tabatha - The restrictions my doctor gave me were no sex, no strenuous exercise, and not to lift greater than 25lbs. I've been able to keep myself busy with work and school. Then by the time I get home, I just sleep.

Wow, aims. RE told you no sex? We didn't get any restrictions really, only to not go on any "outward bound trips", in which she was partly joking. Other than that we were told to carry on with normal activities.

Okay Ladies,

I had my second beta and thyriod levels checked today. My first beta was 282 on Friday and 1157 today. The nurse told me that this was considered normal progression. Any additional thoughts from you all?

 Cynthia- Thanks for the "Suppression Dust" I love It!!!!!
Guess we'll see if it works on Thursday.
I understand you doing an HPT. Actually in your case since you have to wait until Monday, it makes sense to do it that weekend. I must admit, that having had the BFN with an HPT before I got the call from RE confirming it, did prepare me for the bad news. I wasn't as bummed when they told me, since I kinda knew there was only a slight chance it would be positive after the negative HPT.
Sounds like you have a great chance of having success. Maybe we can get our BFP's fairly close and be cycle buddies.
BTW, we have friends that just moved to Raleigh, NC. I would love to meet you when we head down to see them. We don't know when, but they are long time friends and we'd love to see them, so maybe this summer.
Take care, and enjoy being PUPO!
Love Melanie

Just had my ultrasound today. I have about 10 follies growing and my ER is set for Apr. 3rd. They didn't give me any sizes on the follies yet. I go back for another u/s on 4/1.
Sounds like there are a few of us almost on the same schedule!

Wow you guys are busy over here! :D It's exciting to read about all the triggers and ETs and tranfers and prepping for FETs! Oh, my!

I hope that everyone is doing well - including those who are quiet these days!

Hazel good luck with your baseline on Thursday - it's almost here!!
I hope those headaches are going away. For some reason I've had a headache for three days now and it is just miserable! Yikes! I don't know how you did it for so long. I'm sorry your family didn't get their wish of having a handy-man SIL. But at least you got Mr. Right! That's better in the long run!! :D

ianmichael3 (Nicole) That is so exciting!! I can't wait to hear the results of your beta today! Now we can add another wieird but absolutely wonderful BFP to our list! Boy, I thought regular 2wws and betas sent people through the wringer. You and Babymex deserve a medal for what you've been through to get your BFPs!

aims congrats on your positive HPT! Did you call your clinic to tell them that you had a positive and that you have spotting? They might be able to let you go early for your beta. Either way congrats!

tabatha1975 congrats on transfering two perfect embies! :D Now you just have to try to relax through the 2ww. My clinic said nothing strenuous after a few days of rest - same as what aims said.

sprouthaus It was so good to hear form you! :D I hope that you are sorting things out alright. I hope the hiccups aren't too bad. I imagind your 'real-life' friends and family are supporting you with that, but we are here if you need us. I hope you're taking good care of yourself and that you'll cycle when the time is right. (((hugs))) right back at ya!

sbr/Sarah I'm glad you had a good birthday! PMA is "positive mental attitude". I think if you nest and clean ahead of time you're not jinxing - you're letting the universe know you are ready to be pregnant again, even if it means you have to have morning sickness for nine more months! Now that's PMA! Good luck on Thursday!! :D

lionoe your second beta sounds good and strong, too! I don't know much about the numbers, so I'll just wish for whatever you want it to be - just as long as it gets you a healthy and happy baby (or two) in the end!

babyluv123 Good luck on Thursday! And then good luck on Saturday!! :D

cymplicity27 I hope your 2ww is still going well. I'm glad to hear that your GI scare is most likely a fluke, not a bug!

dys24 your follies sound great! I can't wait to hear when you will trigger. Keep us posted!! :D

latinosunshine so did you have ER today?? I hope so! Good luck! :D

melanie I'm sorry to hear you've got the blues. I know it's easier said than done, but hang in there. I think you've got all those frosties for a reason - one of them is meant to be a little sister or brother for your DS! I hope Thursday comes quickly for you. Have faith that things will work out!! :D

Trying for another Angel congrats on all those follies. April 3 will be here before you know it!! Good luck!!

sportsmom congrats on getting you 1st week of lupron behind you!

Well everybody - I am out of time. To all our new cyclers - welcome - I hope that you all get all the support and comfort that you need here. Thank you Michele for always welcoming the newbies and adding them to our list! I will try to keep us a little better!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Ok so that stomach thing returned last night at midnight!! I woke up with the sour/burning/twisting feeling. I felt it coming on lightly and knew it was about to erupt. Since I wasn't sure what exactly "fixed" it Sunday I immediately took a couple Maalox chewables, woofed down 2 pieces of toast and drank 2 bottles of water. I was up for another hour until it settled down. The good thing is I think I've identified the culprit! Was anyone else prescribed Azithromycin (antibiotic) the day before ER? I was suppose to be on it for 5 days. I forgot to take one Saturday and took the next one after returning home from ET Sunday. Laid down to take a nap and within 2 hours the stomach pain came on. Last night I had my finally pill to take and totally not thinking that these pills were making me sick I popped one in just before bed (directions say take with or without food). Again within 2 hours the pain came on. Luckily I don't have anymore to take. I googled some info on it and it does speak of abdominal pain but couldn't find where people have experienced anything like I was experiencing. Anyway, if things go smoothly today/tonight I'll know it was in fact the pill. If not I'll be going to see a GI specialist tomorrow :(

On a lighter note, I was wondering what my embies are up to day to day and came across this reference list and figured I'd share :D

this is what happens in a 3dt :

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT

Melanie, you'll have to let me know exactly when you plan to come to Raleigh! We can definitely get together :)

Thanks kimbob and CT_Michele

I am now just tensed as everyone in this forum is talking about the 3 day and 5 day transfer. And what my doc told me that he is going to do a 2 day tranfer. For my last IVF also he did a 2 day transfer and it was negative. I hope it works this time around.

Sis1- I'm so sorry about your results. I know exactly how you feel about not being around here. Take as much time as you need to heal, and when you'r ready we'll be here for you.

lionoe- thats a great beta I heard its supposed to double every other day, so yours looks like did more than that :D

trx0424- Hi I have PCOS and I do take 1500mg of metformin every day. My first cycle was a BFN but I wasnt on metformin or lupron that time. This time I'm taking metformin and lupron with 120u of follistim I'm about to trigger either tomorrow or thursday :D , my doc said he's seeing much better results as far as me stimming little longer and more unified follie sizes so we will see, hopefully this will bring me my BFP, what about you?

kimbob- thank you:) You are so nice in responding to everyone, I sometimes cant keep up lol  , my doc said I might trigger tomorrow or 100% by thursday so we'll see.

babyluv123- some docs believe that the sooner the embryo goes back to the uterus the better. I've seen people transferring on day2, but mostly day3 or day5. What's the reason that he believes that transferring at d2 is necessary? Don't let this stress you out, he knows what he's doing and if you doubt it then maybe you should call him and ask why he's doing the transfer then.

Michele- how's everything? haven't seen you posting much 8)

AFM- went in for another u/s I have a bunch of follies I cant keep a count of lol   Met with the doc and he said trigger probably tomorrow or if not 100% thursday if he can "push" me two more days lol my E2 levels quieted down so I can stim little longer. He said everything is going according to the plan as I'm stimming slower than the last cycle and folies are much unified in sizes ... so I hope he's right ... I can't take much of the lupron any longer lol :P :P
