washingtonda- michaela is beautiful! And yay for the obama shirt...ella had one for election day when we voted, and i put a picture of it in her baby book as an important day. And that is funny about mama, Ella does the same thing and daddy is jealous too, ella says mama and i hear daddy say dada, dada. He is trying so hard! I also see you got her ears pierced, how did that go? I am contemplating it myself, but just not sure.

I don't know if you have a thread over on the parents side of the board, but I am in the Bumpin 08 Fall mommies. The moms there all have babies between 4 and 8 months right now, and we talk about everything the little ones are going through, from sippy cups, to solid eating and sleep habits and milestones. Feel free to come and join us (if you haven't in the past, or rejoin us if you haven't been there in a while). I think it is good to have others to talk to with babies around the same age.

Hi everyone!! thought I'd stop by with some pictures. The link is at the bottom of the post, it's mostly hospital pics so please don;t mind how absolutely horrific I look.

I hope every one is doing well. Can someone fill me in with who gave birth yet? I'm a little busy to go on and keep tabs these days. Little boys running my life and I love every second of it.

My boys are doing great, getting ready for their first holiday. They're such good babies!! this whole thing is a lot easier then i thought it would be because they're so calm and easy going. I wish every one who's about to have a newborn in the house (multiples or otherwise) the temperment of both my boys.

Hi dears,

Just a quick update, I'll do personals later. I'm in the hospital!!!!! most likely our little one will be born tomorrow :)

I developed a similar condition as alreadyblessed. I had this "allergic reaction" (that's what I thought it was) in my feet and hands. I took benadryl and nothing was happening, in fact it was getting worse, so dh and I decided to drive to ER just to have it checked. Well, my midwife happened to be at L &D attending a birth and she had me come up for a check up. She thinks I have that liver condition that some women develop at the end of pregnancy (sorry, can't remember the name), but the only way to confirm it is through a test that takes 10 days. In any case, she strongly encouraged us to start inducing. Her opinion is that both baby and I are looking great, why risk it and wait for some complication to arise? afterall my due date was two days ago. Of course, we still sort of had the option of going home, but dh and I decided to listen to her advice and here we are!!!

They put that vaginal cream to start labor, and oh Lord, contractions started about 30 minutes after. I've been having a lot of them, but I'm still coping with the pain ok :) They think she'll come tomorrow sometime during the day, maybe in the AM? we'll see.

Anyway, send your love, prayers, and positive vibes. Thank you for all your support and for being so sympathetic about my venting ;)

Yay Esperanza! Everytime I see you post I wonder if it is the big moment, and now it finally is! I agree there is no point in waiting, you are already two days past and if you went home you may be back inducing anyway, so why risk anything. Good luck with your delivery and I can not wait to hear about the arrival of your little ballerina! Let us know whenever you can...

I am so excited for you! :D

emfossum- I was just a thread crasher here, but it started happening pretty frequently. I would keep checking in on esperanza as she and I originally cycled together way back in December 2007, that is when I got my bfp and had Ella this past august, she is almost 8 months old. I have also been checking in on jenny as it turns out we had the same RE, same ob office, same hospital and just found our hospital rooms were right next to each other! (I know, small world, huh) I am currently cycler again trying for a sibling for Ella, I am on day 2 of stims. So i just pop in and say hi a lot, and you will see me all over these boards, i spend a lot of time here...and like i said, i have seen your name before, i just don't remember where.

I see that she is in the hospital and that precious little girl could be here any time now. Espeanza if you are reading, I have everything crossed for a smooth delivery for you and DH. I know labor is hard so I'm not wishing you a Easter Bunny baby. Let that little ballerina show her presious face as soon as possible so you can start to enjoy the joys of motherhood.

Waiting for Ballerina

Post by Literatriz »

Hey everyone,
Enjoy the milder climate all over the wold (including India, Sony, Daddy and Anay)! No wonder so many religious traditions have Holidays around this time!

Esperanza, just wishing you a nice moment to receive the so waited Ballerina in your arms. I did develop the same condition and it went away as fast as it came. Hope all is well, don't be shy of asking for help and painkillers. I took less than they prescrbed because it slowed me down in word retrieval - and I need to have my words... Enjoy every minute, I will be thinking of you!

Be well, muchas felicidades para usted and su nina! Literatriz

Just popped on here to see if Esperanza had that little girl yet. I see she has not posted so I am hoping that she is holding her bundle of joy as we speak.

Espeanza if you are reading, please let us know the details as to what is going on with you and the little one. Hope all is well and you, DH and baby are all doing just wonderfully.

Hi all! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Busy, I guess!!! Matthew is a night owl, so he is sleeping right now!! I'm sure he will figure out his days and nights soon enough, and I'm not complaining-only grateful to have him. Waiting on word on Esperanza-hoping she has welcomed her ballerina into this world already. Ct-Michele-you are so close to transfer my friend-HOW EXCITING!!!!! AFM, I'm glad the weather is starting to warm up a bit around here-Mommy needs to do some walking with baby to try to loose some of this"baby weight" (he-he!) Jennifer

Hello everyone,

I'm not going to write details right now as I am exhausted and I want to take a nap before my ballerina wakes up. SHE'S HERE!!!!!

Her name is Asha and she's so precious. I'm so in love with her. She was born on Saturday morning at 6:52 AM, I labored all night Friday, and she came really quickly. They only had to put that vaginal cream and that was all we need it, my labor started quickly and I pushed for something like 30 minutes only and she was out :) I'm in awe of what my body was able to do. The only down side is that my placenta was stuck and I lost a lot of blood so I'm anemic now...trying to take care of that.

She's healthy (except for a body rash that doesn't seem to be of major concern to the pediatricians right now) and serene. I'll give you more details later and post pictures. I just wanted to say thank you for the prayers, love and support, I'm sure they helped because we're both here at home!!!!

Romi- Yay! I have anxiously been waiting for your post, I am so glad you and your little ballerina Asha are home safely. And I can't wait to see some pictures, I will check facebook too. I am glad to hear labor wasn't bad either, 30 minutes of pushing sounds pretty good, but sorry to hear about the placenta.

Again, a big congrats...and give that precious little girl a kiss from her cyber auntie!
