OMG ,What a GOOD news! AMAZING,congrats,Nicole! What a perfect surprise :D
I just got back from Florida,we missed a few snow storms here back home, but it's still cold.Absolutely gorgeous in Florida. My mother in law didn't seemed to be very excited about the baby, she avoided any conversations on this subject, rolled her eyes when my husband was taking care of me(like bring a juice, helping get out of the car or even touching my belly)All she wanted to talk(and did) was about her husband who died a year ago.Was very uncomfortable to me even have a snack at her place-the eyes were rolled each time I had an yogurt or Dove ice cream-which I got for myself! We had to sneak a lunch because I couldn't wait from 12 to 6p.m(when she planed to go have a dinner)without food!
Oh,and when we were saying goodbye, she said-well,see you in august, you'll be much thiner...
 I can't believe it!!! I put on only 17 lb so far and all of them -my belly and boobs, nothing extra, and I'm not mentioning HER size from the last time I saw her!!! Anyway,I don't get it, and my DH was very upset with her because he wanted to share his happiness, brought u/s pictures(all she said was :Oh...) and she was totally ignoring!
O well,I don't care,it was just shocking to us,not like she has a million grandkids,in fact, this will be the second one(her older son's kids never were part of her life).
Well I was worried about traveling on a plane, but it wasn't too bad.I have an u/s on Monday, and blood sugar test ,so will see how baby liked my short vacation.
Lyly, did you have your diabetis test yet?How is everything?
Reshma, congrats on your little one making a progress! we are going to name our baby Deanna after my mom,so that wasn't very difficult,I new if I'm having a girl, she'll have my moms name.My DH wanted to give her a middle name after his mom and told her that, but she didn't say anything...
IVF#1-BFP,but lost our angel at 16 weeks
IVF#2-BFN
IVF#3-BFP,started w/tiplets,lost one at 7 weeks,lost a second at 15 weeks
Praying for a miracle baby to stay with us!

Oh Marina, dear!

All I can say is, don't name the baby after her, she won't obviously appreciate it, nor would you want to think of her when you call out your child's name! Woah. She sounds really self absorbed and selfish.

I'm happy to hear your travels were safe and I'm jealous because all I wanna do is go to the beach! :(

take care!

Marina - Sorry to hear about how you were treated. It stinks that she behaved that way but there is not much you can do to change people. I agree with Nicole about not using your mother-in-laws name for a middle name. I am not sure about the name we picked now. Dh seemed to change his mind about using his father's name so now who knows what the baby's name will be. As for me, I did have one diabetes screening already but that was at 18 weeks. I was supposed to go for my second one this week, but I got sick and am on prednisone so I have to wait until I am off of it for a few days before I go for the test. Unfortunatley I was supposed to get tested for anemia and have my thyroid checked but I haven't gone since it is on the same script as the glucose test. I can't believe I hit 27 weeks. It blows my mind that in just 10 weeks I will be full term. I am so hoping I go into labor on my own at 37-38 weeks because I am nervous about getting induced and needing a c- section. I definitely want to avoid one if I can. I have an appt on tues the 7th with my ob and for an u/s. I can't wait to see how big the baby got. I have still only gained 10 lbs so I hope he is growing nicely.

Reshma- I am happy to hear Zara is doing well. I can't believe she is 6 months already, before you know it her first b-day will be here! Enjoy it time sure flies.

Nicole- I hope you are enjoying being pg!

I can't believe how far along you all are, it is so awesome!

I flipped out last night b/c some of the progesterone discharge was tinged pink. :( I'm so blessed with a sensitive and supportive DH, he just consoled me and said he was sure the baby was still in there and cooking up just fine. He is just the best. But I am going to just go ahead and call the RE to let them know. It's not like spotting or anything like that, so maybe he's right. I've also lost the soreness in my bbs and not feeling quite as nauseous, which concerns me. But maybe I was making myself sick with just worry about actually being preggers. WHO KNOWS. One thing is for sure, we'll know whether or not it is living and growing on 4/22 which is when I'll have my 1st u/s, I'll be a full 8 weeks by then.

