Cimplicity - I don't want to POAS, al least I say I don't want to POAS but the temptation is biiig. However, If I do, its going to be, Monday or Tuesday.
I am a new poster on these boards. I have been reading and getting advice from them for over a month now but wanted to join in once I saw this group for people in their 2ww. I had a 6dt transfer of 2 eggs on Monday and am really nervous because between day 5 and day 6 we went from 8 to 3 embryos. I am so nervous the two that implanted will also go away! I go in next Friday, the 17th, for the blood test but am already anxious to start POAS!! Thanks for all the great advice yall post on here!
Welcome Allie to the dreadful 2ww You're right up the road from me! I'm in Raleigh.
Just wanted to let everyone else know that I experienced some bleeding/spotting today. I would have welcomed this a few days ago and thought of it as implantation bleeding. But spotting after getting a BFP on a hpt just confuses me Well as long as it remains just spotting I won't freak out I guess. Although the cramping is starting to feel more like AF cramping Why does this all have to be so complicated!

cymplicity -
I had some bleeding (brownish) 13dpo with my IVF. I also started having strong AF cramps around 12dpo, and they lasted until about WEEK 13 of my pregnancy. I'd say you have all the classic great signs of a strong one (or two) that plan to stick for the long haul. I hope this puts your mind at ease.
Thank you latinosunshine and Julie!! You are putting my mind at easy The spotting went from light pink to brownish and I hear that's a good sign. Of course I went and took another hpt for good measure, LOL!

Good morning ladies! I'm 7dpt (3dt). What is the earliest I can start those HPTs??? What was the earliest any of you got BFPs? Still going nuts, but feeling a little more upbeat today. No symptoms to speak of...just patiently waiting!

Hey sbr! I copied this from ct-michelle (i think) and that it was good info and plan to use this myself:
After all of the reserach I did, I found that First Response pregnancy test claimed to read the lowest amounts of hcg (20-25). Remember anything over 5 is considered pregnant, and first response measures the lowest, so even with a negative hpt, you can still be pregnant. It is also reccomended to wait 10 days for the trigger hcg shot to be out of your system. So 7dp3dt, or 5dp5dt..etc. That is the absolute earliest they say, so you won't get a false positive. Also, keep in mind that some people are late implanters so don't fret about a negative. I was a late implanter and did not even see a super faint line until the day before my beta (10dp3dt, 13dpo). Of course all reccomendations are to use first morning pee since it is supposed to have the most hcg, but I have something to say about that too. The day before my beta, I did first morning pee and it was negative. I was devastated because i thought that was it, and then dh read online that if you drink alot before bed(which I do) then sometimes first moring pee is too diluted. So we tried again that day around noon, and it was a faint positive, and just kept getting darker from there! So don;t lose hope ever...blood test is the real result! Good luck and happy P-ing OAS!
so I think if you're 7dtp and 3dt then the trigger should be out of your system. Good luck and keep us posted!
Sarah, how many test do you have waiting for you? I took 2 on 8dpt and took another one last night (10dpt) after I saw the spotting. I'm all out now so I guess I'm done with POASing Your beta is the day after mine!! For once I'm hoping the weekend flies by.

Hello all. I hope it is ok if I crash your thread. I am 6dpt with fet with 2 embryos. We had our first ivf july 2006 and lucky first timers, we had Allie who just turned 2. We had 6 frozen embies, but only two survived, so this is our last chance. Our first beta will be in two days.
Cymplicity, when I got a BFP with Allie, I started bleeding a couple days after BFP and dr said it was the placenta forming? Good Luck!!!!!!
Good luck to everybody!

I am sorry if this posts twice, my computer is messing up. I wanted to see if you all had any advice on this or I may just need to call my doctor...I do my prog. shot every night at 7:30. My doctor originally said anytime within an hour of the shot the night before is fine for the next night. Do you think he means I have a 1/2 hour on either side of the shot or an hour? Would 6:30 be too early one night? What do you guys think?
You will never believe this!!! I had gone out to lunch with my DH at noon today, and when he was driving me back to work, we were REAR-ENDED by a LARGE DELIVERY TRUCK!!! I immediately started bawling and said, "My babies!" We were stopped at a red light and evidently the truck driver released the brake and came plowing into us. My husband's complete trunk is smashed up, so it was a pretty big impact. Although, when I really think about it, my head was the only thing that moved. (I have a headache.) I'm pretty sure I was securely seat belted in properly and I didn't jolt too bad, but naturally I'm really worried about my little embies. My DH assured me that they should be ok. What do you think????
I'm also super thankful my little guy was in daycare. That's a blessing for sure.
FRAZZLED!

P.S. If this doesn't work, can I file a claim with the driver's insurance for the $4K that lies in my belly????

allie, my clinic didn't give me any direction other than try to take it "around" the same time every night but between 7:00 p.m and 10:00 p.m. I usually take mine right at 7 to get it over with, but there was one time that I forgot and it was like 9:58!! Another time we didn't get home until after 8. So, I don't think it's a huge deal if you miss the hour window, just "try". I certainly don't freak out about it. BUT if your RE says you HAVE to do it at a certain, by all means listen to him and not me!
To answer you question though, I would think that if you took the shot at 7:30 one night, the next night you could take it between 6:30 & 8:30??? You'd be within an hour on either side of 7:30. Seems most are instructiong at night though so after 7 is probably better.
