Very faint lines in HPT

Post by Tara2009 »

I am in 10dpt. I was trying very hard not to do the HPT. But today I gave in. I tried the E.P.T kit. It is supposed to show a plus sign if positive and a minus sign if negative. When I tested, first I saw only a horizontal blue line. I was disappointed. But seconds later, I saw another faint blue vertical line making it a positive sign!! But the vertical line was very very faint light blue.

Should I take it as positive? Anybody had this experience?

Tara, I say that sounds like a big congrats to you!!!!!!! I think that they say you should wait 10 days to be sure the trigger shot was out of your system-I started testing on day 8-negative-so I knew that the shot was out of my system, by day 10-It was a positive but only under the BRIGHTEST of lights at a certain angle, then slowly over the next couple of days, they got darker. But DON'T be disappointed, they didn't ever get real dark right away-So I ended up buying the clearblue easys that said-PREGNANT-so I didn't think my eyes were playing tricks on me!! Best of Luck to you-I am now 38 wks, 4days with my little bundle of BOY!!! Jennifer

Tara,

That sounds exactly like my first HPT this cycle - I even used EPT, too. At first, nothing, then a little something that faded again after a few hours. I did it twice, the second time in the middle of the night and I woke my husband up just to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. By the morning there was just the one line. But they kept getting stronger... and last week we saw our little bean's heartbeat!

Sounds like congratulations are in order! :)

I had the same doubts and went through my entire supply of HPTs because of those faint + lines! I even took the tests apart to have a better look. Result - I'm 32 weeks pregnant with my baby girl. Good luck!!!
