Thanks everybody :) I have a question. My first beta was rather informal. I went in for blood work and they sent me home and told me they'd call me with results. I guess I was expecting to find out shortly afterwards and sit down with RE to discuss results? Is this normal? Should I expect the same at my 2nd beta? The main reason is because dh met me there (it's about a 45 min drive for us) and since they did nothing other than draw blood, it was a wasted trip for him. Just wondering if it's worth him going on Wednesday.

ok, i think i updated everyone who needed to be, if i missed anyone, please tell me.

I went for u/s and bw this morning. They did not give me measurements or exact numbers, but they saw 4 or 5 follicles on my right and 5 or 6 on my left, which is about the same as my first ivf. On the same day during my last ivf I had 11 follicles, so we are about the same. It looks like she only measured one or two and did not tell me the measurement. When they called back with my blood results, they told me to reduce my follistim from 375iu to 300iu, and they also said they want to see me back tomorrow morning for another u/s and bloodwork, even though they said everything looked good. I guess I sounded concerned about why they wanted to see me again tomorrow, and she told me that I "took off well" and doc wants to watch closely. I have a feeling, like last time, I may start ganerelix by wednesday morning to prevent ovulation.

I am feeling ok, tired more than anything, which could be a stim side effect, or I am just still exhausted from all of the easter running around. I haven't felt bloated until the actual u/s, I could feel a bunch of pressure when whe was checking each ovary. I asked about the baby aspirin, they said it is up to me. They said you take it after ER if you want too, but told me if I am uncomfortable taking it, then don't, so I will probably skip it since I didn;t use it last time and was successful then.

sportsmom- congrats on finally starting stims!

cymplicity- congrats on the official news, so exciting to add another bfp to the list!

tabatha- and congrats on your newest numbers, they sound like good numbers, when is your u/s?

latino- all hpt's are different on the amount of hcg they will measure, it should say on the instructions from the package, or maybe on their website, most over the counters will measure as low as 25, but some are 50 or 100.

Sari- I think being extra sleepy was my first sign of pregnancy, so maybe that is a good thing

neffi- I to could never resist the temptation of an hpt. My bulk order actually just arrived in the mail. I ordered 5 of webwombs tests which are suppose to detect between 10-15, and 6 of the first response I used last time, which is 25, so hopefully those 11 will get me through to my beta!

dys- how you doing? Did you poas yet? Beta soon, hope everything is well with you.

ok, I gotta go rest, I am so tired...I will catch up again soon. I am excited about all the betas this week...hopefully a lot of bfp's coming our way!

 Congrats Cynthia and Tabatha on your BFP.
See Cynthia I told you you were prego, what does your doc think of your hcg- possibly twins? I am so happy for you. I was honestly a little worried when you told of your GI issues, since I had them too and got a BFN- but your little one or ones are strong and hung in there. As far as the betas go, they are just lab work and not worth taking DH. I did mine at a local lab, then got a call from RE later that afternoon regarding results. I don't think it's common for them to tell you in person.
Hazel- You are so sweet to have thought of me on Easter, I really appreciate your well wishes.
 One of you girls asked about having a lot of white discharge, although your using PIO. My RE told me last cycle that all the hormones, especially estrogen will cause that. Even if your not taking estrogen supplements, it can still happen because your body made it during the stim of your follicles. So a higher than average amount of cervical discharge is normal, as long as it is not foul smelling, or is causing you vaginal or perineal irritation. Hope that helps.
 AFM: I had my little Easter Egg put back inside me on Sunday! The most expensive Easter Egg we've ever had
I little info for newbies- March I had a fresh cycle=BFN, but was able to freeze 13 embies. Luckily RE let me go right into an FET(frozen embryo transfer) cycle. We defrosted 6 of our embies last week and 5 made thaw. We went in on Sunday for a single blastocyst transfer. I was disappointed because 3 of the five that were developing properly, were only at the morula stage on day 5 (morulas are day 4 embryos). We still decided to put only 1 in. Later when embryologist came in at my request, he said he had recommended we transfer 2 since they were a little behind. I was so upset, since RE never said that to me. We were also not sure if the 2 they left out would continue to grow into blasts today. Which made me feel even worse about only transferring 1. Good news is that I got the phone call today that my two little guys that we didn't transfer made it to nice little blasts today and they froze them. I was so happy, because the one we chose to transfer was far more developed than the other two and so there is a really good chance he is doing well inside me. The embryologisHazel- I heated the area tonight for a little while (about 5 min), it was pink, shot went well. It hasn't bothered me except that one time, but the heating did take away that initial pinch you feel as you puncture the skin. Thanks for the advise, and thanks for your well wishes for my FET tomorrow.
Michelle-Thanks for your well wishes for my FEt tomorrow also. It is so sweet to know you guys care.
I also find out tomorrow, how many of my 5 embies made it to blast. Hopefully we have at least one to put back in.
Funny thing is, my FET is Easter, Beta is on Dh's b-day, and due date (if I got a BFP) would be Christmas Day. This one has got to work, it is so blessed :P
Have a great Easter everyone!
Melaniet explained that with eggs that were frozen, they often times take a little longer to develop since their metabolism was completely stopped.
I am so hopefully now, and so glad we decided to do just one. We don't want twins for us, and I feel like I can focus on just one little embie to grow, grow, grow....
Hopefully I will join all you girls with my own BFP this time
Michelle: Please update me to 2ww, beta will be 4/21!
Thanks, Melanie

hey girls

congratulations Tabatha and cymplicity I am very happy for you.

AFM I am on 10dp2dt and am getting really impatient now. All these days things were smooth with just heavy/sore boobs but from today the cramps have started. My knees are also paining. The cramps are in lower abdominal area and the vaginal area as well (sorry for the detail). Its just that I now want to POAS but my DH is not allowing me!! He thinks i will breakdown if it turns out to be a negative, I am planning to POAS tomo which will be 11dp2dt, so are there any changes of it giving me accurate results?

Please help I am going mad
