High Beta?

Post by TwinMom2Boys »

At 12dp3dt my beta was 981 and then at 19dp3dt my beta was 11897! I feel like these are extremely high! I asked my dr yesterday at my appointment if those numbers meant multiples and he said he could not tell...could be 1 strong singleton or could be three!

I have twin boys that turned 3 last month and want another child but I am concerned about getting multiples again. I stressed this to the dr that did the transfer (different dr in practice than the one I usually see) was pretty confident that transferring 3 embryos at my age (39) would most likely result in just one. I must have asked at least 3 times if she was sure....

Did anyone possibly have numbers like these that resulted in a really strong singleton? Or should I start wrapping my head around the idea of more multiples? My husband is already trying to come up with a name for the reality show for TLC :)

My first beta 10dpt 5dt was 621 and I was pregnant with twins. But we ended up losing one of the babies at 7 weeks. Your numbers seem pretty high to not be multiples but you just never know.

I had numbers in the triplet range for my last child, a singleton! So it is possible. I have two year old twins, so I understand being spooked about doing multiples again.

Update, and let us know how it turns out.
