Hi CT_Michelle, thanks for inviting me to join here. I'll be starting my stimulation on April 11. Most probably my egg transplant will be 3rd week of April.

Nicole (ianmichael)- Freakin' unbelievable! I just can't get over what has been happening on this thread. You are the second person to go from bfn to bfp! Just like babymex, you were off progesterone waiting for af and suprise...a bfp! Just like the lady from jan/feb/mar whose beta was negative but then got positive hpt's. This is all truly incredible, and I am so happy for you. You must have been a late implanter, and I am so glad you decided to take that last hpt. We will anxiously be awaiting for second beta.

nicole- as far as your beta number is concerned...i don't know much about iui's, but i think your day of insemination would be the same as the day of egg collection when counting days past ovulation(dpo). If that is right, then if i counted right, you would be 21 dpo, and 282 puts you right at the low normal range for a singleton according to the online calculators i use. here are the tools again for everyone:

http://babymed.com/tools/pregnancy/hcg/
(just make up a # for your second beta so you can see where you fall on the chart)

 cymplicity27: A little about my GI stuff- When I had ER I took the pain meds (which I'm never afraid to take) and got very constipated. I then was trying things like smooth move tea which is a Chinese style laxative tea. Well it either worked too well, or I had a stomach thing, but hard to tell. I did a 3dt, and by then I was getting diarrhea. I was extremely bloated for a week after ER, and my stomach problems continued for about 4 days. I really can't say whether it was related to ER, constipation, Lax Tea (only took once though) or just a stomach thing. Wish I could tell you more, but not really sure which thing to pin it on. I am glad for my upcoming FET, I won't have my body recovering from the ER, since my bowels didn't seem to like that too much.
Either way, don't let visits to MR. Toilet damper your wonderful day. You had a great ET and that's the best news of the day!
 IanMicheal: Congrats on your BFP! Your DH must have had better than 0% morphology for your IUI! The good sperm did the job- YEAH  I'm really happy for you. Now Tuesday will feel like a million years from now. Hang in there.
 SBR- Just curious since I'm having my FET April 12Th- How many embies will you defrost? I am also curious what day that means they start to defrost them for your 4/2 transfer, and when they'll let you know how many made it (that day or the next day?) Are you doing a 3dt or 5dt and of how many? Sorry to pry, but I'm obviously curious about all this since it will be my first FET after my first IVF failed last month.
Good luck and I'll send embie dust to your frosties for the upcoming days prior to your FET!
Have a great day ladies, Melanie

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I had a nice birthday. I spent the day with my DH and DS. Then my mom came to watch DS so we could go out on a date. It was nice to get out and talk about the upcoming transfer. (It's killing me that we've decided to keep this a "secret"!) My husband hasn't been nearly as "involved" as he was the first time. He started a new job about a month ago, so that's taking up all of his spare time. So, I've been particularly grateful for this board!

So much to catch up on...

kimbob
, I'm glad that you and your DH have decided not to close the door on another try. It's a good plan to wait until your meeting with your RE. Who knows what he/she will have to say. Let us know how that appt goes! BTW, what does PMA stand for?

cymplicity27
, congrats on your transfer! You're PUPO! That is so cool that you were able to get a picture of your little embies! I'm jealous...we didn't get one with my son, and I SO would have loved one. I think my clinic has started doing that now, so hopefully we'll get one for this ET! I'm sorry you're suffering from a stomach bug. Hang in there! Also, I was shocked to read that your pregnancy test will be on April 13th and you transferred yesterday (Saturday). I transfer on Thursday (4/2) and my beta is scheduled for 4/14!!! Weird!

sportsmom, Enjoy not having any side effects! They may show up later and they probably will show up once you start stimming! Enjoy the ride now!!

trx0424, Welcome! I'm doing my first FET after having my son two years ago. He was a successful first IVF attempt!!!

ianmichael3, Congratulations! That's great news! And, wow! Another crazy story to add to these BFN's changing to BFP's!!

tabatha1975, Another PUPO!!! I'm glad that the ET went well. And two perfect embies sounds...well, perfect! I transferred two "perfect embies," and my son is 2!!!

melanie100, this is my first FET too! I think that they will defrost my two embies on Wednesday for my ET on Thursday. I'll get a phone call ONLY if they do not thaw. I understand that there is still time to unthaw more, but they would just call to make sure I want two more unthawed or whatever number they suggest. I believe this will be a 3dt. I did get pregnant with my son 3 years ago and he was a three day and they froze the rest, so I'm assuming this is a 3dt then. My RE said that my embies look excellent and my clinic has a VERY high unthawing success rate, so I'm pretty relaxed going in to this! Good luck...and I'll let you know how things go or if I find out any more info.

