL!!! Scarlett seems to have a cold now! Errr! I am sure I will look back and barely remember how difficult this is, right??
Thanks again for all the great advice...it really helps having the support.
How are all of you? New babies soon, exciting! It will be a piece of cake after having twins, trust me! I look back and wonder how I ever thought oone was hard!
Twinmommmy, I remember playing on the floor alot with my kids and rolling them front to back, back to front. They get it pretty fast and that might help her to learn it faster...
More later! Sara

Suga--sorry about the bad night! The only advice I have is to make her do LOTS of tummy time! While she's awake, she might have the strength to figure out how to roll over...and if she doesn't, she'll wear herself out trying! Good luck. It will happen in time.

Sara--sorry you had a bad night too. If it makes you feel any better, so did I! We have a small house, so I can hear the kids in the middle of the night. (don't even mess with the monitor anymore). DH and I take turns sleeping with earplugs so at least one of us gets a good nights sleep. Well, last night, Ellie was moaning and wimpering for a little while around 3 am. Didn't last long, but it was enough to wake me from a dead sleep. (DH didn't hear a peep thanks to those plugs) Took me another 1 1/2 hours to get back to sleep. So frustrating! Hoping to catch a few zzzz this afternoon!?

Di--thinking of you. Isn't your appt this week?

Hi all

Yes, I did have my visit. It seems that I will fly down to sydney (one hour flight) to see him on the 4th May. I will have a biopsy and some bloodtests to make sure there are no immunisation issues and we will go from there. If all goes well will probably have a transfer sometime towards the end of this year. Not really thinking about it as I have so much to do atm.

Waves to everyone else.

Hi All,

Di -- by the rate the time is passing by these days, your appts will come in no time! Good luck. Will be thinking of you!

Suga -- dear sorry about the night awakening. Your girls are not letting you off hook easily, aren't they?! The good thing is that this is only temporary. Your girls will be pro at rolling over both ways in no time and that won't be a problem at all in a short while. I wake up at 4:50 AM but I tend to stay up late, too. I hardly get my Me Time so I spend some time reading magazine in bed way past the time I should be snoozing. What can I do? We all need it.

Sara -- Hope it's getting better for you. My son screamed for a while last night and we could not figure out why?? He was not hungry, not hot or cold, gave him Iboprofen just in case he's cutting teeth, yet he was just hysterical. He eventually slept but then woke up briefly crying around 2 am. Of course, that woke me up and I couldn't sleep much anymore. Babies...

Buckeye -- glad the weather is nicer over there. Sounded like your winter was particularly mean this year. We've never bothered with the monitor, either, because our rooms are small and my kids got lungs!

Looking forward to going on Mat leave next month. I know I am going to move around too much just because I am free. I do have a lot to get ready though and some appointments for the kids so it's a good thing. Sean's speech is delayed and we are going to get him evaluated. Of course, he's bilingual so we have to take that into consideration.

Well, considering Alyson didn't take the afternoon nap, she's playing beautifully by herself! What a good girl. I have to give her a big hug for being so good.

Take care everyone!

Ok, where I have been? In my spare moments, the few I find, I have been on that darn facebook! It's hard to pick my places to type with such little time but it's been fun catching up with old friends. Wait! I am assuming anyone noticed I was gone!

Kimi~ Time is flying for you! Will you still take maternity leave and then quit? Good luck! I am getting huge so I know how you are feeling!

Di~ Good luck to you! I am very good feelings about it! I hope it works. Keep us posted!

Kholtan, I have not missed you but I can stalk you on facebook too! haha! jp!! I need to see pictures of your "hugeness" :)

I am making the move of putting Kenzie back in her room. I ordered her the mesh crib bumper from WallyWorld. I came to the conclusion that one of them wakes me up. This morning it was Brooke talking at 3AM....I dunno why she started!!! So I just have to endure this time period and turn the monitor down until they are done talking.

Suga--I agree...Kholtan and Kimi need to post preggo pics! Oh, and as for your chatty gals? Can you just turn the monitor off? Or, would you be a worried mess? My DH finally made me turn it off one night...best thing I ever did. The kids will get your attention if they REALLY need you.

Ok, I have to admit. . . .we never used our monitor. Not even once! My house is pretty small (1850 square feet) and I figured if they really get to whaling I'll hear them! Bad mommy! Bad mommy!! They also never slept in our room at all but their room is right next door. My peeps have also always been in the room together but rarely in the same crib. I only put them in the same crib for a couple months to nap here and there.
Good luck Suga with the bumper, monitor, room situation!

