implantation???????????

Good morning everyone hope everyone is good and stressfree, this is my first IVF i feel a litte confused about on when implantation happens is it after around 6dpt im on a 3dt. I remember my first pregnancy it was natural i had slight bleeding around a week after ovulation, sadly i had a miscarriage, if anyone could help me understand i would greatly appreciate it..........josee

Hi josee. I think it's around 5 - 7 dpt. But I can tell you I got a BFP on a hpt with no implantation bleeding or any other symptoms of implantation.

this is what happens in a 3dt :

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT

this is what happens in a 5dt :

-1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing

I need help with this too. What do you think??!! This is my first IVF cycle. I did a FET on 4/1. I put back two blastocyte (they were starting to hatch away??...does that make sense??) After looking at that chart you posted cymplicity I noticed that I could already by making hcg so I did a hpt yesterday evening and it was positive!! This morning I woke up and I had bleeding.
So my thought process is....since I am already past the implantation part of the process...this should not be happening. What do you guys think? I called the nurse and then jumped on this message board for advice. **Still waiting a call back from her***

Katie- you can bleed at anytime during ivf or even pregnancy, spotting is normal. Implantation blood doesn't necessarily have to come the same day as implantation, it could be days after. Remember too that the color and amount of blood is important, dark/brownish and light is nothing to worry about, it is bright red that is bad, and if it gets heavier, your clinic will want to know.

Thank you for a quick response. I am just sitting her watching my screen. Tears have come to my eyes to see your answer. This might be TMI but it was brownish blood -- it just scared me because this is exactly how my period starts.

brownish blood is definitely normal...you can google it and find tons of confirmation...good luck again with everything, glad I could help

Wouldn't you know that hours after I post that I had no implantation bleeding I just came from the bathroom and when I wiped there was blood!! It was light pink. I'm 10 dpt. Maybe I'm an example of what Michele spoke of...bleeding coming days after implantation?? Of course my pregnancy hasn't been confirmed yet since my beta's not until Monday, but I'm trying to keep the faith!!

Implantation occurs after about 6-8 days of embryo development regardless of when it was transferred. So your day 3's should implant about 3-5 days after transfer.

The RE's I work with don't believe there is such a thing as implantation cramping and bleeding. Some here have had the cramping/bleeding, with or without pregnancy, and others without the cramping/bleeding also had success or failure. If it does exist, it's not a reliable indicator of pregnancy. Cramping is also associated with progesterone, which is elevated in every IVF patient at this point. Gotta wait for the pregnancy test.
