Hello ladies. Just had my ultrasound today and my RE told me I can start with my stim. They gave me lupron, follistim and repronex. Possible ER is between April 21-24. God help us all. :D

trx- looks like we are on almost the same schedule...good luck with the injections!

tabatha- 83 is fine! Congrats on your official bfp! Anything above 5 is considered pregnant...and you are well above that. My first beta for my first ivf was only a 44, again, everyone is different.

sbr- I never would have thought about the meds affecting anything, but it does make sense. I am glad everything seems ok, just watch that head injury...you can never be too careful. So sorry your little one is not feeling well, and it stinks about the car seat...they are so expensive, I am about to buy a new one for Ella since she is outgrowing the infant seat.

caperez- I added you to the list. Looks like you may have a transfer close to mother's day (well, united states mother's day, if you are from the US) My beta should actually be very close to your retrieval.

neffi- good luck with ET. I am glad your embie is still going strong. I was wondering about lifting Ella during my 2ww. How much does Jack weigh? Ella is about 15 lbs, so I am not too concerned since I think they say no more than 20 or 25 lbs?? What did your RE say? I am more concerned if I need to take her somewhere since she is really heavy in the car seat and with doing normal stuff, like giving her a bath, since it puts my body in awkward positions, but I am sure I will make due. DH will help out, but he will go to work and be recovering from TESE. It will be a challenge I am sure.

ok, now I am really off to bed...I will talk to you all later.

Hey ladies,

Congrats to all who received a BFP recently. My prayers are with those of you who are stiming and in you 2WW.

AFM I had my 6 week ultrasound today and I saw my baby's heartbeat!! Very exciting. Also, to my surprise I found that both embryos implanted. However, the doctor says that one is les developed that the other and may not make it. I am going back again next week for another ultraound which will hopefully have more to tell. I have been feeling kinda weird since I have had no real symptoms of pregnancy. Other than tender breasts and being a little tired I have had no other symptoms.

Anyways, very exciting times!! Lot's of stuff happening in the group. My thoughts are with you all!!

hey guys I got some information on grading of eggs...hope it helps

Critical points in development are (1) fertilization, (2) 4 to 8 cell stage and (3) morula to blastocyst stage.
Numeric grading systems for multicell embryos usually have 4 levels:
Grade 1: even cell division, no fragmentation
Grade 2: even cell division, small fragmentation
Grade 3: uneven cell division, moderate fragmentation
Grade 4: uneven cell division, excessive fragmentation
Blastocysts are graded differently with a number and two letters.
The number refers to the degree of expansion of the blastocyst (1 is the least expanded, 6 is the most expanded). The first letter (A,B, or C) refers to the quality of the inner cell mass (the part of the blastocyst that is going to be the baby) and the second letter (A, B, or C) refers to the quality of the trophectoderm (the part of the blastocyst that is going to be the placenta).
Multicell embryos that recieve grade 1 or 2 often develop to the blastocyst stage, those receiving grade 3 or 4 rarely develop to the blastocyst stage. Sometimes the laboratory uses the reversed scale where a grade 4 embryo is equivalent to a grade 1 embryo on the above scale.
27 yrs Right fallopian tube blocked, Poor egg quality
DH:28 Low Sperm motility
AMH: Very Low - Below 0.30
2008: 4 IUI cycles - negative
IVF:ICSI - 1st cycle - Febraury 09 - BFN
IVF:ICSI - 2nd cycle - April 09 - BFN

Hi Ladies,
I went for my 6 day blood check (4/9) after transfer (4/4) and found out my levels are low - estrogen 215 and progesterone 13. They increased my meds. Have any of you had low levels, but ended up preg? I was so sad yesterday and felt like it was over. I know I have to stay positive because it's better, but it's hard. I don't have any symptoms either which plays with my head. I have been debating on whether to take HPT before next Friday (4/17 is the big day). I want to on Thursday, but I have also read taking the test could give me a false positive. I guess the day before couldn't hurt anything, right? :) I needed to vent and thank you for listening.
Have a great Easter everyone!

Hopeful, I got the same call yesterday and they upped my PIO and estrogen dose. Nurse said its not an indicator of pregnancy.

Well I am back from ET...everything went well. We transferred 2 grade c embies. I know the ratin gof embies is different everywhere but ours were right under perfect. I tend to not pay much attenton to that casue our first cycle we had perfect embies and BFN and when I conceived Jack my embies were just mid-grade...so who knows....we did have another that was a little less than the other frozen and one that didnt make it through the freeze. I did not want to transfer more than two this time though.

CT Michele--can you move me to the 2ww list. My beta is 4/21

I did my POAS this morning and it was a BFN. It is VERY early, only 8dpt, so I'm not too worried...yet!! :o

The day is not much better than yesterday so far...Jack, my two-year-old woke up puking this morning...and we're now dealing with the nightmare of all the insurance stuff from yesterday's accident. Oh well....all this keeps my mind off of the 2ww and the BFN POAS this morning....

sbr- you knew it would be early, but anything is possible at any point with hpt's. I will join you soon on the negative hpt marathon, hopefully to get to a positive one soon though. So sorry Jack is not feeling well, and insurance stuff stinks!

wishful- 2ww technically starts from day of ER (day of conception/ovualation), so with a 5dt your test should be a little earlier since you are already 5 days into your 2ww, but all clinics are different, some wait longer than 2 weeks, just to be sure. Good luck at your transfer...and where will you do beta? At a clinic in UK, or just hpt?

Neffi- I am glad your transfer went well and your embie hung on there! I do hope this works for you, and I agree about the grading, I know we all want the best of grading, but I have seen it work in all circumstances and have seen it fail with perfects. I moved you to the 2ww.

hopeful- I don't think eastrogen and progesterone at this level is an indicator at all, so I wouldn't get all worried. That is why they check, to make sure your meds are right, they just needed to adjust a little. That is normal for clinics to do, since again, everyone's body is different and they can not predict someone's dose.

babyluv- thanks for the grading info, very interesting.

afm- my first shot is tonight...yippee! I finally made it here. I have not been feeling great the past couple of days (sore throat, ears hurt) so I hope that doesn't affect anything, I really wanted to feel 100% for stim start, but oh well. Also no sign of af, so I guess it doesn't matter, my clinic didn't give me instructions either way and I remember last ivf, I also did not get my period after stopping bcp's and before starting stims. Ok, I gotta run, go get Ella some breakfast, I will check in again soon though.

aims, it took me about an hour to do my first PIO shot. It went from pacing the room, to lining up to do it, to recapping the needing and saying "I can't do this" to watching videos of other women on youtube do it...it was crazy! I do mine in front of a mirror...makes it like I'm watching someone else do it and I'm not looking directly at my own skin that I'm about to stab  I put all my weight on the opposite leg and kind of let the one i'm injecting hang, instead of trying to stretch the skin like dh does, I just kind of lay my fingers flat and pull up on my skin with my opposite hand, take a deep breath and stick it. It still takes me 2 or 3 practice swings :P

That being said, doing the shots is really starting to get old! I was instructed to continue them until I'm 10 weeks pregnant (if the cycle is successful)!! I'm tired of them after only 2 weeks. Don't know how I'm going to make it. Lately DH has had to remind me because I've been completely forgetting about them. Then I'm like a little stuboorn kid being forced to take her medicine  The other shots weren't as bad because there was an end in sight. PIO is for the birds! How long does everyone else have to take it? Anyone else getting sick of the PIO shots??
