Hooray Carolyn, that's fantastic! Here's hoping that all 11 fertilise - I'm sending you good vibes over to Prague! Will you do a day 3 or a day 5 transfer, or does it depend how many fertilise and how they develop?

statsgoddess - it's always nice to get some new underwear! My poor DH, I hardly ever do it so he has to put up with horrible old faded stuff! Not long until Monday now and then hopefully you can start on the stims!

Cynthia - thanks for the suggestion, I think I will give my thigh a go tonight and see how I get on.

sportsmom - report in when you can after your suppression check. Hope you got the go-ahead to start stims. Sounds like AF is very imminent so hope it didn't delay you!

Hi Everyone!
Congrats to the the ones with BFP!!
I have a question The doc told me to be consistent on the time of the shots. I have been doing it from 8pm to 9pm. Last night I couldn't do it until midnight. Is that a problem I haven't get used to the neddles but at least I haven't have any side effect YET with the Lupron

Just joined and trying to figure out how everyone is doing. I don't even totally understand the acronyms, but I'm picking them up. I'm well on my way into my first IVF. Today was actually my last day on Lupron and Bravelle, do the HCG tonight with retrieval on Thursday. So far all is looking good as I have 14 follicles. And boy is my belly bloated! I was suprised how easy the injections have been. I do ice just a little and that makes the Lupron that much easier. I have a few bruises, but not that bad.

And I never thought I would believe in acupuncture, but it's doing wonders. My stress levels have been down, my nk cells are less elevated and I just feel better, so I'm definitely a convert.

We have that typical undiagnosed infertility as nothing glaringly wrong other than my dh's morphology is low, but not that bad (avg 18-22%). So after three IUI's, I just didn't want to go through more rejection so here we are. I love my doctor and well, only time will tell.

Hi Ladies,

First thank you all for thinking about me today, thats so sweet. I'm resting from my ET today and am a little bummed... I transferred 2 8 cell embryos ... The rest 7 are still growing and they'r waiting til day 5 if any make to freeze. I'm worried because I had very similar results as last time and obviously that didnt work, doc says not to worry but its hard not to... anyway i only have 10 more days to find out which is not that far away. I'm off to rest, will do personals later. BTW my beta is April 18. Thank you all again.

Estrellita-- dont worry about one shot not being the exact time, but just try to keep them within thehour....my first cycle I did that and called the doctor in a panic and they kinda laughed...so I wouldnt worry

AFM-- well as of today, only one egg fertilized....I am disappointed, but there is nothing I can do. So we have decided to go ahead with the transfer and if I dont get pregnant then we are going to start again right whenI get my period....that way we should be able to get another cycle in before insurance runs out. We are going to do a day 3 transfer only becasue there is only one and the doctor says they dont have to pick the best and they will just do it tomorrow since the embies like the uterus. I am okay with my decision becasue I know if I dont get pregnant I have another chance.

Babyluv- I too have had a lot of back pain. They say it's normal from the shots and swelling on the inside.

Sbr- You are correct about nature. After the ET I was so worried about how to lay or what to do or not to do and then I realized I can't worry. Most women who conceive naturally don't even know at this stage and they don't do anything special. It's just that we know so we think we have to do what we can to help things along. It's not up to us.

Cymplicity- Congrats!!

Kristyb- I'm new to this too and wish you the best of luck on Thursday.

bdantonio-- they typically tell people to wait 6 months becasue of breastfeeding. They agreed to do the transfer and I also spoke to my reg ob and they say its fine to due the transfer. Why do you ask? Is there something I should know?

Well I had my suppression check this afternoon. They did the u/s and it shows I have 15 R and 9 L. I did not get the go ahead to start stims tomorrow because AF is not here yet! ugh! but they did b/w and will give me a call tomorrow and depending on what that shows they may consider me starting stims. We'll see.

dys24: my beta is alos on 4/18. Wishing for a BFP for both of us

Hopeful: my back pain has gone but my boobs have c=become ultra sensitive. even if i touch them it pains. I had a 2 day tranfer on 4/4 and they transfered 2 4 celled grade 2 embroys.

CT_Michelle, do the embroys look good? last tme i had 2 grade 1 embroys but it was still negative.

I WANT A BFP THIS TIME

Hi ladies, just checking in. We went to the clinic this morning for my day 7 stims scan and I have a total of six follicles currently developing, the largest of which is about 11mm. They are upping my Gonal-F dose to 225ml (I was on 150ml) to try and get a few other very tiny follies growing and I go back on Saturday for another scan (when I will be day 10 of stims).

I know that quality is more important than quantity, and that it only takes one etc etc, but I have to admit to being a little disappointed that it looks likely that I'll only get six follies, given that at my baseline they identified 8 possible follies on one side and 5 possible follies on the other. So I sort of expected to see about 10/12 today on the scan. But it clearly wasn't to be.

So now we wait until Saturday. In the meantime, I'm still having fun and games with the injections although injecting in the thigh last night was definitely a little less sore than in the stomach. So I think that's the way for me to go from here on in...

sportsmom - crossing my fingers that they call and say you can start stims without AF having arrived. 24 possible follies sounds super good!

Michele - are you all systems go now? How did your injection orientation class go today?

Kirstyb - welcome and best of luck tomorrow for ER! I'm also an acupuncture convert, I really don't know how I would have coped with the side effects from the down regulation drugs without it. And for me it is also partly a therapy session as it is so nice to talk to someone about everything face to face (we haven't told friends and family because I couldn't cope with them asking questions all the time, particularly in the 2ww).

i feel so crampy today.. like menstrual pain, gassy and bowels moved.. then some of the vaginal gel came out kinda dirty white.. i felt relieve afterwards, im having stomach pain.. so i eat and eat most of the time and drink loads of fluids,i felt like having uti. RE rang officially ET tom at 3pm. my 4 fertilize eggs are as follow:

2 embryos- develop into diploid today
1 embryo - divide into 3- not good abnormal division
1 embryo - divide into 4 which is the best.. this is the one they will transfer tom.

the faith of my 5 eggs...

2 eggs- empty zona
1 egg - immature
1 egg - mature but not fertilize
1 egg - have 3 mononucleosis

they will transfer only one embryo as my body built is too small, high risk for multiple pregnancy. i weight 115 lbs.. was 110 initially prior to stim and stand 5'2.

dys- you are officially PUPO! i'll catch on you tom..

michelle- i think you are already a pro for injection class..LOL

kristyb- both of us will be in clinic tom.. goodluck to your ER!

(supposed to be day 7 but they are closed on Friday for Good Friday) .

Getting used to the PIO and now I can give them to myself.
