Hi Guys! Lot sof news to catch up on!
coco- congrats on the boys!
Annie- congrats on the boy and girl!
Bigediowan congrats on the 2 boys too!
Well iwe found out at my u/s that i am having my second boy! we are really excited! We didn't end up doing the amnio, we did the 2nd trimester screening test with the blood work and the u/s that looks for the 15 markers for downs and both came back totally normal! the bloodwork came back at 1/535 for downs and the cut off is 270 as opposed to the first trimester screening that came back 1/24! Can you believe it! we are thrilled and decided in not doing the amnio since the second blood work and u/s came back so normal. we are finally happy and finally telling our family and friends that we are expecting. so nice to finally be ahppy with this pregancy! first the ectopic scare then the downs scare it's been one thing after another so i hope the rest of this pregnacy i can jsut breeze through it!
I am feeling the baby move all the time and the technician who was doing the u/s said that the baby is very active......

Brenda, i had the stomach virus too! was coming out both ways IT WAS TERRIBLE! the worst thing to be pregnant and have the stomach bug!

Hope: So glad everything is ok!!

How's everyone doing? I am feeling great. Getting bigger. :-O Have y'all started registering, picking out furniture, etc? I am OVERWHELMED with all the gear we have to have. I thought the research for strollers alone might be the death of me. Oy vey! Having twins seems to make everything a little more complicated. Would love to hear how everyone else is faring.

Hello ladies, I have been keeping up with everyone but not really posting. I am sorry to hear those with struggles, M/S, low iron, crazy bloodwork. I can only imagine the anxiety you are feeling.

So, thankfully the pregnancy has little to report. I don't feel prego except the enlarged abdomen!!! It is hard to get out of bed, the abs aren't as strong! I joke with my friends that my body has been through so much with all the treatments, it thinks this part is easy. I know my last trimester will be hard but I am ready!!! I find out what I have April 24th (planned for DH 35th birthday).

Yes, the twin thing makes it more complicated, I get anxious wondering how I can go to the grocery store (babies and gear fill up the cart) or run in to pay for my gas without unloading everyone. The little things seem so complicated. I need to pay attention to learn how to make those things easier I suppose. Taking two dogs and two babies for a walk for example, I am completely outnumbered! I am sure we will learn a way that works and laugh at ourselves in a few short months.

I am finding great deals on craigslist.org, baby stuff is hardly used anyway but finding matching is out the window, it will not be around long enough anyway I tell myself. All my best, I am so excited for you ladies.

Hope33 - Congrats on having a boy! There seems to be a lot of baby boys coming on this board.

Coco and Babyhope1 - Glad to hear you ladies are doing good!

I was going to register sometime after our 20 week ultrasound. I am really anxious for that ultrasound to come....I just to want to hear they are healthy and have all their finger and toes! Maybe then I will stop worrying so much.

I was wondering when all you twin mommies who work full time were planning on starting your maternity leave. I was thinking June 1st that way I was a little over two months to relax and keep the babies in as long as possible! Also when did you ladies start feeling serious movement....I am 18 weeks today and think I feel them sometimes but its very sporadic. I'm a little nervous that I should be feeling them more....

I started feeling movements last week. I too feel like it should be more, its normally around 4 pm and 2ish am. I always seem to wake up in the midle of the night, body in training I suppose.

I think we don't feel them move that often because they sleep most of the time...not sure. My friend who is prego with a singleton hasn't felt movement at all and she is one week ahead of me. It could be the lack of space in there.

I have been reading other boards and it seems like there are just a ton of boys being born in August, strange!

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to post and bump us back up to the top. I have been reading to keep up on everyone but didnt post because I had nothing new to report until today. I finally had my 20 week scan and found out we are having a girl - we are so excited!!! I hope everyone is doing well.

Hey Ladies-

I feel so lost because most of you are having twins and I lost one of my twins and now have a singleton. This same thing happened with my last pregnancy (had twins and lost one).

We did find out we are having a girl (found out at 17 week ultrasound). I have full ultrasound scans every two weeks because I also have a cerclage in place from 2 years ago.

I have been feeling movement since about 16 1/2 weeks, but they say if you have been pregnant before you feel it earlier.

?????????????? QUESTION FOR YOU ALL PLEASE LOOK ??????????

????? My high risk OB said that they saw a placenta (uterus) shelf. On ultrasound It looks like the placenta drops off and starts again about 1/2 inch away. He said that there is only a small chance of something bad happening most times a limb or head can get caught in the shelf and be injured. HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THIS?????????????? I tried to google it but not alot of information on it. My home nurse (for 17p injections) said she never heard of it, also my insurance company nurse said that she never heard it either.

PLEASE HELP IF ANY INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!

bdantonio- Thanks for the web site that has put my mind at ease. On the last two ultrasound the shelf was there and grew a little larger.

Hope33- I am so glad to hear that your second blood test came back with very good results. Now you can sit back and breath a little bit.

Hey Brenda, i never heard of the placenta shelf, i tell you with all this advance technologies, the dr have us all going crazy with information. i never heard of it but i hope it doesn't affect your pregnancy at all and the rest is all smooth sailing for you!

I go in for my 20 week U/s this Thursday and on Friday i have a Dr appointment. this little guy is moving a lot and it is so nice to feel. My son is very excited about the baby coming and talks about him all the time. he includes him in his prayers at night ( we didn't even tell him to) and has made up a personalized lullaby for him.

has anyone registered yet? i was doing a search on line and now found that there are so many options for diapers, bumpkins and gdiapers and organic alternatives like 7th generation and some others..... has anyone looked into these and any thoughts? i think i might start checkeing out all the new things out on the market for this baby in a couple of weeks.......

Hope33- I was thinking about using cloth diapers this time around SO MUCH BETTER FOR THE PLANET. The problem is I have no clue how to use them or if there is something better to go over them than the plastic pants. If you find anything out give me the heads up. I think I also need to do checking into it. The disposable diapers are just filling up our land fills.

I hope everyone is feeling good and all is going alright with your pregnancies.

brenda that is what i was thinking too. but if you just go on babiesrus site they have a whole section of diaper alternatives. Seven Generation makes diapers, Eath"s best, bumpkins and others. I don't think i can do the cloth diapers, i want to see what is out there that is good/ better for the enviornment but also practical. Another thing is that i have heard from other moms that the new thing now is glass bottles instead of the plastic. I will try to breastfeed again like i did with DS but DS had some protein allergies that i had to stop breastfeeding, was making him very very colicy and had to switch 5 differnet formulas before we put him on Similac Alimentum which made a HUGE difference, expensive but worth every penny since his colic went completely away and he didn't have anymore digestive problems and was sleeping happily at night......

Hi Everyone!

Just had our anatomy scan done on Thurday and a Dr appointment Friday. Everything looks perfect! i am so happy and soooooo relieved! The little guy is measuring big , about a week ahead! He is so adorable and i am totally in love! He seems to be so much more laid back from his brother. He hardly moved during the scan where my ds at this stage was moving around non stop....Dh couldn't get off of work for the scan so he totally missed out, i am super excited and can't wait for him to come! we just have lots to get ready. i don't know about you all but i am already begining to swell, my hands and face are blowing up. It is the first hot day here in NY and i went for a long walk only to come home and not be able to get my wedding ring off my finger from the swelling and my finger was throbing. I am not looking forward to this summer being pregnant in the last trimester.....
