Hey Tabatha! I'm here! :D Congrats on your 16 eggs!! I'm back from ER and pretty crampy (and sleepy) too. I'm actually loving the sleep though. It's my favorite passtime :D Anyway, I had 14 eggs retrieved, yaay! I don't think they told me the size and if they did I don't remember. I literally had to ask DH 4 to 5 times how many eggs they retrieved...powerful drugs  . Transfer is still scheduled for Sunday.

Hazel, No worries about OHSS currently. They are basing it all on how I feel and so far so good so we're still on for Sunday.

Tabatha let us know if you're doing a 3 day or 5 day.

Now, back to sleep :)

Very busy board! I was too busy to check at work today, so I can only catch up with a few now!

Hazel
, I'm so amazed and intrigued by the laws in the UK regarding how many embryos you can implant. My clinic is very conservative and I'm quite positive that 3 is the absolute maximum but you have to be over 40. 35 < under it's a 2 maximum. That stupid octomom's doctor makes it necessary for laws though. I'll be transferring two next week and I feel completely at ease with that number. My doctor really calls the shots, so it's not like I have too much of a choice.

cymplicity, Nice work on the ER. I retrieved 14 eggs back when I had my fresh cycle. I believe 11 fertilized! At any rate, I'm working with 7 frosties now three years later!

kim, anxious to hear your results tomorrow. Crossing my fingers...

AFM, I had my u/s this morning and my lining "looked beautiful" and my ovaries "were quiet"! I'm all set to do my FET next Thursday, 4/2! I'll just continue on with the meds. I'll be happy to be done with those. I'm still suffering with occasional headaches and I started with a few hot flashed yesterday! Overall, this FET road has been MUCH easier than the fresh cycle, so I'm definitely counting my blessings and feeling for all of you out there stimming!

Have a good night!

Well, it's time for me to come out of hiding...

Hazel, I'm sorry you wasted any time crossing anything for me. I started spotting on Monday afternoon. It picked up on Tuesday and started being bright red by Tuesday evening. Then by Wed I had full flow. The clinic said I could get my beta done on Wed, but I just couldn't get out of work early enough (I was stuck making up work I missed for ER!) So, I went for beta this am, but wont get the official BFN until tomorrow. I cried on Tuesday and was just crushed. I had a feeling that my embies didn't stick - in fact on Tues. the 17th I had my usual PMS-y symptoms that I get about a week before AF rears her ugly head. After all that's come out of me today (sorry about the TMI, but I'm shocked - the flow is WAY more than normal for me!) I am extra sure that I am a BFN.
Sorry that it took me so long to let you in on this. I just didn't think I was strong enough to hear the "it's not over until fat lady sings" stuff. I also didn't want to drag anyone down being sorry for myself. I seem to have come to terms with it now though and am ready to move forward.
I'm going to ask for an appointment with the RE and then decide what to do. I would like to try again, but I want to see how optimistic my RE is about trying a different protocol and possibly get some other opinions. We're out of pocoket for everything, so as you can imagine, we won't be trying too many times!

Sorry for the lack of personals - I need my offcial BFN to get some closure and then I promise I'll be back to cheer you all on!

kimbob, I'm so sorry about your likely BFN. :( I hope your RE will come up with another protocol that will be more successful next time. Did you have any frosties left? Thinking about you...

Kim- So sorry about your results....I know its tough. Take the time you need to get over this loss.
 We really need someone on this thread to get a BFP soon. Since I have signed on, we've been 3/4 BFN's, with the 1 BFP turning out to be a pregnancy attached to intestines. We really need to pray to the BFP Gods to get their act together :)
Well here's hoping you ladies have a nice evening,

Melanie and Sarah,
Thank you both for your earlier good wishes. I missed the last page before I posted - oops! I just don't function so well when I'm distracted.
Thank you as well for your kind words.
Melanie - you're right - this is a loss. It's not the same as losing a fetus, but it's still a loss. A loss of the embryos and all the hope that they were wrapped up in. I think it's easier to cope with when I acknowledge that. Thank you.

I am very excited that so many people are 'in the thick of it' right now! I am cheering for each and every one of you!!

Nicole, Aims and Sisi - you can be our hat trick of BFPs to get this board going! :D :D

Lee thank you for your charm and your continued support!

Michele, thank you for keeping us organized - I don't know how you do it!

Wishing everyone success!

Kim

Kim,

I assume by Nicole, you mean me. :) I never thought of myself as a possible "hat trick"

I've never thought about a BFN as a loss, but it makes total sense, and feels that way to me, even though we haven't gotten to IVF yet. We are on track for the next cycle to be a clomid/IUI/progesterone (I have early spotting and sometimes mid-cycle spotting) course of treatment. If that fails, I believe they will want me to go onto the 'gonadotropin' or hormone injection route as they explained you begin to 'plateau'. ugh.

I haven't tested since Tuesday which was cycle day 27 and took my last prog suppository Monday night but still haven't started!!! there's a part of me that thinks maybe I could be pregnant? What do you guys think? Am I just putting myself on, or should I test yet again?? The nurse said Wednesday with my progesterone level at a 73, I would definitely have a period, that things would start soon enough. The idea of having to wait (for the meds that make your menses begin) yet one more week past this coming Tuesday makes me nauseous.

Any input/advice/opinions are appreciated.
