I just had my FET earlier today, and of course I am now sitting in bed trying not to think too much about it. Ha... Anyway, we transferred one 6-day blast today and the embryologist told us that the embryo looked good and that 90% of the cells survived the thaw, etc. We only transferred one in an effort to reduce the chance of multiples, but realize this also reduces the success rates. Has anyone had a similar experience? Can you tell me your result? I'm just wondering what our realistic chances are that this embryo will make it and give us the baby we so want in our lives. I'm not sure of how all of this translates into possible success rates, etc.

I've been in your exact same situation. I also lost my twins at 20 weeks b/c of IC. I've since had a Trans Abdominal Cerclage (permanent stitch) The first cycle after my loss I transferred one Frozen embryo. It didn't work. Then I transfered 2, 1 stuck, but I miscarried at 8 weeks. then I transferred 2, that was negative. Now I'm on my last try. I have 3 left and will be transferring all 3. I am self pay and can't afford to keep paying for these FET's. I hope you have better luck than us. Losing babies, especially those we worked so hard to get, is just awful. good luck on your journey. keep me posted. i go this friday for my transfer

At my clinic, that transfer you described would have about a 30-40% chance of live birth. That's why we prefer to transfer two when we are thawing blasts.
I just have to share my good news. I am 7dp6dt, and I POAS this morning and got a positive. It was a faint line, but definitely there. I had actually POAS Sunday morning as well at only 6dp, and got a very faint line (actaully had to call my DH in to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me), so today's was much darker comparitively speaking. I go for my beta on Wednesday, 4/22, so I am very excited. Cautiously optimistic may be a better description. My DH and I will be stopping by the store on the way home today to pick up a couple of more HPT's to hopefully watch the line get darker.

Hi Ghost, I got confirmation of my BFP today. My first beta at 9dp6dt was 85. RE's office said this was a great number, especially for a FET cycle. They said that for some reason in FET cycles, the betas tend to rise slower. Do you agree with that statement? We have a long way to go, but at least we're on the right track.

We transferred 4 6 day blasts almost exactly a year ago. 2 had 100% adn 95% cell survival, were well expanded and were hatching. 1 had 90% cell survival, had expanded but was not hatching. 1 had 75% cell survival and was not expanded or hatching. We transferred all by choice and Dr Schoolcraft agreed since 2 didn't look that great. Anyway, we have one beautiful, healthy baby boy now! One is plenty....trust me, I don't know how people do it with multiples, although I would have been willing to try (obviously). My first beta was 200 and the 2nd was 455.
I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy!

I definitely agree with that statement, within the context of frozen-thawed blastocysts. Been studying it in some detail, in fact.