Marina,

sorry to hear about your MIL and her treatment of you. Makes you wonder what crawled up her butt and died!!!! You think she would be so excited. Don't let her rain on your baby parade, you cannot change her and obviously she has some issues!. Sounds like you haven't gained much weight, so don't let her make you feel fat. You are NOT fat, you are pregnant!

lyly,

wow, you are cruising right along......it will be here before you know it. Sorry to hear you have been sick, that sucks when you are pg!

Hi girls
Lyly, sorry to hear ,looks like your astma acting up worse during your pg :(
Nicole, why they make you wait until 8 weeks to have an u/s? I think they should see you at least one time around 6-7 weeks to see the h/b,how many embryos implanted and where are they attached to rule out tubal pg.
About breast sensetivity-it comes and goes.It made me crazy every time, because they weren't sensetive in the beginning at all and it made me very nervous because everybody was talking about how their bbs hurt.

Ronda, your little Blessing #2 already 4 months! :) Are you still thinking about blessing #3?

Hi everyone!

Nicole! I am sooooo happy for you. I just checked in and read all the posts-what a journey! I couldn't be happier for you! You must be so excited and so nervous at the same time. I agree with Marina-why not ask the doctor if they can take you a week earlier-at least just to ease your mind. As a side note-my BB's never got sore-they just started to get big-so you can't always go by that.

Marina and Lyly-glad to hear that your pregnancies are moving right along. Sounds like you both are doing well which is great. Any names picked out yet? Starting to get the nursery ready?

AFM-I am doing well. Both babies look good and are right on track right now for singletons. (my son was 10lbs 3oz-so I am hoping that I can grow these guys to a decent size) I go once a week for a check-one week for weight, blood pressure and heartbeat monitoring-and the next week for a full growth, cervical check ultrasound. So far I feel good-just REALLY big-all stomach. I look like I did when I was around 8 months pregnant with my son, which is fine by me as long as the babies are healthy.

I will try to check in more-I have been so busy at work and home just trying to get some things done now before I really AM too big to do anything.

:D

Marina & Mel: :) thanks so much for your thoughts! I am doing well- the nausea only comes when I haven't eaten for a while, it really just feels like it does when I go for too long without eating, so it's not too bad. bbs comes and goes, but poor DS, he hugged me so tight this weekend twice that I had to tell him to be more gentle!

So the RE's office had to schedule it at week 8 b/c he's going to be out of the office during week 7. He is only in the office near me (1 hour away) once a week, so that's why I have to wait. It's not so bad, I think everything should be ok.......... it's definitely got to be a girl this time- it's already been so different from my 1st pregnancy w/DS. I'd much rather wait to see the heartbeat, than go this week (6) and there not be one yet and freak out about it when it may just need a little more time; after all, she was a late implanter

XOXO to everyone of us pregnant princesses!

Ronda- I don't think your crazy for wanting #3. I think if you feel the urge then go for it! Maybe you'll get a boy.

As for me I had my appt and sono today. I am a bit freaked out right now. The baby's growth was good (he's already 2.8 lbs) but he said he may have a problem with his kidneys. The kidney's itself are normal size but there is some dilation of the renal pelvic area. The doctor wants to recheck them in 3 weeks. He said it could be nothing or it could be a blockage in his ureters. Unfortunately, now I am reading it is marker for down's. Now I am thinking I should have the amnio. Never a dull moment.

Hi guys!
Melissa-I'm so glad to hear from you finally-it's been a long time,I was worry and wondering how is everything for you after the procedure.I'm glad you are doing good and babies are good.
Nicole,I remember that time-living day by day(well,it's not going to get any easier  ),but I'm so happy for you!

Ronda,I don't think you are crazy,in fact my dh already thinking about one little frozen embie we have left and want to give it a chance  -as for me,I don't think I can go through this again, even the chance with one frozen embryo is so slim.

