yay- i got the call, start bcp's today, stop them on 4/6 with bw and u/s...so looks like we'ra a go for april. I just put in the call to dh's dr so we can coordinate the fresh TESE w/the cycle.

Ya know, i figured out that if I stay on track and respond the same as last time, my beta will be just a couple days before mothers day...wouldn't that be nice? I will also have my b-day during my 2ww...so no celebratory b-day drink for me!

Are alot of you doing acupunture? I have an appt. tomorrow for the first time for that. I'm hoping this helps!
I'm currently stimming right now. I started on Monday, 3/23 and my first Ultrasound isn't until 3/30. Is that a long time? I see alot of other girls seem to go in for an US alot earlier...around day 4 or so.

Michelle- Glad you got to start your BCP's today! Best of luck!!

Hope all of you are doing well. Is anyone else here from Southern CA?

ct_michelle - when is your birthday? if all goes well, i'll be in my 2ww for my birthday as well :) it looks like my ER is the week after yours.

The books I got were The Couples Guide to IVF and IVF - The Wayward Stork (links below). The first one I had picked up in a bookstore this weekend and decided I wanted to read it and the second one was a shot in the dark, so I'll let you guys know if they're any good.

It would be good if there was sort of a Chicken Soup for the IVF Soul - a compliation of experiences.

I got in touch with someone I know who went through IVF at the same clinic a couple of years ago and it was really great to touch base with her. Her and her husband have been helping us navigate the ropes at the clinic and they have been such a good resource for this.

I think I'm going to get out of town this weekend and have some fun before starting lupron next week. Wow, it's coming up fast!!

Hey Ladies--

I was wondering if I could join you? I am going for my baseline u/s and bw tomorrow morning and hoping to start stims friday. DH and I have a 9 week old baby boy from our last cycle, but we found out that insurance is changing so we are going to do our retrieval and freeze the embryos. Getting the embies is our hardest part. We cannot due ICSI due to my funky eggs, and DH has 1%morphology so we hope that some fertilize without ICSI. We had three at our last cycle, so hopefully DHs boys are up to it! Once we know more about the insurance then we will know about our transfer!

CT Michele-- cycling together again!!!!!!!

Good Luck to all you ladies! I'll try to read and catch up on everyone!

Melanie, I think I'm doing a 3 day transfer. I did a 3 day in 2006 when I got pregnant with my son. All of the embryos were frozen at 3 days and there are no plans to let them grown to a blast, so I think it is a 3 day. I don't have any clue what day of my cycle this is because I was in an extra week or two holding pattern to coordinate the FET with my spring break. I quite possibly started my AF at the very end of January. I just do whatever the docs tell me and "let everything else go."

Michele, YEAH!!! Finally, a start! That's so exciting! Sounds like you definitely have your plate full with everything, but maybe you're like me and actually enjoy some craziness! I seem to work at my best when I have a lot of things going at once!

Latinosunshine, You'll know if you have OHSS! Especially if you get it bad. Rapid weight gain and utter uncomfortableness from bloating will be your main clues....possible nausea too. Good luck!

Lee, I'm so sorry about your BFN. I'm sure this "break" away from fertility and baby talk will help tremendously. You and your DH are the only ones who can know what next step is right for you. Good luck!

Kline, I'm so envious of your time off work! Congratulations! I really shouldn't complain because I'm just 3 months away from a 3 month summer break, but with the stress of infertility, work seems trivial! Enjoy your time off! Good luck with stimming!

Trying for another angel, I've not tried acupunture before. I've heard nothing but good things about it, though, so good luck. I'm far from CA. I'm from MN! We've got really crappy weather this week, so I'm wishing I were from CA! Good luck with your first IVF! I got pregnant with my son on my FIRST IVF, so it can happen!!!

AFM, I'm hot flashing like crazy today! That's really pleasant in front of a classroom of teenagers! U/S tomorrow morning!!!

Hi:

Michelle - YUPII, finally you are getting in the boat.

Kline - Happy sttiming

A little question. I started Ganirelix yesterday, today was my second shot, and I feel a little weird. My cheeks are red, I'm getting a headache, a little nauseus and in a bad mood. So tired too. Is that because of the meds or is it in my mind?

Sari-

I also got red on Ganirelix....I think it is a side effect. I dont know about the mood thing, but I'm sure its probably due to the meds. Everyone reacts differently. But definitely the redness, I remember calling my doctor about it.