My blog page is being funny today! Then again, it could be the hammering of nails as dh builds his office!!! Seriously, cannot believe my kids can sleep thru a construction crew with nail guns going off like crazy!!!

Regarding pics. . . I KNOW I should take some. . .BUT, I HATE pictures of myself! I am one of the least photogenic people on the planet and have to take 100 pics before one turns out even ok. HOWEVER, I will try to post my hugeness! This baby acts like he's all alone in there with plenty of room to grow or something!

Kholtan: If you take a picture of yourself then I will take one of me! I am the same way lol.

As far as the girls go, we do live in a small apartment but the hubby MUST sleep with this loud fan on so I can hear almost nothing thus why the monitor stays on. Mine never slept in the same crib nor in our room. I slept in theirs up until not too long ago but I decided to make the move back in with the husband to save our relationship lol.

HI gals! Well, its 5:03 in the morning, cant sleep when the kiddos are too loud and cant sleep when they are too quiet!! I just cant win!! I have been reading the board daily, but havent posted in a while. So...I have got some catching up to do!!!

Suga~You asked me about 5 pages back what the cause of our infertility is...I have diminsished ovarian reserve (high FSH). I was told I have the egg count of a 38-40 year old. Bummer! Only had 5 follicles during our cycle. RE told us IVF probably would not work for us and egg donation would probably be our best option. A tough pill to swallow at 28...but what did they know!!!! Also, your blog has been cracking me up lately. I busted out laughing at the poop on the head story!! Totally something that would happen to me! We are taking the kids to the beach in May. Ignorance is bliss, which is probably the only reason we have planned this trip. I am sure a similar story will come from the trip down!!! And I think you should post a pic, I am sure you look beautiful!

kholtan~I thought you had gone into hiding OR facebook had sucked you in!! I have not signed up for FB yet, I am trying not to!! ALthough, DH's grandmother was in the hospital last week...she told the family by posting on their wall in FB!!! A 78 year old woman on facebook...cracks me up. NOw, I feel like I am getting lapped in the techno department by a grandmother...what is the world coming to!!!! Sorry the kids have been sick. Sick or not, they are still cute as buttons!!

tolbee~ You are getting SO close!! Wow, 4 kids!! I cannot imagine! It is not surprising you dont have the nesting instinct, who has the time!! I am sure materinty leave will be a welcome relief! And what a gift that you are raising your kids bilingual. I can see how Sean would be a bit behind the curve with two languages, but my gosh, he will be leaps and bounds ahead in no time.

Di~ Hang in there, we are all thinking about you!!

buckeye~ aka Jillian!! I am happy to report DH and I joined a gym last week. I went twice (should have been more) and am 6 pounds from where I was pre-pregnancy. I know, I know, you gave suga tough love...but it helped me too! :-) Only one problem, I just found a gourmet cupcake shop in the new neighborhood...god, I love red velvet!!!

sara~ Hope your nights are getting better. We are at 11 weeks and doing fairly well, I am just waiting for that to change! I was expecting things to change at 4 months...your story confirmed my expectations. Hang in there, it can only get better, right?!!!! I say that to you, only to remind myself!!!!

Ok, i am going to try and catch some zzzz's. Oh and I am very excited...we are buying the BOB stroller tomorrow (or today now)!!! We went to REI last weekend and they are 20% off until the end of March. THat is deal you cant really refuse! Talk soon ladies!

Courtney: Since your DH is going with you on the trip I think you will be fine! It is not horrible I just hate when they get off schedule as it takes them a week to get back on schedule and I need a schedule!!! Yes I look back at the journey now and laugh. Honestly though I was not too stressed out and just took it and was happy we made it home safely!! Yeah I know what you mean, they told me I would have an almost impossible time getting pregnant even with IVF and I was 23 at the time! So if the 2 frozens do not take I dunno if I can do another fresh cycle as it is too expensive and my body did not respond well. I only got 8 eggs 2 which were put in me at 3 days and 2 made it to day 5 to be frozen. I had meds that they give a 40 year old!

And Courtney, if you are anything like your pictures on your blog I am sure you do not need to lose that much weight! You are beautiful!

The girls still wake up at 4 or 5 am and chat....sooooo annoying but I hear a lot more that a lot of kids go through it and outgrow it. Most say babies do it around 5 or 6 months (which that is where mine are adjusted?) so I dunno! They need to outgrow it though lol.
