Hopeful, I am so sorry for your loss. Your attitude is amazing!

As I have shared, I have had two miscarriages and also opted for a D&C both times for the same reasons you said. My second miscarriage came after my first IVF cycle. I swore I could not do another cycle, and yet here I am on #2. The fact that you are so positive right from the start is incredible.

I was tired and slept the afternoon after both of my D&Cs, but was back at work the next day both times - it helped me to get some normalcy. Let yourself rest and do whatever feels best.

I know it can be hard to see a silver lining, but you know you can get pregnant and that is an amazing thing.

I see my miscarriages as the loss of dreams, but that dream is still very much alive - so hang in there. It will happen.

Hopeful - I was so sad to hear that. Like others here, I admire your optimism in planning to try again soon. Even after just getting BFN's on my first two tries, it took me a long time to get over each failure and I imagine this must be so much harder. Stay strong!

Hopeful, I too admire your positive attitude. I'm so sorry you are going through this difficult time. I can't even count the number of BFN's I've had in the last 4 years, but the best thing for me was to take time to be sad, then get started planning the next cycle. I know if must be harder for you to have been so close, but I agree with excited-in-la, you CAN get pregnant. I hope you will keep us posted and share your good news that is surely on it's way to you.

Hi Ladies,

Your kind words go along way. My strength comes from each and everyone of you. This board allows us to know we are not alone. You all have shared your personal stories and I am inspired by all of you and what you have endured. I wanted you all to know that my D&C went as well as it could yesterday. I just rested after the procedure the remainder of the day. I have not experienced any crapping at this point so I am thankful for that. I am back at work today and just trying to move forward. As strong as I am being I definetly get very emotional when I am talking about my situation to someone who is aware. I know that will eventually pass but for now I just let it happen. I will defintely keep you all posted and want to continue to be apart of this message board as I want to see how all of you are doing. I am pulling for everyone to become the mom they deserve to be!!!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Looks like everyone has been very quiet over the weekend. Personally, I spent last Friday and the entire weekend feeling too nauseous to even think about sitting in front of a computer. It's actually not much better today, but there is only so much work that I can miss right now. Am I seriously the only one here who has morning sickness all day??

Wondercat: It's definitely not just you! I've been MIA for a while because I've felt so exhausted and nauseous the past few weeks. The nausea lasts all day and I could probably sleep 20 hours a day.. it's kind of like having mono  Feeling good enough right now to get on the computer for the first time in a week. Hang in there!

Looking forward to my 3rd ultrasound next week Tuesday to see those little heartbeats again and see how they're growing (hopefully).

Wondercat & Nursegator~ I feel absolutely rotten too! I am nauseous all-day everyday. And it is a STRUGGLE to find anything appealing to eat. I don't actually throw up, but I feel like I want to all day long. I am also suffering extreme exhaustion and must take a nap everyday! But I have so much trouble sleeping at night as I toss and turn and need to get up and pee every two hours. I'm a mess!

nursegator - Good luck at your ultrasound! I had one last Thursday as I had more bleeding that Wednesday night and was already there for my scheduled appointment anyway. Everything looked great, 156 bpm and the little one looks like a shrimp now instead of a bean. My nurse said it looks like I'm getting the equivalent of cervical nosebleeds and it isn't cause to worry. Phew.

SueQiwi
- That sounds almost exactly like me, minus the not actually throwing up. I want to sleep, but I can't because my head hurts, I'm queasy, and I have to pee. If I sleep in I end up dry heaving when I do get up. The nausea seems to be worst when I am starting to get hungry again, because mercifully there at least usually isn't much in me to throw up when I do. Nothing sounds good to eat, or smells good. Preparing food can make me gag, but if my husband puts the finished meal down in front of me I can down the whole thing no problem and feel better afterward. Delightful.

I have decided it's yet another test to pass to make sure I'm physically and emotionally strong enough to be a mom. :) The powers that be definitely added another layer of agony to this test by having one of my co-workers heat up her fish sticks in the toaster oven right outside my office door today. OooooOOOooo... That and the current wind advisory does not bode well for my ferry ride home...

hi ladies-

I think I've been in slight shock. We went for an u/s on Friday morning and we saw two flickers on the screen. I go back in two weeks for another scan, to see how the two beans are progressing.

So we have been trying to wrap our head around the idea of having two. I tell DH if they do not outnumber us, we might have a chance haha.

I'm 7 weeks this week, so a little behind most of you, but I have been feeling queasy, off and on. I have yet to toss my cookies. I crave fruit when I feel queasy.

wondercat, I didn't know that we could have that sort of bleeding, like "nosebleeds"? Well, it is good news that it is not anything to worry about for you!

Sue, I mutter and grumble every night as I get out of bed and head to pee for the umpteenth time that night. maybe this is nature's way of getting us used to sleeping a few hours at a time.

nursegator, maybe we can be twin buddies? I feel like a deer in headlights!!

I hope that all of you are well.........well, as good as you can be with the nausea that we're all feeling.

Thread crasher, here! Although I haven't been given an actual due date, my approximations put me at the very end of November, or as late as December 1 or 2. I too have been suffering from the nausea, BUT, it goes away if I eat a little something, which has mostly been either fruit or club crackers. Hope that someone can use that little tidbit....

Hopeful, I'm so sorry for your loss and I agree with everyone else on this thread that it will happen for you! Stay strong and brave!

I am in a 2WW for my first u/s, since my RE will be out of the office on my 7th week (next week). It is SOOO frustrating & I just don't feel like it is real, after waiting for 2 years to even TRY to start to conceive, then another 2 years of actually TTC.... it is just amazing. A blooming miracle, I swear- it was our 1st attempt at IUI and the 2 days the RE's office told me to test, it was negative. So I waited around for 3 days for AF to arrive and when she didn't a dear friend suggested I test with the expectation that it would make AF arrive..... HA! It was BFP on 3/28, our 11th wedding anniversary. What a gift!!!

Thanks for "letting" me butt in and share! Good luck with everyone in their pregnancies.... I'll be sure to post the results of our u/s on 4/22.................UGH, what a wait!!!!!!!!!

aspotofTea - Wow, congrats on twins! I know a lot of people with twins (or expecting twins), and have mostly heard that having the extra baby turns out to be easier than all of their terrified thoughts had led them to believe when they first found out.

I guess in the same way that taking a lot of aspirin can make your nose bleed, all the increased blood circulation from being pregnant can make your cervix bleed in the same way. Who knew.

ianmichael3
- Welcome! Am I reading correctly that your RE's office had you do your own testing at home rather than going in for a blood test? I have never heard that before. What a good thing you did that last test! What a long wait for your u/s! I still think that wait is worse than the other 2ww.

Incidentally, I'm kind of confused by the number of days left on your ticker. It's less than mine, but I am further along??
