Good morning...took my 2nd POAS and it was a BFN! I admit I'm getting sad, although, I also know it's pretty early still. 9dpt3dt. Last night before bed I was all over other message boards and there are SOOOOO many stories out there about positive betas after negative HPTs, but I would just like to be the BFP HPT AND the BFP Beta!!! The insanity of the 2ww is killing me. I'm trying to stay super positive!
We're heading off to see family for the Easter weekend....good luck to you all.

sarah- you know it is still early...I know it stinks to see a negative, but it is true that sometimes people never see a positive hpt but still are pregnant. So keep up the faith and have a greart weekend with your family.
hazel- I forgot to ask RE about the aspirin, but I will ask MOnday at my first scan. I am hesitant to change anything from last time, I was even nervous when he told me to use all menopur last night and skip the follistim, it certain things worked before, shouldn't they work again? I did track one down, RE gave me a phone number for a specialty pharmacy about 20 minutes away from my house, and they have one. DH is going to pick it up since he is out at work and is sort of in the area, just a little out of his way, but at least I don;t have to go out on this rainy yucky day.
It looks like you and me will be closer than we thought! Of course it all depends on how I stim too, but if everything happens the same way it did last time, I would have ER tuesday the 21st, which will put us only 4 or 5 days apart depending on when you trigger, so we will have to endure the 2ww together! (and I am super excited to finally be moved up top of the list I have been upkeeping!)
carolyn- congrats on 2 great embies, I moved you to the dreadful 2ww, but you have a lot of people to keep you company! I can not believe how many people are on their 2ww!
babyluv- I would also love that convenience, you can't get anything for $1 a day though, if they offer that service here, I am sure it is crazy expensive.
cymplicity- so glad your pio shots are going well, I sometimes think injections might be easy to do myself, but I kinda like having dh involved to, I think he likes giving them to me.
kline- I would have been so mad if I got cancelled because I didn't have the pen last night! But it makes since you got cancelled last time because of chicken pox. Chicken pox as an adult is really bad, and it scares me because I never had them as a kid (or my mom says I had one speck and the dr says i could get them for real some time). I work in a school so that stuff is all over the place. I am glad your dh got rid of them and you were able to join us for this cycle.
ok, I think I am all caught up again...nothing new for me, just a little headache that could be stim related or not. I think I will start taking prenatal meds tonight with my stims, I have a whole bunch leftover from when I was pregnant and maybe those will keep me healthy during this process.

Hazel-Thanks so much for taking the time to write all that info for me. It was really sweet of you, and very helpful. I did try the heat thing last night pre-injection. I didn't really leave it on long, so not sure if it helped, but the shot went great and my bum doesn't hurt today on that side. I am still hurting from the shot I did two nights ago. I think I must of hit a nerve on my way in, no extra blood, but it did hurt a lot more than the other ones. In fact tonight I am going to inject the same side as last night to give my other sore side a chance to recoup! Cynthia- I haven't had DH do PIO but I agree, maybe when doing it yourself you know what to expect. Who knows, at this point I'm just as happy to keep doing it myself. Your right though, doing this for months will definitely suck.
AFM: Tomorrow is the big day for my FET to get my Easter Egg! I think we have decided to do one blast transfer since we really don't want twins. We still have a few tries with remaining frozens and insurance. If we didn't then we would of course lean towards two, but thank goodness we can try a few times, and in the end, only want one baby. Don't know if that sounds selfish, but I have a 6 year old, and can't imagine twins at this point for us.
Have a great Easter ladies!
Melanie
Anyone on here doing there first IVF??? This is my first time, and I don't know anything. I just started my own blog about my experience, not only to give people just starting some insite, but also to get some of my own feelings off my chest.
Dixie - there are tons of us on this thread who are first timers, myself included. There are also people who've been through it before, and are a great source of information! Between us, the ladies here are at all stages - waiting to get started, down regulating, stimulating, having egg retrieval (ER), having embryo transfer (ET) and in the dreaded 2ww (two week wait). What stage are you at now? I'm halfway through my stimulation phase, hoping for ER next Thursday or Friday.
sbr - keep the faith... Have a great time with your family over the Easter weekend.
Michele - yes, I definitely think you and I are going to be quite close together now that I appear to be stimming quite slowly. Does that mean I'll have to match you HPT for HPT???? Hope not, or I'd better put in my online bulk order now!! And you need to be a little bit careful about chickenpox if you haven't had it, because there can be issues for the baby if you are pregnant - I had it as an adult in January 2008 (it messed up an IUI cycle at the time). I felt SO ill, for about a month (and unfortunately I didn't have the willpower to resist picking at the spots, so I have the scars on my face to prove that I had it now!!). I never would have expected a childhood illness to feel so bad if you get it as an adult. A friend of mine also had it as an adult when she had just given birth to twins, and the doctors gave her and the babies lots of shots of something to reduce the effect, so there are things which can be done if you get it. Mind you, it is supposed to be madly contagious and if you work in a school where the infection is always flying around and haven't had it yet, then chances are you won't! P.S Boo to headaches, hope yours goes away soon.
Melanie - you are very welcome. Hope all goes well tomorrow with your one blast. Try heating the injection site even more tonight (I do it enough so that the skin actually goes pink, so for about five minutes with a fairly hot/warm beany) and let me know what you think!

