Estrellia-- ICSI is on paper the way to go. I think with 6% morphology most clinics would recommend ICSI. M story is a little different in the fact that ICSI was harming my eggs, which also have problems. But the only time we didnt use ICSI, my beautiful son was born! But at my last ER I had 18 eggs and only 1 fertilized without ICSI....its a chance you take. My DH only has 1% morphology....if I were you I would try ICSI.

Thanks Neffi
Our ER recommende ICSI and my DH is ok with it, but I was kind of doubting it. I think I'll go for it.

estrellita - We are doing ICSI because we had to do sperm aspiration and are also thinking we may go ahead and do PGD as well.

to those of you doing your own shots - OMG, I am terrified of needles and haven't even done the lupron myself! I can't even bring myself to look. You guys are so brave!

And I'm also terrified of neddles and every time my DH is ready, I cover my face  and tonight he might get home late, if that's the case, I'll wait for him, if it's too late, I'll go to my sister's 15-20 mins walk or might just take a taxi and go to her, but I wont be able to do it myself :?

Estrell, we did ICSI and AH because of Dh have severe MFI (super low count and motility). Out of 15, 14 fertilized and 9 were still growing on day 3!

Good job Melanie, I knew you could do it! Now, if you figure out how to give that shot yourself on the left side, please share because I haven't got a clue! Since dh is home every other night, I just set it up so that I'm always doing my right and he does the left.

That is crazy that it's snowing up north. Here I am whining about the frost my newly planted shrubs had to endure here last night. I think we have another frost warning for tonight.

oK, so kink in my plans. My estradiol came back elevated because I haven't started my period yet. So I am to continue .10 Lupron and get another suppression check Monday morning. Also, I was wrong on my follicle count. 15R and 19L. Alot more than I thought!

this is so frustrating. my estimated ER was 4/20 but now with this delay it will probably put me closer to the end of the month.

Well, my injection class went fine today. Lots of paperwork to sign, and it was good to get a refresher about the meds. It was a little bit different then last time, I guess because I have a high dose of follistim, I do not need to add any saline water to the menopur. Also, the trigger I am doing is a big different too. I am glad went for the class. So I am all set to start Friday night, and will have my first u/s and bw monday morning.

The nurse today mentioned about taking baby aspirin, she says there is new research out that indicates baby aspirin might help implantation? Has anyone else heard this or have any of your RE's reccomended this? I did not do it last time, and I am hesitant about changing anything from last time since we had a successful cycle. Just looking for thoughts and opinions...

estrellita - I'm glad I'm not the only one scared of doing the shots themselves!

faith 03 - This is my first IVF as well. I'm on Lupron now and am due for a suppression check on 4/13. My ER is supposed to be the week of 4/27, so we should be pretty close together. (And put the lupron in the fridge after you open it, store it in the box - it reacts to light :) )