Lyly, dear, sorry to hear about this :( ,I know how difficult these news can be and if you have to easy your mind, then you should do the amnio.
I had an u/s and glucose test yesterday, the test was normal, but hemoglobin lower then normal. They did all the measurements and everything looked good with the organs, but she has a little shorter arms and legs then average (by their calculations),but they are perfectly simmetrical ,which can be either nothing and she just will catch up ,or some kind of chromosomal problem. They offered again genetic counseling,I refused-what for?Nothing can be changed, and it's all just a guessing game unless we do the amnio. The thing is ,I'm not a supermodel with long legs myself, very petite(5'2), and my parents were too(my mom was shorter then I am),so is my cousin. My husband is an average, but he was littelist child in class. So, the bottom line is,nothing we can do about it and I'm not going to drive myself crazy. We are having a petite little one.

lyly dont worry to much. Dr's with u/s's can be so off. They told me my first dd was over 8lbs the week before birth then when she was born she was 6lbs9oz. i asked where the rest was. With my nephew they induced my sil because his head measured too small and they said he wasnt getting enough nutrients and he was fine. I mean my bro and sis in law are small shes 5'1" and 100lbs my bro is 5'6"and 130lbs but they dont look at that. They told me my first dd had downs. Every test said it ever u/s and blood work i refused amnio due to chances off loss. She was born perfectlty fine shes now 4yrsold healthy and extremley smart.

beth- I know with weight the u/s are +/- at least 1 lb. He said the measurment of the actual kidney was normal but he could see that the renal pelvic area was dilated. He also said it could be nothing or could be indication of a blockage in his tubes. He really didn't make a big deal of it and mentioned nothing of the link to being a downs marker. I do know myself that it is because I really researched the markers prior to my level II u/s. With the increased risk with my bloodwork I am concerned about it. I know that despite the increased risk its only 3%chance downs 97% chance not, but now there is just one more thing to add to it. I chose not to have the amnio for the same reason and felt good about my decision after my level II u/s that came back with no markers for downs but now I wonder if i made the right decision.

Marina- I just cant' wait until we are both holding normal healthy babies in our arms. I thought infertility was a roller coaster ride but it seems like both of our pregnancies continue the ride. My second glucose test came back normal so it looks like i'm in the clear for gestational diabeties. What a relief that is since I was boderline before getting pg. My hemoglobin was actually normal which they were concerned about since I crave ice (who knew that was a sign of anemia?!?) Also my thyroid levels are the best they have ever been and I am not on my thyroid meds.

well everyone angelina was 14mths yesterday and it took me this long to find a reason for all m7 loses. Crazy right when I'm done. Well About 3mths ago i started having stomache issues, i got sick after each meal everyone said could you be pg i was like NO! Well I found out I have Gastroparesis, well when finding and researching how i got this disease the word thyroid kept coming up. Well I went through all my old Fertility records and 2x i tested positive for thyroid antibodies, and was ust told like it was no big thing so i researched thyroid antibodies, ell come to find out a women is 2-3x higher risk of m/c ith this and that some RE's threat the women as if the thyroid is already bad well mine did not. I was so upset like all my loses could of been possibly avoided. So all these years lateri find out it is not unexplained losses. Now that i'm done. its crazy.

Hi Ladies, Just wanted to check in. I"m still pregnant. I'm 40 wks tomorrow and baby is still HIGH...i'm barely effaced! Baby is very happy in his little amnio hvn. He has dropped maybe an inch. He's alll the way under my boobs!!! I can't wait to see him, but can wait for him to continue growing.
I am still at work. I'm gonna try and go till next Friday. I'm really not as miserable as most women are, they are all telling me, including my OBs. I've only gained 20ibs throughout this pregnancy, due to regular walks on treadmill. I've really LOVED being pregnant!!!

Congrats to Nicole...ENJOY, ENJOY, ENJOY. The worrying never goes away, so if you can focus on the little things--the baby moving, the weekly progresses, his/her development...it really helps. And deep down in your heart, you will know what is going on w. your baby.

Marina, sorry to hear about the mo-in-law. VERY rude. But they say you can't change ppl, you just have to change how you react them. But for her to comment on your weight is COMPLETELY uncalled for! CUT HER LOOSE!!!

Love you all!