AFM, tomorrow is my last Lupron shot! Woohoo!! I start the progesterone pills on Tuesday and then what I'm dreading, the progesterone suppositories on Thursday (all the while, still taking the Estrace pills)! I feel like I've been "nesting" this weekend before my PUPO on Thursday! I had such a crappy first pregnancy (puked all 9 months), that I'm half expecting to be pregnant soon, so I've been cleaning and doing all sorts odds and ends around the house! It's kind of weird! I hope I'm not jinxing anything!

Any room for me in here? :)

Post by EmilieNZ »

Hi girls,

My name is Emilie and I live in NZ. I am about to go through my first IVF. To give you a bit of background, hubby and I have been trying for five years and last November I was diagnosed and successfully treated for endometriosis.

I start daily injections of buserelin from tomorrow, have my first scan booked for April 22 and egg collection is scheduled for around April 27.

I am nervous - as it's entering into the unknown. I am 29 years old and we live about 24,000 miles away from our family, who we haven't told of our fertility difficulties / treatments.

So looking for some support I guess and I look forward to following your stories and sharing some collective good news!!!

Em x

Ladies,

Thanks for all the congrats and information on where to find out more on my HCG levels. I belive that I am on the high end of where I should be. I have another beta tomorrow so I guess I will know a bit more then. I am still in absolute shock over my BFP. More waiting...

Hey lionoe congrats!! So now that you have started a positive trend, I am sure we all will follow soon :)

My ER is scheduled for Thursday,2nd april and transfer on Saturday, 4th april. I asked the doc for blastocyst transfer but he said since i dont have many follicles, i should go for a 3 day transfer. Left the decision to him. Now that the THE day is coming , started getting the jitters.

Please pray for my BFP. :?

Best wishes to all. May we all become mommies soon :D

Welcome Emilie! I'm also 29 and this is my first IVF too! Docs keep telling me "you're young and healthy" and that my chances are high. Yesterday before my transfer she even told me that I could bump up my success rate even more since my embryos were "perfect". I'm optimistic but I'm still staying a little grounded and preparing for the worse. I'm right at the begining of my 2ww and I honestly don't feel as anxious as I expected to. I think we've done this 2ww thing with negative results so many times (like so many others) that I'm kind of just numb now. If I get a BFN I think my response would be "oh well...that figures". It's the BFP that would probably make me pass out

Sarah, that is SO not fair! LOL You don't even have a 2ww! It's like 12 days! I think my clinic doesn't test on the weekend. If I would have had my transfer on Saturday, my beta would have been Friday, April 10. But since it was on a Sunday, it's now on Monday, April 13th. I will DEFINITELY POAS before then. Probably sometime that weekend.

Melanie, I had the same thought about the Maalox I took on Saturday (that it worked too well). Maybe took a little too much and it got the acids in my stomach all out of wack. Since I spoke with the doctor I've been feeling much better! Still a little bloated but after yesterday I'll happily deal with the bloating! :)

more catching up to do!

cymplicity- you will have to let us know when you poas. I will also do it once I am in my 2ww. I will probably start early and do it often just like last time, I am an hpt addict! It stinks that you have to wait a couple extra days for beta b/c your transfer was ona sunday. Sometimes if you get a positive hpt, clinics will let you do beta early.

babyluv- how have your u/s been going? Have they given you any number of follies or sizes? You said ER is scheduled for apr 2, does that mean you will trigger tomorrow night? And if you have a 3 day then wouldn't your ET be apr 5? This will be any exciting week for you and we will be praying for your bfp!

emile- welcome. I will add you to our list too, and it is getting to be a long list! The more the merrier I say! I am not famililar with buserelin, what is that for?? If egg collection will be around apr 27 does that mean you start stims around apr 17? I am so happy to hear you were successfully treated and now maybe you will be able to get pregnant. There are many women here that do not live close to family, or just choose not to share their infertility with family and friends, but this site is an awesome way to get some much needed support.

sbr- oh my goodness, you are so close. How exciting, we will all be sending you lots of sticky vibes this week. And way to go with the cleaning! I should be doing the same thing, but I'm not...

sprout- So glad to see you are still around...we thought we lost you for a little while there! Has everything sorted itself out and are you still cycling soon? Thanks so much for cheering everyone on, and hopefully we will hear from you again soon.

dys- where are you girl? I want to know how your u/s went yesterday???

ok- I guess I have to go do a littlle housework and homework...but not too much...just even to get by for now...talk to you all soon