Michelle - Sorry about the follintim, Something like that happen to me, but my clinic have an inventory, they loan me the med and then I order it to the drugs store. What a bad moment.
sbr - I think is a little early to POAS, don't worry, and wait.
Hazel - I like the stats you posted, so for me is like 48%, I like that number.
Girls, I'm a little down today, feel like crying. I've been with cramps since last night, I feel like if AF was here, but no bleeding, just the cramps and the down mood. In my normal cycle, today it would be my AF day, and I'm feeling like it is. I'm afraid is going to come. I wanted to POAS but my last Novarel shot was last saturday (after ET) and I think is in my system.
Well I finally started AF I have been so down thinking I was going to end up skipping a month and having to cancel this cycle. Now hopefully my 2nd suppression check will go well on Monday and I can start stims Tuesday. YAY!
I don't think I will have time tomorrow with all of the running around, so I just wanted to say...

sari- I know it's hard, but try to keep the pma, you still have a while until your beta, anything you are feeling physically could mean anything, so don't try to over analyze too much
dixie- welcome, you have found a wonderful support group, these ladies are awesome!
hjw- yes, we may have to go hpt for hpt...but good luck keeping up with me and my bulk order! haha!

Hazel- I heated the area tonight for a little while (about 5 min), it was pink, shot went well. It hasn't bothered me except that one time, but the heating did take away that initial pinch you feel as you puncture the skin. Thanks for the advise, and thanks for your well wishes for my FET tomorrow.
Michelle-Thanks for your well wishes for my FEt tomorrow also. It is so sweet to know you guys care.
I also find out tomorrow, how many of my 5 embies made it to blast. Hopefully we have at least one to put back in.
Funny thing is, my FET is Easter, Beta is on Dh's b-day, and due date (if I got a BFP) would be Christmas Day. This one has got to work, it is so blessed
Have a great Easter everyone!
Melanie
I have decided that I simply can't take the disappointment of any more negative HPTs, so I'm done---waiting until my beta on Tuesday. I just took the two at 8dpt3dt (Friday) and 9dpt3dt (Saturday), which I know is too early, but if they would have continued to be negative I just couldn't have bared it. I'd rather just be utterly disappointed once rather than day after day torturing myself still holding out a slim hope...so that's the story. I may cave later or tomorrow, but I doubt it!
We had a nice Easter. Jack had so much fun finding the Easter eggs and he did really well in church!
Happy Easter to all!

I was wondering if i could join you ladie? i'm new to the IVF world but am currently undergoing treatment. a little background, DH and i have a 14 month old son. DH underwent fertiltiy meds due to kaulmann's syndrome. basically he is sterile without these meds. Dh banked his sperm when i was 5 months preggo to get off the expensive meds. when LO was 10 months old we tried a natural cycle which was stopped, we tried an IUI which failed and RE said we should do IVF considering our limited supply of sperm. so....we are currenlty in the process. if all goes well expected egg retrieval will be april 28th. we are excited but extremely nervous. i would like to join this group if you all wouldn't mind. we are new to this and i would love to learn from everyone's experiences.
mom2luke- welcome, this is a fantastic group of ladies! It looks like your expected egg retrieval will be on my birthday...so hopefully it will be a lucky day for you!
sbr- I guess it is best to just wait for your beta...I started to feel the same way after like my 5th or 6th negative hpt, but luckily it turned out just fine in the end.

Hey Sari, so sorry to hear that you were having a 'down' day on Saturday. Are you feeling better now? I know it is probably difficult but try to keep the faith!
sbr - likewise, try and stay positive! Beta isn't far away now.
sportsmom - yay, AF arrived! Good luck for your suppression check today and here's hoping you can start stimming tomorrow! So I guess that would mean ER around the end of this month?
mom2luke - welcome! You are more than welcome to join us, we look forward to getting to know you. If your ER is on the 28th, it sounds like you and sportsmom will be on pretty much the same timing. I'm due for ER later this week and Michele is due the week after, so there are a few of us in the same boat at the moment. How have you been finding the IVF experience so far?
Michele - good luck with your scan today! Let us know how you get on...
Melanie - I was thinking of you all yesterday. Hope you are relaxing at home today and enjoying being PUPO!
AFM, off to play golf for one final time to make the most of the Easter weekend. I have a scan again tomorrow (day 13 of stims) so I should know my ER date after that. I'm both excited and scared!
